“Goddamnit! If you wanna trudge through the snow on your own you’re welcome to it, but you’ll have to go through me first.” Gilgin hiffs and puffs, “I care to damn much about you to let you throw your life away, so you rest your god damn sleepy eyes and we’ll look out for you!”
Gilgin tries to remove the silver circle from the mirror, using his mining gear he found at the mine near Termalaine. ”Nyx, we can use this for your spell!”
Roll a strength check with proficiency (for your tool skills) to see if you can remove the silver. Also roll me an Intelligence (blacksmith) check as well please.
While he does this he tells of what he saw coming in here. There is another tunnel to the south that leads to a closed door. Not sure what would be behind it but if we are staying here we should check it out at some point. Perhaps after we have rested.
Since Kravek used to work in a blacksmith he might know what it is. 11
James lets out a sigh, not having enough mental and emotional strength to argue with his friend.
James shuffles along behind the others, keeping watch, but also occasionally, looking off to a spot, like he's looking at someone, but no one is there.
As the others start to try and pry more valuable material from the structure, James remarks.
"I still have the pickaxe I found in the mine, maybe some of you do as well? Anyway, they may be of use, if that silver doesn't come out so easily."
Perception check: 11(disadvantage from Exhaustion Level 1)
Gilgin Intelligence, 10 (added proficiency for smiths tools, if they don’t apply just minus 2) (oof, any chance Nyx’s cleaning can count as help for this, or am I stretching?)
Gilgin looks at James, pointing at his own pickaxe he’s using. “Aye, ye really do need the rest don’t ye... Nyx, don’t worry, I think the gem’s ok, but we got tools fer this. Minings not just a means to an end for me, it’s a way of life. I’m not really that good at it, not as good as the workers from my town, but I know the trade, I respect it, and it brings me closer to my god.”
As Gilgin inspects the silver, he nods with Kravek, “If it’s abigger more defensible room, then maybe we can stay there, though the druid was staying in that other room, so I doubt it. How do you guys feel, I’m pretty beat myself, but maybe your orc friend can help? Say... what kind of druid sleeps in an elven made rock temple thingy? Ain’t they all about sleeping under trees and whatnot?”
Hifu says that he could do with a brief rest as well. We would want to close the doors on either end of this enclosure. He would use his miner's pick to drive a wedge under one door and block it and perhaps pitons on the other. Once we have made it secure, we would rest for an hour. "Gilgin or Nyx, should you look to detect magic around here and see what else that little bugger is hiding?"
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
You entered through a whole in the wall, there is no door there.
In the south east corner is a flight of stairs that end in front of a large smoth marble slab. Plain stone, no hinges, doorknobs, leavers or anything. Only thing that makes it likely to be a door is the location and its size.
The short tunnel south leads to another „door“, but again smoth stone, no handle or hinges. That one got a half moon inlayed above the door.
The door that is open (swinging inside) at the moment that leads to the room the druid came from. Half moon glowing above the door.
Wich door do you want to try to barricade and where do you want to rest?
As Gilgin inspects the moon symbols he laments, “Alas, I need to pray to Dumathoin, to gain such a skill. I can do so as we rest. Hey.... Aint these signs the same as on the sundial out there? You think the doors react to the lunar cycle or something?”
Beside the pictograms outside, about an acorn, hand, arrow, fire and brazier and the several moon cycles, you don‘t see any other pictures or writings.

Nyx says, "Yeah. Sorry about taking an axe to the crystal. Want any help with this bit?"
She cleans up the area Gilgin is about to work on with some prestidigitation
Kraveks takes a look at the silver as well.

Gilgin, you manage to pry off the round piece of silver from above the mirror, add a silver disc (?) to your inventory.
James puts his head in his hand, shaking it, before looking back up with a weak smile.
"Your right, I really do need that rest."

Nyx says, "I'm no good at detecting magic. But have you seen any notes or signs or anything of the kind? I tend to be pretty good at that stuff."
She herself takes a look around for anything resembling writing or signage.

Everyone roll me an insight check please. No guidance!
Hifu Insight : 21

Hifu, you ask yourself: There is no handle on the door, how do you want to open it if you close it and it locks?
Nyx insight check: 21
Kravek insight 9 ofc
