The party makes their way back to Barthen’s Provisions where the inn is. It takes about 5 minutes of a slow walk down the now empty and dark Main Street of Phandalin.
Eventually though, you come to the Stonehill Inn— a newly built roadhouse of fieldstone and rough-hewn timbers. Through the door you can hear the sound of boisterous laughter and feel the warmth of a roaring fire.
You enter into a large and busy common room filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider. Some look of from their drinks or conversations, eyeing you with curiosity. However, your eyes then land on Sildar (who has obviously already had a couple drinks) as he merrily walks over to the party, holding a mug of ale. “Welcome, friends. I was wondering when you would show up? Come, come, sit down with me. Let us have a drink,” he says, slurring slightly.
Orro nods happily at Sildar, finds a seat, and orders a pint and a ploughman's plate. He says, "when we dropped off the shipment, we found these two, who were looking for Gundren. Perhaps you know what work he might have had for them? We do have the small problem of locating him. Any thoughts?"
Kayassa does not take long to walk over and get her own mug of ale so that she can join in with Sildar. "Let's talk business later. Right now we should all celebrate with ale or wine until we can't see straight!"
Vulmar begrudgingly follows the rest to the Stonehill Inn. He barely knew these people, and he wasn't about to get black-out drunk with them. Still, he politely accepts a tankard and nurses it throughout the night. Sildar didn't seem to be a 'business mood'. The half-elf doubted it would be any easier to get down to business (or plan Gundren's rescue) when all the others had a hangover, but he also knew being a buzzkill would be a bad first impression. Instead, he took the opportunity to observe each of them, how they acted - or interacted.

“Ah, of course,” Sildar yells over the hustle and bustle of the tavern. “I had forgotten Gundren had hired two more people to meet him in Phandalin. Something about helping out with the startup mining operation. Y’know Wave Echo Cave and all.” He then turns to Vulmar and Daphina. “Vulmar and ... Daphina, right? Gundren has told me quite a bit about you two,” he says.
Ryzen follows the group in and pulls up a chair. He doesn't accept any drinks, but watches and listens attentively. He casts an eye around at the other people in the tavern, watching for any aggressive actions. He stays silent, content with letting his allies do the talking.
Daphina follows the group in to the inn. She refuses any drinks and instead stands in a dark corner observing. When Sildar speaks to them she joins the group. “Yes I’m Daphina” she tells Sildar.
"Which would make me Vulmar, naturally." chimes in Vulmar. "We can talk about Wave Echo Cave and the job later. I assume everyone here was hired by Gundren to investigate?"

The fey pouts a bit at how boring people on the prime can be shaking her head as she closes her eyes. 'How long until I can come home? The prime is interesting but I am getting a bit bored...." She says in her mind, not sure if she is talking to herself or her patron.
For some reason others that are near her don't understand, Kayassa huffs and crosses her arms... But only after she finishes her drink and gets another.
When Ryzen speaks to the innkeeper, Daphina pulls 5 silver pieces out of her pocket and slides them across the counter. “I would like a room as well” she explains.
Seeing Daphina pay her own room makes him realize that getting separate rooms is probably for the best. Even though it would be cheaper to share, he doesn't know everyone that well yet. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out 2 gold pieces. He says, "We'll take the other four."
“Thank ya kindly,” The barkeep says as he reaches beneath the counter and produces a key for Daphina and four for Ryzen. “Names Toblen. I run this place, so just let me know if you need anything, all right? I noticed you lot look like you’re new to Phandalin.” He says.
"Yes we are. We brought some good down the Triboar trail I think it was." Kayassa says, not giving more detail then she thought was necessary at the moment.
Ryzen nods his thanks to Toblen as he takes the keys. He walks back over to the group and hands each person a key. He says, "I've payed for the night," as he sits back down to listen for the conversation.
Kayassa will move to follow the others, seeming as though she was going to go over and watch the card games being played.
