Cico looks at Rishaal and then back to Aimee and Lyss trying to make sense of this.

"The mages would be more upset that someone used magic to free a trapped unicorn than they would be in that person keeping such an intelligent creature imprisoned?"

His fingers rub against themselves quickly as he tries to puzzle through that.

"We should return to the Trollskull and discuss what we do next," Cico says. He then nods to Rishaal and leaves the shop, heading back across the street to the likely still smoking Trollskull 

Aimee ponders Cico's question then nods,

"Based on what I know about them, ya! They made a beautiful bureaucracy around magic, and like any good bureaucracy the reasons don't matter so much as the processes! Save a house from burning down but are unregistered? Big trouble! Burn down a house but are registered? Still big trouble but not with them! Or maybe? I haven't read ALL the rules yet!"

Aimee waves to Risha, heads to get some pastries and then goes back to the planning meeting with Cico. She hands him a sugared tart then calls,

"Lif! You still here? You speak with the ghosts of those fellas that ruined our windows?"

Kerri carefully puts the necklace in her pocket and goes to rejoin the others after making sure the boy is safe. "Is everyone alright?"

"Pastries, then to the manor!"

When Aimee calls out to Lif, Lyss has a thought. 

<Hey Lif! When I talk to you in my head, can you hear me? Can you talk back?>

 Before leaving Rishaal's shop, Edvord makes note whether arcane scrolls can be purchased from their establishment.

In response to Kerri's question, "Looks like the fatalities were taken care of by the watch... only the living left here, Lif nonwithstanding."

"We should finish drawing up our order of errands for this morning. Of the utmost importance is deciding whether we plan to uphold certain commitments made to the old wolf... I have strong feelings about double crossing such figures, but it is your hides and tavern. Not mine."

Cico looks at Edvord when he mentions double crossing an old wolf.

"There was no arrangement with Mirt to retrieve Primara," Cico says. "His assistant asked us to look."

Cico pauses for a moment, reaching out his mind to Primara.

<Are you still with us?> Cico think-asks. <We do not have a way to release you yet but we will find one.>

He then looks back to the others.

"Regardless, I will not return Primara to Mirt. She is not his," Cico says. After another pause he continues. "It is possible he did not know and he would aid in her release if he did. I would agree to tell him we found her but would not turn her over to him."

"Do we think the assistant is on the level? Maybe they're an evil mage pretending to be an assistant, and they had something to do with it!"

Edvord responds to Cico, "While I understand your hesitation to turn over a living entity to an old man, but have you considered that the statue itself may be the one 'not on the level..?'" as the mage speaks he glances over towards Lyss, "Regardless, The Old Wolf has many eyes and ears throughout this town... If we are to go against his will we must tread carefully."

Edvord muses for a bit before continuing on a different subject, "What all have we learned concerning the Black Network's operations? Perhaps the information is of some value."

Lyss hears a bloodcurdling scream in her head back from Lyss. "MY WINDOWS! DEATH AND SUFFERING TO WHOEVER DID THIS!!!!!!!!"

Cico hears back from Primara "Many thanks my hero. I shall owe you a great reward for your compassion"

Lyss's eyes go wide.

<Hi Lif! Sorry about the windows, we were trying to figure out who did it, but the Watch came by. We'll get them fixed!>

((Pastries, back to the manor to assess damage and add to the list on the board, calm Lif down, see about boarding up the windows if there's no way to fix them, then get to checking things off the list! Lyss, having just been admonished by Rishaal, would want to get certified now that she can do magic!))

Aimee is good to tag along on whatever,  she's got and open schedule.

Cico looks back at Edvord, and nods his head. What was it that lead him to believe a voice only he has heard? Perhaps because Mirt's man made no mention of anything either way? But, is 'my hero' something a unicorn would actually say?

Cico Insight on Primara's voice - trustworthy?: 13  

"So... our street was just blown up and we're going to act like it didnt happen?"

"I'm never not in the mood for pastries! If we try to poke around and figure stuff out again, ol' Fartblast will swoop in and say it's evidence that we're up to something. We gotta at least LOOK like we trust the Watch to put their boots on their right feet, and we figure it out quieter."

"And better!"

"Kerri is right. It seemed as if the Zhentarim were involved... and Mirt was asking after the Zhentarim. Might be worth quickly checking to see if the watch missed anything. Cico and Aimee, did you find anything of note besides the rags that were confiscated?"

"Curiosity is not a crime... well usually it is not. Worst case scenario, Aldrik and I have a contact in the watch..." The mage mutters under his breath, "not a very reliable contact though."

Cico looks around at the debris in the main room of Trollskull Manor when they all get back and begin discussing. He paces a little bit, looking from the debris to the broken window and back down at his own hands where he finally notices the sugared tart Aimee had placed there.

He pauses, looks directly at Edvord, counts quietly to 5 and then speaks.

"The footprint from the bomber on the roof, while foot shaped is too narrow to be made by a normal foot of any size," Cico says. "Slim. Almost featureless. Do such beings exist in Waterdeep?"

He turns, looking for Aldrik.

"Your witness needs to give better detail of what she saw."

Then he takes a large bite of the tart, chews ten times slowly before swallowing, and the looks for Aimee.

"Hlam may have knowledge of what is going on as well. We," Cico say, pausing after he says we, but decides not to elaborate, "we want to contain whatever is happening to Waterdeep. But that is hard to do if we don't know what is happening."

He pops the rest of the tart into his mouth, again chewing ten times before swallowing.

"Bustgas or the Watch guy called it something... Nimble Right?"

Aimee watches as Cico eats the hand sized tart in a single bit, very impressed. Her smile widens match!
