“She instructed us to bring you straight to her and yes there is a guestroom set aside for you in the north east watch tower for later.” He leads you up the stairs and to the left, where a Tiefling stands guard at a door. “Those are the ones she wants to see...” your guide whispers to the other guard before gesturing you to quietly follow him inside. Inside there is a coridor with two doors halfway down, one left and one right. He gently knocks on the right one.
You are not exactly sure, but you got the feeling that the coat of arms represents Caer Dinival. You did not see it in connection with your fishing trip before.
The lad throws you and offended look, but before he can say anything a voice can be heard from the other side. The guard opens the door and bows to whoever is inside, before he let’s you in. “They are here, the ones who fight the Duergar.”
A chilly draft wafts through this bedroom despite a roaring fire in the hearth. Bundled under a thick quilt and seated in a squat rocking chair in front of the fire is a venerable dwarf with a wooden peg where her right foot should be. her long white hair hangs in a braid over her shoulder. Next to her, on a small table, is a plate of food. “Come in, i’ve been dreading this moment,” she says.
HIfu steps forward and makes introductions all around. "My name is Hifu and this is Kree, Gilgin, James and Nyx. We travelled here from Lonelywood, then to Targos. We found the pack dog of a mountain guide leader named Keegan who was apparently lost on an expedition to Kelvin's cairn and we travelled here to try to find him. We entered your town and tried to rest in the old inn, but we were attacked by Duergar there. They made a hole in the back of the inn, busted through the wall and escaped and now we don't know where they are. I suppose that you know of us somehow? Can you tell us what you know, what you have seen about the Duergar and about Keegan?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the guard sees the group in Gilgin mutters as an aside to James, “Don’t take no soothsayer to know that Duergar are gonna fight....” before seeing the soothsayer herself. Suddenly, his grin deflates, a stoic gaze upon his face. He straightens his back and bows his head, staying behind his friends, hoping he goes unnoticed.
Kree, at the risk of coming off as an *******, does not bow, as he is not one to bow to those he does not hold allegiance to. Instead, Kree stays back and waits to see what the soothsayer has to say. Questions run through his mind as he waits, questions such as; Why would someone want to kill these people? Can I trust this group I'm currently with? When can I show my true self... IF I can show my true self?
Once your eyes get used to the dim light from the fire and the candle in the room, you notice that the female dwarfs skin looks rather pale, she takes a heavy breath before she starts to speak: “ Stop japing and listen. I do not have much time left. Lad, go and wake Kadroth.” The young guard looks uncomfortable back and forth between the old lady and the door on the other side of the corridor. “Stop your bloody dance and go.” She then turns he4 attention to you, not even waiting for the guard to get moving (wich he does). “Yes i can glimpse the future and no i do not know everything. What i do know is that Ten Towns will burn in the darkness before it gets the chance to starve if you do not stop the Duergar.” You notice that she has to fight for breath. “The ones you met were only a small group. There is a fortress in the Spine of the World and within that fortress an ancient dragon heart is used to forge a massiv weapon as we speak.” She gets more and more quiet as she speaks: “The guards are to weak to stop them, as are you right now. But i saw that you could become strong enough to stop the calamity.” If you try to help her, she will just weakly wave you away, to stop waste time and let her finish her piece: “But beside strength, you will also need speed. I saw the weapon raining destruction on the villages from the scy. No i do not know where exactly it is, but if you find the son, you may be able to convince him to sha...” Her head slumps on her chest and she is silent.
From next door you hear the muffled angry voice of a man, who didn’t like to be woken in the middle of the night. Considering the thickness of the walls and doors, he must be quite loud to be heard.
Nyx doesn't move, but instead squeezes tight the crystal (in her pouch, not taking it out) they found few days ago. She tries to use telepathy to continue the conversation, "The son of whom? Please continue".
Hifu says "Quick, Gilgin, she's passed out. Can you check her, arouse her with your healing?" Hifu steps to the door, "Come quick, the soothsayer passed out!"

“What is going on here?” An older looking Tiefling appears behind you in the door, he is wearing a green fur lined coat against the cold.
“Who are you and what are you doing here in my castle?”
Kree, when you try to check her pulse, your skin freezes to her stiff ice cold skin , you take 1 point of cold damage as you pull back you hand and look at the red blisters you got from the frozen body.

Gilgin turns to the Tiefling, taken aback. “Guessing you’re the speaker then? I can smell the entitlement from here. Your guards invited us in, said we were expected then yer Soothsayer told ‘em to wake you. Then all of a sudden we didn’t feel so welcome no more.” he sighs, looking the Tiefling up and down, awaiting an apology. “Ask her yerself if you like.” He looks over to the Soothsayer and mutters in Dwarvish.

Does she have any heart problems?"

Kree nods and continues to ask the guard. "Are we going to be able to sleep somewhere?"

"No problem" Hifu whispers. "Is the soothsayer awake? Should we bed down for the rest of the night and meet with her in the morning?"

Gilgin pantomimes a shushing motion at everyone, before drawing his attention to the coat of arms. He taps Nyx on the shoulder and points.

James' eyes go wide as the old dwarf falls silent and still.
"Did...did she just die?"
James looks to an empty corner of the room with a questioning look on his face, but turns back a moment later, still concerned.
