Casts guidance on Kravek

As Hifu and Gilgin mock Kravek he lashes out in a firm voice, Be silent. You two dont appreciate a real woman. His words unexpectedly harsh, clearly he fancies the woman

He stands up and fixes his clothes to straighten them out and checks if he spilled any ale on him to wipe it off. He makes sure that some of his adamantine splint is showing under his clothes. A warrior such as her might notice the quality. 

Kravek walks up to the female goliath and puffs his chest. Well met, my name is Kravek. he pauses a moment since its been a while since he could look someone in the eye without looking down. 

My uh .. men, yes my men and i... he motions his head over to the where the group sitting We would like to help with the mine. Ofcourse i would gladly help such a beauti.. urgh capable wom.. warrior such as yourself. But my men would like payment. As he notices hes stumbling over his words. he pauzes again. Perhaps you would allow us to speak to Oarus to discuss the details and after clearing the mine i could offer you a drink perhaps?

James smiles as Kravek readies himself and walks over to speak to the goliath women.

Picking up the dice, James rolls to see if he can could have won or not: 11

James lets out a breath, taking one more dice throw: 1

James smiles, collecting the dice and the 20cp, standing and walking over to Kravek.

"Your winnings."

James hands Kravek his dice and the 20cp.

Addressing the goliath women himself, James says,

"Our fearless leader is right, we are interested in helping with the mine, and also in getting paid."

Hifu comes up to Kravec in a deferential way - “Please, Kravec sir, where would you like us to wait while you prepare our orders for us?   I’m sure that we will make short work of those kobolds with you leading the way...”. Hifu turns back around and winks at Gilgin.  (Hifu trying to play the part of wingman).  Hifu then turns to talk to, distract anyone else that may be coming up to talk to Mashtew or his goliath guard, to keep the attention on our group and more specifically, Kravec.

Nyx peeks her head out of the kitchen door, sees the guys trying to chat up Venea, chuckles to herself and gets back into kitchen.

As you approach Oarus, he gestures you to a free seat next to him.  The goliath woman is watching you carefully. But isn’t talking with you. It does seam like she perceives Kravek as the biggest threat at the moment.

„Relax Venea, those men are here to help us.“ Oarus tries to calm down his friend, but you can hardly see any change in her protective attitude.
„Have a seat my friends. Yes, there is payment of course. Once the mine can be operated again, you will get 50 gold plus an additional 10 per person, so that will make a total of... 90 gold, correct?“

(I assume Nyx went back to the kitchen to finish her shift for the moment.) 

(Yes, Nyx is still in the kitchen)

As Venea does not speak back to Kravek Well perhaps some othe..  He is interrupted by Oarus 

Venea.. he says repeating Oarus with a smile as he looks at Venea. Happy he got something out of his 'talk'. He then ackwardly moves past Venea to sit down with Oarus. 

Ah yes that would be sufficient payment. But we are 5 in total, our friend Nyx will be joining us as well. We have some numbers on our side. he boasts looking up to Venea to see if it sparks a reaction.

Could you provide us with the location of this mine? And are there any outposts on our route, friendly or not, that we need to know about?

He looks around at the others to see if he forgot any questions. 

„The mine is easy to find, you just follow the treeline north of the village eastward. It will curve northeast after some time and you keep following the trees. There will be a big gap between the trees, where a trail goes into the forrest towards the mine. We keep the trail as clear as possible and marked with tall poles, so if you go during twilight you can not miss it. The whole travel takes maybe 30 minutes.“

Hifu asks "Any idea where the kobolds may have come from, Mr. Mashtew?  Has this ever happened before?"  To the others, "If it is only 30 minutes away, the sooner done the better."

Kravek Nods at Hifu, before looking to Kravek “Aye, um.. mighty leader Kravek, should we get the littlun’ from the kitchen? Sorry Mr speaker, we’re takin’ the kitchen porter so if ye wanna eat you’d better order quick before they run outta clean plates.”  

“I’ve seen my fair share of mines, and lost good men, good friends in ‘em. If you dug too deep, and we’ve got more than just Kobolds on our hands, knowing could be the difference between life and death”

James takes a seat, listening to Speaker Mashtew and the others.

James nods agreement with Hifu's suggestion that the group head out soon, and adds his own question to the Speaker.

"I don't suppose you could provide us with a basic map of the mine, the layout as it is, in its current state?"

"Also what else can you tell us about the kobold attack, where they appeared from, who they attacked, how many were seen, that kind of thing?"

„The mine itself is not very deep or large, but there is a bottomless pit in the middle of it. But to my knowledge nothing ever came out of there. For sure nothing during my lifetime. Legend has it that Drizzt Do‘Urdent climbed out of the Underdark through that pit, but if you ask me that is just wishful boasting by old miners who want to give more glory to their mine. As for the Kobolds, i have red reports from other villages, that kobolds try to sneak inside and try to hide in abandoned houses. But we are lucky and so far Termalaine only suffered a few losses.“

“Bottomless ye say? Ha, well I’ve heard that story told about many mines, turned out the be a wee hole. We still said our prayers over it though. Still, it might be worth talkin’ to a miner before we head off - they’ll know the place best.”

To Gilgin “ Any other equipment that you can think of that we need going into that mine?  We have some torches and rope.”  Is there a miner we can speak with who has knowledge of the mines or saw the kobolds?  I say let’s move and go there within the next hour.

Responding to Gilgin, Yes we should get Nyx, we will inform her of what we hear but she should be here. 

Assuming Kravek has gotten an idea of the weather. We should leave soon then, perhaps we can get to the mine before darkness covers the land. It would be dangerous travelling then and we would have to wait till morning. 

Nyx walks out of the kitchen, no longer wearing the apron and approaches the group.

"That's my shift done for today. What's the job?"

“Hmph, a climbing kit and a crowbar would serve us well - maybe a pickaxe if we want to get some sweet ore while we are down there.” Gilgin scratches his beard in thought before letting out a belch. He smiles as Nyx comes in. “We gotta clear some kobolds out of a mine, think we’re heading out soon unless we need te get some supplies or find a miner to get some info out of.... um, fearsome leader Kravek - what would you have us do.” Kravek remembers the Goliath woman is still in earshot

Nyx says, "I've got some of that stuff. Might be super tiny for Kravek to use, but it's servicable."

Yes, seems Nyx has some supplies to climb. All we are missing is a pickaxe, but im sure a mine will have some around if we need it. 

He looks around. My crew is prepared for any adventure, unless we can have a word with a miner we are ready to depart.
