Gilgin smiles, ”The Attic will be grand, I’ve slept in far worse.”
“This Moose though, if it’s acting in he way you say it is, might be more than a dumb moose. There’d be no shame in it having got the better of ye so far.” Gilgin reassures the speaker. He turns to his friends ”Well, I don’t need weapons to fight, if you need to use me as bait. And I can detect if there’s anything odd about this moose. If we can’t catch it, at least we can let the Soeaker know what we’re dealing with. Though.... I’m not the best tracker, last time I was in the woods I got lost.” He scratches his head sheepishly
Hifu smiles and says “I have a great idea Gilgin! We can dress you up as a logger and send you out like you are going to work, a typical day logging. We will hide and swoop in! It will be just like the brain thingy with tentacles all over again! I have a new nickname for you.” He pauses and looks around, smiles broadly and says “Bait. Your new name is “Bait.” What do you think?” He looks at you and winks and ribs you with his elbow.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
“Don’t worry, me and the little ones will take care of them, no need to worry about the food either. If you look into our moose problem, that’s the least we can do.”
Gilgin tugs at his beard, sulking and muttering, “Oh bait... . Knew I should have paid more attention fishing....”
He enjoys the hospitality and the halfling cuisine, gorging himself on cakes. When suitably full and lethargic he will stumble up to the attic and pass out between a couple of crates.
Hifu falls asleep upstairs and dreams of furry dwarves, a big white moose, and a ghost..... He awakens with a start in the middle of the night, but able to fall back after getting up to drain the dragon. "Blasted dragon sized prostate. Getting older sucks." He falls back asleep and dreams of moving super swift until the morning.

James enjoys the hospitality, mostly remaining quiet and just soaking in the ambiance and homeliness.
Occasionally James looks over to an empty spot and smiles or nods, while he enjoys the company.
When some of the others head upstairs to retire for the night, James joins them.
Before he sets in for the night, James goes through his equipment, making sure everything is in order and accounted for and finishes up by sharpening his greatsword.
Once everything is ready for tomorrow, James gets comfortable and turns in for the night.
Three little halfling children are running and jumping from mattress to mattress and wake everyone. They seam to be especially interested in Nyxs attention. From downstairs you smell beacon and freshly baked goods.
(I had a look at potions and prices, a healing potion is 50 gold. If you want to buy one. )
“By the hammer of Dumathoin! You little..... I nearly whacked you a goodun there!” Gilgin grumbles at the children’s intrusion, his face red. He makes his way downstairs, clutching his head and hoping the bacon will put him right.
Hifu wanted to talk Giles into giving us a couple of healing potions, wanted to try flattery on him, calling him the best potion maker in Ten Towns, convince him that we are helping the whole town by taking care of the Moose, etc. 50 gp is too rich for my dragonborn blood....

After eating, and while Hifu goes to haggle for potions, Gilgin will ask around about finding any powdered silver or Iron holy water, or scrap silver or Iron he can get a hold of.
The oldest of the speakers children, her name is Lily, helps you with your shoping. There are no magic or religious supplies available here, but silver coins and iron is readily available. So you end up buying a hunting trap for James and a metal file for Gilgin who then pays the kids a silver coin each to file his silver into dust.
(i assume you look for 25gc worth of silver dust, just mark of 5 silver for the iron file and the help from the kids and 25 gold that you exchange for silver)
Gilgin’s pouch feels a lot lighter after his purchase, but he expresses to James that at least he’s happy to help their economy somewhat. He says his morning prayers in the cabin with the dogs before meeting up with the rest of the gang to head out.
Hifu says to Gilgin "Maybe since we cannot afford a potion of healing, I should play the "bait" this time my friend, we may need you for your healing abilities, and if you are getting hurt by this Moose we will have no one to heal you. I can move fast now and I know logging. Let me be the one this time. When should we go? I would like to have Boga with us to perhaps help with tracking." He turns to Nimsey - "Any other suggestions for us? We want to hunt this Moose today and hopefully put an end to your problem."

Hifu thanks you for the blessing, holds out his Warhammer. "Let's get everyone rounded up and get ready to go. Is that lump Kravek still upstairs sleeping? His snoring shook the roof! Time is wasting, let's see if Giles is ready as well and go Moose hunting."

James shakes his head, a smile on his face.
"Are you sure you want to start doing this more? You know eventually bait gets eaten if you keep using it."
"Either way, I think I will leave the dogs in the barn. While they may be able to track and fight, it is not their training."
"If I only take one, it is likely to get anxious without its pack mates and if I bring more, they are likely to just start running and not stop."
"It's what they have been both bred and trained for. And I don't want to put them in extra danger, if I don't have to."
James asks Speaker Huddle,
"Speaker, could I ask a favour of you? If we take longer than a day to track and slay the beast, could you look in on my dogs?"
"I can leave some of their food with you, so you can feed them, if you are willing."
"If not, I will have to come back to town before night, if we don't find the animal in one day."

James wakes with a smile, watching as Nyx begins playing with the children using her magic.
James follows everyone down and enjoys his breakfast before heading out to check on his dogs one more time before the team heads out.
Once the dogs are seen to, James heads to the local general store and tries to see if he can purchase a hunting trap, in case it might be of use.
