Lyss pulls out a ball bearing and tosses it back and forth, rolling it across her knuckles. If none of the grown folks tell her not to, she'll toss it into the room, trying to hit the painted path.

Cico looks from Lyss and her ball bearing over to Aimee. He was starting to feel more comfortable with those two. The brothers and Kerri had done nothing to make him feel uncomfortable. It was just the usual struggle to understand the emotions that drive adults. Lyss and Cico were easier to understand.
"I did not see anything when I looked in there before," Cico says. "If you look, do so from the doorway."
He turns back to Lyss and nods at here and indicates she should throw the ball bearing.
Aimee watches to see if the ballbearing does something before going to the explosive room and looking for writing on wall. She'll stay outside, for now.
The ball bearing pings as it rolls harmlessly across the floor seemingly triggering nothing as it rolls over both the yellow and non yellow sections of floor.
The room with the potions has only a few sections of wall visible, as most of the wallspace is taken up with shelves holding vials of various liquids.
As Edvord finishes his ritual, he senses illusion, and necromancy magic coming off of the painted walls of the room
Edvord calls out, "I am seeing something strange along the walls. The floor itself should not be magical, but just to make sure..."
Edvord reaches out with his mind and asks Verklarung to begin racing back and forth across the floor. The mage mutters to himself, "Hope this does not hurt too much friend."
Verklarung scuttles along the floor. As they step off of the yellow path a purple glow basques across the room. It seems to come from the painting on the wall, specifically the wizards in the back of the scene. They clutch glowing symbols, familiar to Kerri especially as that of Mystra.
(Verklarung is Edvords familiar, a mouse atm if I remember correctly)
Verklarung’s little beady eyes dart around, and it braces itself seemingly staring at some invisible terrors. The brave little mouse steels itself, planting itself firmly.
Almost in response, the figures in the paintings begin shifting, undead crawling out of their caskets and tearing the priests limb from limb. As the scene shifts from peace to brutality, a magic mouth appears in the ceiling mocking “Mystra can what Helm cannot.”
In the chaos it seems that two of the mages have approached the forefront of the scene, they reach out, their hands penetrating into the third dimension ghostly and tranclucent.
Cico watches the ghostly mage arms reach out into the room, waiting to see if the wizards actually exit the painting or not before deciding what to do next. All the while he repetitively counts the fingers on his right hand with his thumb, the pad of this thumb tapping the pad of each finger one at a time before starting over.
"We should either let this illusion play out... or bombard the painting with arcane energy. The depiction and words hint that typical divine magic will be ineffective."
Verklarung's beady red eyes go wide in terror as he scrambles back to the party.
"Helm's the guardian, the watcher... Tends to be a favored of the paladin types that are always "thou shalt not speak to the lady, for chastity is key to virtuous loneliness" or "thou shalt not gamble your family's home on this sure-thing hand of cards for gambling is the devil's tooth" or some such poppycock. To think of it, Eddie, you might be a fan."
Aldrik pauses. "Oh, my point being that blades are more his thing too. And maybe punching things with gauntlets."
Cico scans the room, particularly the walls and ceiling for any signs of traps.
Perception: 9
"I agree with what Lyss suggests." Cico says.
"Give me a second to augment my eyesight. In many of these rooms the traps were visible... to those with the right skill set."
Edvord lays down his spell book and begins to ritually cast detect magic. He will relay to the party the magical auras he detects, if any.

Aimee watches with excitement before asking Cico,
"Did that room with the potions have anything written on the wall that you could see? Maybe someone should go check...!"
Cico looks from Lyss and her ball bearing over to Aimee. He was starting to feel more comfortable with those two. The brothers and Kerri had done nothing to make him feel uncomfortable. "But from the hallway. Do not go inside."
"Promise!"
Aimee watches to see if the ballbearing does something before going to the explosive room and looking for writing on wall. She'll stay outside, for now.
Lyss chucks the bearing!

"NOTHING ON THE WALLS EXCEPT POTIONS!"
Aimee yells to the others before walking back to them.
"So what we doing now? Cico going to backflip across?!"
She looks hopefully to Cico.

Cico watches the ball bearing bounce across the floor without mishap but notices the sentient sword draws attention.
"Staying to the path might be wiser," Cico says to Aimee.
But before he enters the room, Cico watches the sword carefully to see if the painting wizards glow has any actual effect.

"Run mousy, run!"
Aimee cheers.
She again notes the craftsmanship of the the traps in this place,
"They really spent some time and money making this place weird!"
