Edvord relays the information he sees through detect magic then turns to Aldrik, "The jump looks rather precarious. Perhaps you should go first. Let us tie the rope around you, then you can jump to the first disc, tie the rope around the chain, and a few of us can follow. It will take time, but it should be safe."
To Cico, Edvord adds, "Do you mind giving me a hand securing the other end of the rope. I unfortunately do not trust my strength. Perhaps there is something in your martial training that could be of use in this situation."
"Have some faith! With you all holding the rope, I've no fear, for I can trust you."
Aldrik nods at Kerri, then turns to regard the jumps. He centers his focus, desiring to prove himself for his brother, and with his friends holding the rope tied around his waist, takes his stride and attempts to leap across the discs to grab the blade and return.
Aldrik easily makes the first jump, gliding through the air to the centre of the disc. The landing is not quite as smooth, and the disc wobbles with a muffled crash as Aldrik finds his footing.
Edvord focuses in and notices multiple sources of conjuration within the smoke.
As Aldrik lands and prepares for his fifth jump, the sword almost in reach. Everyone notices 2 molts of smoke starting to rise up around him. Within the smoke, you can see faces, as the almost implike figures move in to attack Aldrik.
Initiative time 17
(whilst on the disc you have disadvantage on attacks as you focus on keeping balance.)
Swinging on the disc with a laugh, Aldrik shouts, "Now this is where the fun begins!" He releases ZJ to carve through the air and grabs a dagger as he holds onto the chain.
Cico looks out at the shapes rising in the smoke. Unless they come closer or Cico moves to get closer to them there's nothing he can do from the doorway.
He keeps himself ready to act if the creatures do come to the doorway. Otherwise, Cico just keeps a hand on the rope.

Cico looks at the rope and then over at Aldrik and back to Edvord.
“We are trained not too lift something too heavy to lift.” Cico says then back to Aldrik he adds “It would be better if you did not fall.”
Cico then indicates to the others that they should all hold part of the end of the rope as well.
"How about we give up on this plan that will probably get people killed? Is one sword really worth it?"
