Kree, taking a seat at the bar will hold a hand up to the bartender as if to signal no more ale for him. (Having probably already spoken to the townspesker, he'd decline to speak to him further.) Kree, after giving an acknowledging nod, tipping his hat forward, will say. "It's a pleasure, but as I'm sure you understand, my business is my own." Declining to speak further on the subject as these folk are still strangers to him. He continues, "Speaking of business, I couldn't help but notice you want to talk with the townspeaker. Could I ask what it pertains to?"
Hifu butts in, speaking to the group and looking at James. "Why we are going to try to find Keegan. We heard that he was lost, one of his sled dogs came running back into town. We wanted to know if the Speaker had any information for us, or any other jobs in the area. Isn't that right James?" Hifu looks his way, with a wide grin.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Huh, missing person you say?"Kree will say looking at Hifu, he then looks down to the bar and thinks to himself. Huh, could be connected. He says stroking his beard, he then turns back to Hifu. "Sounds like your business and my business might be connected. Mind if I tag along?" Kree asks.
"Indeed, lets stick to gathering information tonight. If we gather enough, we might be able to start making plans, but we will see about rescuing Keegan first."
James smile at Hifu, but it doest reach his eye.
"Yes, information is all I'm after, for now."
James responds to Kree.
"Cant say no to another able body. With this cursed winter, travelling in groups is always going to be a safer bet. And if you help us with our current job, maybe we can help you with yours."
“Thought yer business was yer own? Now ye wanna buddy up?” Gilgin barely looks up as he gurgles through his beer before slamming it down with a belch as he turns to Kree, pointing a stubby, grubby finger in his face. “You’re a tricksy one you are. Yeah it’s safer together... from Outside threats. What’s to stop you from slitting our throats in our sleep, or worse! You may have worked your seductive magic over these two, but ye won’t get me laddy. If ye want to come with us, yer telling us why you wanna climb that mountain.” Gilgins stares down their new companion, his crazed eyes steeled over as the deep laugh lines on his face morph into terrifying gorges.
The two drunken take their leftover coins and leave. One of them is clearly upset, but his friend is able to convince him, that there is no proof and no point of starting a fight, especially with the captain around.
Hifu considers Gilgin and his words, then turns to Kree. "While James is correct, there is strength in numbers, I do want to know who I am traveling with. If we do travel together. While you say "my business is my own", that... isn't quite good enough. I do not wish to have my throat slit in the middle of the night either. We have journeyed here from Lonelywood, my home town. We are heading to Bryn Shander, but we have accepted a task of finding Keegan, who was leading a group of adventurers to Kelvin's Cairn. So that is what we are doing. Can you shed some light on your "business?" Otherwise, we may not be able to travel together.... and that would be a shame."
Hifu insight on Kree ("good" guy? Alignment? Will he cut my throat?) : 20
He seams to be a very charismatic and hard to read person and you get the feeling there is more to him then meets the eye, but he also seams to be an honest person and you don’t get any bloodthirsty or backstabbing vibes from him.
(I apologize. Entire family, including me, got sick with the flu) Kree takes a moment to ponder the request. "Well, if you must know..." He pauses a moment then continues. "I met someone a week or so back in Bryn Shander who hired me to track down a Torga Icevein. Apparently they are suspected in a couple murders around Ten-Towns. I need to figure out where this person is, and ascertain guilt. So to answer your question, I will not slit your throat unless you give me a reason not to."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Insight 10 to see any tells of if Kree is lying explicitly.
”Let’s be clear. I don’t care what yer up to. I don’t care where yer from. I don’t care if ye eat babies under a crimson moon.” Gilgin grasps his skull, yowling “Get out of me head! There’s so many of you’s in here!”he shakes his head, clutching Krees arm and grabbing him close“What’s yer full name brother? Gimme it, and maybe you’ll be blessed to come along with me and me pals.”
Kree looks at Hilton, weirdly. "Names Kree... Just Kree, I wasn't blessed with any other names. One thing about me is I never lie. I might not tell everything, but I never lie. I pride myself on it."
“I served my time! You’re not taking me back!” Gilgin screams at Kree before turning to the others “Don’t tell him yer full name pals.”
Gilgin sits back down, calming himself, speaking carefully. “If you wan’t to follow us, there’s nothing stopping you, just leave my friends out of yer song and dance. None of us are making any promises here, and no deals ye get me?”
Kree nods. "I wouldn't expect ya to trust a stranger, and vice versa. I'll let you finish up here and I'll see you in the morning." Kree tips his hat and heads to his sleeping area to sleep for the night.
Beside a drunken and loud dwarf the rest of the evening passes uneventfully. One by one you settle down for the night, although Gilgin needs a little help finding the room you share.
During the night you can hear the wind howling outside and small creatures, hopefully just rats, climbing between the walls. It is dry though and while you wouldn’t describe it as warm, you don’t freeze. Without dawn or a moon, it is hard to say what time it is, but once you’ve rested enough, you get up and get ready to move out. Kree is already downstairs, paying his tab (2 gold) while Oween tells everyone else, that Gareth took care of your room and provisions for the night.
(I assume you will collect your dogs and then leave on the Eastway?)
James' eyes dart to Kree at the mention of murder and tracking down the possible killer, but he remains quiet, as Gilgin continues his half-drunken, half-rant. When Gilgin grabs his head and cries out about too many voices, a strange look comes over James and he withdraws from the conversation even more, tending to his drink, a far away look in his eyes.
The next morning, James looks full of energy and ready to move out, heading to collect his dogs and sled, when the group is ready, before leaving town to track down the lost guide.
Hifu comes down and says "Good morning" to everyone, "Morning Kree. Are you ready? Thank you for covering our room! Let's head out." He follows James out to the sled.
((OOC : where is Boy? We need him with us.))
