You proceed following the Kobald tracks down the central tunnel into a cavern, where benches and tables are set up as workspaces where miners clean any gemstones they find. Gravel and pebbles are strewn on the ground. Scattered across the floor are a few hammers, picks, and broken lanterns. To your right on the west side a second tunnel conects to this cavern leading back to the entrance, but its is 7 ft above the ground. Past the work area in the southeast corner is a third tunnel, that leads deeper into the mine.
The tunnel is curving back and forth, limiting your view to maybe 25 ft of dark empty tunnel. But you do notice the rushing of the underground creak getting stronger again from that direction.
You enter a large dark cave from the south west, wodden planks and struts form a walkway along the south wall of a seemingly bottomless vertical shaft. A narrow waterfall cascades down the northeast wall, and the sound of rushing water is loud in the confined space.

“Well, well, well - a that’s a deep well. Is that where ye crawled out of Nyx? hahaha” Gilgin seems to find his own insult hilarious. “Now where are those bleedin’ Kobolds?” Gilgin checks the floor for more tracks.

Hifu searches for any sign of activity or rodents of unusual size. Perception : 6
Hifu also searches for any tracks, looking for where the kobolds were headed, ? down? Survival : 13
Hifu laughs at Gilgin's joke and helps him in the search. "Any sign that Drizzt Do'Urden has been through here? I suppose he would have already skewered those kobolds for us by now."
You can see dusty tracks on the wooden planks, but because of the material, the damp air and the age, it is hard to make out details. All the tracks are mixed together. Also because of the water cascade and the cave amplifying the noise, it is hard to hear each other and you need to raise your voice to hear each other jest.
Those of you who take a look down the hole, in the torchlight or with your darkvision, you see more wooden structures maybe 30 ft down on the opposing wall close to the waterfall.
Someone’s been diggin’ deep - and I don’t think fer gems! Gilgin shouts over the waterfall We goin’ down - or yous wanna head back and report this? We can grab some gems on the way out.”
Kravek takes slow steps not knowing how sturdy the structures are for someone of his size. Moving down he looks down every now and then to see how far he still has to go. Hearing little from the others with the waterfall so near he makes sure he looks around to see if they are still near.
“Agree, left. That is where I saw the tracks going.”
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
”Hey, Li’lun - looks like we’re bein’ left behind. Wanna follow ‘em?”
Gilgin starts to follow the others down the tunnel.

Nyx says, "Of course!"
Nyx is the rear guard this time around, but definitely not getting left behind.

”Hmm, seems good thing we never got ourselves wet, ha!”
Gilgin cautiously makes his way through the tunnel, peeking around each corner as he goes.

James smiles at Gilgin's mirth and Hifu's enthusiasm, keeping his eye's out for trouble, but letting the more astute trackers, do the tracking.

The structures you see further down are the same style and materials as the ones you are standing on.
Nyx just points ahead and motions to keep moving.
Gilgin smiles and nods at his little friend before making his way down the structure, chuckling to himself

James follows the others, keeping his eyes and ears out for trouble, not that much can be heard, with the thundering of the waterfall.

Hifu follows as well, looking for any movement and checking his steps carefully as we go.
