(who else can see this unfolding and if so, how far are we/they?)

Hifu is 30 ft from the bull, and the group is 30 ft from Hifu. Over 30ft distance is half cover, over 60 is 3/4 and over 100 is full. Snow makes it hard to move except for Winenose who is light enough to walk with her snowshoes on it without getting stuck in it ( Difficult Terraine ). So you do see the moose, but barely. 

Correction, because of the dim light only those in main group with dark vision can see the moose. Those without, see something big.

Hifu freezes and hides behind a tree, standing very, very still.  

Sneak :  15

Gilgin whispers to the others, “Allrighty, lets try and surround this biggun ‘ere. I’ll stay here if yous lot make a circle around it, staying just as far away. Use yer whole mind thingy if we need to talk.”

Gilgin tries to stay very still in his chainmail.

"Is it our target? I cant really see a thing from here."

Gilgin, Nyx, Hifu you would see that it is a majestic but brown colored beast.

Gilgin squints at the moose, “hmm, lets see.....It’s big, but it’s brown. No chance that the loggers got the colour wrong?”

“One or two maybe, but for all of them to remember or see wrong, it would require magic. If that one is brown, then it isn’t the one we are looking for, just an ordinary one.”

Boga takes a metal wire from his coat and whispers: “Hifu, Gilgin said that is a brown one, that means it isn’t the one we are looking for. Don’t look it in the eyes, lower your head and slowly back away if you don’t want to provoke it.”***

Hifu, you hear Bogas voice as clearly as if he were next to you. Roll an animal handling with advantage if you want to avoid conflict.

Kravek will have kept a distance since he is to large to hide from sight. As the others tried to get close enough Kravek will have worked on trying to make some camouflage by getting some foliage/branches and using the rope he has with them to strap it to his shield creating a moving camouflage wall. 

The foilage will be on his shield and hang down from it to cover his legs. When he is done and ready to get closer he notices the others have already spotted that its a brown one. 

A bit of disappointment is visible on Kravek's face as he lowers his shield again. Heeding Boga's words Kravek will not go closer but will wait for the others to pass him before backing himself, not wanting to leave someone behind. 

I like the camouflage, Kravek you can roll stealth checks to hide normal while we are in the forrest. Stealth while moveing is still at disadvantage though. 

Hifu follows Boga’s advice to back away from the moose, keeping head down and eyes averted.  He remains quiet and moves in a non threatening manner

Anomal handling :  22

Watching Hifu retreat, Gilgin turns to Boga, “So pal, did yer pup have any luck. You got that whole eyes goin’ white and you see through the pup thing that Wizards do right?”

“That only works when he is close, but he does, know white and brown, so i will just ask him,...” and with a puff the fox appears between you. Boga and the arctic fox look at each other before Boga shakes his head: “ The other one was a bust as well.” Boga looks up at the moon in the sky: “We got another 4 or 5 hours before the moon and twilight is gone. We give it another shot?”

Hifu you carefully move away from the moose. Once it realises that you are no thread it turn as well and moves away from you.

”Ha, I’m not one for giving up! Let’s go pals.” He blesses Hifu with another [spell] guidance before checking for tracks himself, this time being sure to look for bigger ones than he’d seen previously. 14 survival

James turns to see Kravek approaching the group with his newly camouflaged shield.

"Nice, great idea!"

As Hifu returns and Boga calls his fox back, confirming another failure at that end, James nods agreement with Gilgin.

"Yeah, lets keep going. No point in giving up just yet."

James joins in the search for tracks, as the group continues on.

Hifu breathes a sigh of relief as he makes it back to his companions and the moose moves on.  "Right, that's not the one.  You came up empty as well Boga?  Let's see if there are any other tracks that we can follow."  He starts searching in a different direction.  

Survival :  10

Boga and Feneck survival check: 19 

 After your initial success, you spend two hour without finding anything. Suddenly Feneck and Hifu stop alarmed, they heard  something in the distance. Those without darkvision only see Bogas magical light being reflected by pairs of eyes in the distance, but Gilgin and Nyx can see several wolfs between the trees. They followed your tracks and start to encircle you.

(same as with the moose, difficult Terrain for all medium creatures, no cover up to 20ft, 1/2 up to 60ft and 3/4 till 100; full cover after that. dim light.)

"What is that?  Do you see what I'm seeing?"  Hifu takes up a defensive stance, and readies his javelin.  "They are encircling us, I'm not sure we are going to get out of this without a fight..."

Nyx says, "Wolves..."

“Yep, Wolves. And remember my plan to circle that moose? Well, they must’ve overheard and stolen it from me. These sneaky pooches are gonna get what’s coming to them!” Gilgin scowls as he readies his shield. ”Back te back pals! For the visually impaired, stay close to someone with good eyes.”
