Duncan steps back just enough so that should he need to, he could immediately run and leap across this gap, and glares at his new companions, as well as the creature across the gap.
Daphina and Kayassa do as they say. Kayassa shows the flap of skin to the creature and it gives a giddy cackle. “Yesss,” it hisses with a large smile. “Perfectly, that will do. Yesss, flesh. Very hungry is Ferrum.”
Then, the two work together to bring a dead body from the other room. It is heavy, but working together you are able to heave the bloated corpse back to the cavern. “Yessss.... bring it to meeee.” The creature cackles. “Secrets then you will have. Yesss food, bring Ferrum.”
Orro is just quietly praying to Gond. "I don't pray often, though maybe I should do so more. Wonderbringer, please excuse what's about to happen. Greater good, like your holy books say! Understand the grand design, build our own mystical house of wonders, really try to figure out exactly how everything, even... creatures such as this... work. Right?" He gives a nervous laugh and turns back to the crevasse. He steels himself and helps get ready to dump the smaller body into the crevasse.
"Before we give you this... reward, tell us three secrets you've learned about Glasstaff, specifically about what he's doing here. If you're really helpful, there may be more where this came from."He gulps nervously, not even bringing himself to look at the creepy creature.
Kayassa smiles as she seems to be happy hour this, her fey nature not really seeing what is wrong with it. Things need to eat and now that they were no longer living she saw the bodies as something useful for them.
“No! Food first.... bring it to meeee.” The creature growls, now shaking in anticipation. “Yesss... I sense fear, dwarf. Bother you does Ferrum? What is the problem?” It asks cocking its head in mock confusion. “Proof of the food first you must show. Talk then we can.”
”No!” The creature hisses, angry now. “Stalling you are, and stop you must now! Bring the food to me, and rewarded you will be. Now,” it continues with a raspy deep breath, calming itself. “To the north, bridge. Rigged it is not. Cross with the body, you will.... Bring it to mee...” Ferrum says as it crawls over to the northern bridge.

As the creature crawls north, Orro looks at the rest of the party, squints, and shakes his head. He's quite obviously done with the whole endeavor. His hand rises and it crackles faintly with divine radiance. His eyebrows rise, with an unspoken question, and he begins to step forward, to the north, dragging the body with him.
“They deserve better than this.” Duncan says, clearly disapproving of desecrating these soldiers’ bodies. “It had better be worth it,”he grimaces, ready to leap at this creature any second, and only just managing to hold himself back as the others do their work.
The party slowly drags the body northwards to the bridge. Then with the help of a few of you are able to hoist it up and carry it across the rickety bridge. True to the creatures word, the bridge does not break.
As you near, Ferrum grows increasingly giddy and is mumbling constantly to himself. He gives a large eerie smile as you reach the end of the bridge and flop the body down in front of him “Yessssss..... food........”
The creature looks at you for a moment with apprehension before digging into the body. I’ll spare you the details, but a loud crunching and smacking sound begins to fill the air as blood begins to pool beneath your feet.
Ferrum is digging into the corpse and at least right now, you are all kind of awkwardly watching it. What would you like to do?
Kayassa will move to look around the room and wait for the creature to finish so they can learn more. She ends up back near the others. "We should make a list of questions to ask him."
“Definitely. We need to ask him about Glasstaff.” Daphina adds her input while not taking her eyes of the creature. Her hand rests on the hilt of one of her shortswords ready to attack of nessecary.
Duncan, half mumbling under his breath to the group as he watches the spectacle, says “be quick with your questions then. If this...thing... isn’t helpful it will need to be put down.”
Daphina follows Kayassa to help if she has trouble lifting a body. “We might as well give them the already dead bodies.”
Orro immediately regrets his thought, turns around toward the wall, and tries not to be sick. He's only barely successful.
Duncan steps back just enough so that should he need to, he could immediately run and leap across this gap, and glares at his new companions, as well as the creature across the gap.

Gundren scowls, and indicates the body being offered to it, wordlessly.
“Idiot, do you think I am!” The creature hisses. “More food from which this came, you must show first. Then information you will have.”

With littl else to do, Kayassa shrugs and goes to get more bodies for the strange creature.
Vulmar's suspicion about the creature only deepens, but a consensus had been reached. He quietly helps Kayassa haul the grotesque offerings.
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
”Cant we have the first secret for this first corpse?” Daphina asks the grotesque creature.
