Cico gathers his few belongings and gets ready to head out with the others.
"As enthusiastic as these two are," Cico says, gesturing to Lyss and Aimee, "could we not just ask to speak to the driver's horse? The cost of that can't be more than the cost of a ride."
"Not sure," Kerri says. "But he said someone dropped it. And it doesnt exactly look like something a person would just intentionally leave behind somewhere."
Lyss's eyes go wide at the possibility, and she quickly looks around and cheerfully mind-greets the first bird, dog, cat, rat, mouse, horse or donkey she sees.

Edvord's eyebrows raise as he hears Aimee's voice in his head without seeing her lips moving, "Now there is an interesting surprise... was that something you could always do or that you picked up just yesterday?"
Turning to Lyss Edvord procures the oil of slipperiness he attempted to give to Kerri as part of the apology. "I already have the capability to cast a similar spell... but perhaps this could aid in the bedlam you plan to inflict."
Lif seems to be appeased by Lyss's assurance, you can hear knives being sharpened in the kitchen.
You all get a good look at the beads on Kerri's necklace, they swirl with fiery energy.
Kerri is able to lead you to a street nearby where the dray should stop shortly. Along the way, every animal you pass seems to act odd, cats bolt away, mules rear up. Every animal's eyes project pure fear.
Eventually, the carriage pulls up. A long vehicle with many glass windows. Benches line it's roof behind it's red haired driver, clutching the reigns to a horse with a violet flower behind her ear. A man almost identical to the driver, though slightly older and with softer features, hops off of the back of the dray. "All aboard, next stop is Market Square!"
Cico watches Lyss and Aimee for a moment. They're clearly talking to each other with their thoughts only. A good skill but he's sure it will also lead to untold amounts of trouble.
He makes sure Primara is secure in his pack, slips the pack onto his shoulders and once they're outside approaches the dray with the others.
Cico opens his mouth to say they want to talk to the horse, but Aimee's warning comes back to him, much like Master Treewhirl's warnings do. He close his mouth and lets the others speak.
Instead, he asks Primara a questions he should have asked earlier. <Primara, were you a unicorn before being trapped in the statue or were you something or someone else? It might help us find out how you got into this condition if I knew more about you. And if we find that out it might be easier to get you out.> Cico mind-thinks.
Edvord motions to the others, "No sense all of us paying for a ride... Cico and I could move rather fast, and Aldrik could probably also carry someone small on his warhorse. What if Aimee and Kerri go for a ride and ask their questions while the rest of us follow at range?"
Aldrik will indeed ride a slightly singed Mouse towards the meeting point, dismounting as they wait. Noticing every other animal seeming unsettled, he will gently stroke Mouse's mane (and unintentionally ritualistically cast Speak with Animals). Thinking on his training with the Horsemaster, Aldrik will ask his horse if he can feel what the other animals feel, and what it might be, though he does not expect an answer, more just general horse neighs and whinnies.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aimee clarifies for everyone in the group,
"I can talk in people's minds but I don't hear what they think back, which is sad! Except Lyss, she can do it now too! I'll warm her up, the horse, and it can mind talk back to Lyss!"
Aimee smiles at the older man and driver, and most especially, the horse.
"Hi! Can I pet your horse first! She's so pretty!"
Before waiting she heads to the horse and mind says,
<Hi, I'm Aimee! Mirt sent me and my friends to find out what the Zhentarium have been doing so we can get a loan to fix our inn! I can't hear what you're thinking back so save it for my friend Lyss, she's great and loves that you can talk! Anyhow, act like a horse and don't let on but maybe walk real slow so you can tell us everything!"
She gently brushes her hand on the horse and says,
"Beautiful horse!"
Turning back to climb on board she gives the mind signal to Lyss and climbs on board saying, pleasantly, to both the driver and the older not driver,
"You know last time I was pulled anywhere by a horse the cart rolled over and killed my dad and little sister! Wheel fell right off and off the side we went! I got a branch stuck in my head here!"
She points to a spot her hair doesn't cover.
"Anyhow, can you maybe drive REALLY slow and carefully?"
Persuasion: 24
She sits and smiles out the carriage window, her job well done.
Morning montage of Lyss skipping in to some official looking place and telling the clerk that she's a magic girl now, and she needs to sign up so she can officially do magic without getting in trouble with the Watch... for doing magic. She's on good behavior while in there, signs her name as best she can, and keeps up a barrage of questions and running dialogue. She'll take her leave, explaining that it's been a busy morning already, and she's not had nearly enough pastries, some of them had glass in them, but they have lots of other errands to run, and that they still have repairs to make, but that the clerk should stop by Trollskull Tavern once they get it up and running, shouldn't be more than a week or so and they'll be open for business, and that they should tell their friends, and that she'll make sure they get a special deal on their first round, oh, and that gives her a good idea, that they should be handing out like cards, or tokens or something that are good for a drink or the like at the Tavern once it gets up and running again, build up business and interest for once they do! And anyway, it's been nice talking to them, and hope they have a good day!
The last half of that was via message as Lyss left the building, and was cut off somewhere as she left the range of the spell.
She'll tell the others her idea about giving out tokens to people they meet that are good for something at the Tavern once it's running, to help get their name out there.
Lyss popping into a shop to buy a sling and stones to be able to have her own set, so she can give her loaner back. She'll buy some extra stones to make up for the ones she spent.
((Returning sling and 36 sling bullets))
She also looks around for a bit of copper wire, a scrap of leather and a scrap of fleece. If she can't find any, she'll keep any eye out for some she can nick.
At the horse:
Lyss will scramble aboard and take Aimee's hand. "Yes, a calm ride sounds good!"
<Hello! I'm Lyss, I'm Aimee's friend! She's my best friend, she's great. I think a horse that can talk is pretty great too! Could you always talk? Have you always been a horse? As long as you answer after I talk in your head, I'll be the only one who can do it! Isn't that great! I can do magic now, just got made all official this morning!>

The conductor looks on perplexed as Aimee runs back and forth between him and the horse, leaving no chance for a reply. At Aimee's traumatic story he awkwardly shouts up to his brother. "Morgan... take it extra easy, we got a vulnerable passenger on board." he smiles back at Aimee and juts out his hand. "That'll be four nibs love. We'll get Maxeene to take it extra smooth for ya." (that's 4cp)
Unlike the other animals, Maxeene doesn't seem to spook at the psychic messages. She shakes her mane and keeps her eyes to the front. Lyss hears no message back. (Lyss being close can feel free to make an insight check)
