The crowd scatters, leaving a battered and bruised Arquette crumpled in the middle of the street. He rises to his feet, wiping the sweat from his brow before locking eyes with Aldrik. "I had that under control." He mutters. "RESPECT THE LAW! DISPERSE!" You hear coming from all around as the people clear away, bottlenecking into side streets. "See, I carry the voice of the law! You can still hear the echos" Arquette proudly announces.
The driver sighs, covering his nose as Kerri's shout disperses people from the front of the carriage. "Thanks, you saved us a long old wait there. It's like this every month, we usually just sit it out. This time it seems like the horses are getting gassy though, not sure I could sit in this stench much longer."
The conductor smirks at Aimee and Lyss. "That was a little naughty. I always thought you mages were all stuffy bookish types. That was a bit of a chuckle, still not sure what you did or who did what though. We should be able to carry onward now. I guess we owe you one."
Edvord and Cico don't see anyone going for the kids fortunately enough. While you didn't see them specifically doing anything, once the crowd has dispersed you can tell by the look in their eyes that they've been up to something.
The conductor breathes in sharply through gritted teeth. “Yeah… that’s not going to happen. In fact, when I said I owe you one.. that was more a figure of speech. I’ll give you a free ride now, and maybe in the future if we’re not too busy.” He flicks back the coin you gave him for the ride
"Oh, you've heard of the Book Wyrms? That's our other club we're in... club? Organization? Movement? Anyway, books are great! You can go all over the place without going anywhere!"
The coin vanishes in mid air, and Lyss gives him a wink before kicking back to enjoy the ride.

"Ah! But think how fast we could get places if Lyss was driving! How many would you have to owe us for that? Oh! We have an inn, you can come and relax there while Lyss drives! Read books and stuff!"
Edvord responds back to Cico while the pair walk after the carriage and Aldrik, "Fortunately it is not our place to police their habits... hopefully the commotion was just cover for them to retrieve what we were sent for and not mere tom-foolery."
"Ohh, yeah, we have to talk to Rishi about that, see if we can buy some books for people to read at our Tavern... OR maybe copy the first chapter or so, just enough to get them interested, then they can go buy the rest of it at his place when they go home!"

The Conductor seems slightly irked. "Not exactly familiar with your fancy book clubs, or your fancy magics. With respect, this carriage is our livelyhood. As much as we'd love a day off, I'm betting you ain't registered with the Stablemaster and Ferrier's guild. We'd lose our license in a heartbeat if we were to let you drive."
"Nope, not with the Stablemasters and Faeries, but that sounds important! I bet you're some of the best in that club, you've got the BEST HORSES! Maybe we can join that one too, more clubs the better!"
"Yep, Lif's great! He'd have really been able to clear the way for you, but he doesn't like to leave home... or maybe can't? Did we ask him Aimee, if he can leave the manor?"

"Nope, never asked him! He does seem pretty attached to the place! Oh, and I will join a club! Is it a book test to join? I am pretty good at book tests, especially if someone next to me knows the answers!"
She smiles sweetly at the driver.
"You should definitely come to the Troll's Skull Inn!"
She gets a slightly distant expression before snapping back and saying,
"OHHH Lyss, we should get another skull so we can call it the Trolls' Skull Tavern! You know to distinguish us from the last owner, Lif!"
The driver looks around, “well, usually my brother is on hand for this, but he must be dealing with some restless passengers. I appreciate the offer. Here, it’s alfalfa hay, good for digestion. I’ll slow us down a bit so you can keep pace.” He passes back a sack if hay as he pulls back on the reigns.
From the back of the bus, "Whoop! You tell 'em Kerri!"

"The LAW!"
Cico watches the chaos impassively, wondering how Arquette will report this to his superiors if it gets out of hand.

Aimee gives Lyss a high five and does a little dance before addressing the driver,
"Yep, you do! It'll be easy though! Maybe letting Lyss drive or something sometime!"

Cico sighs audibly, looks at the brothers and shakes his head before moving on with the now free carriage.
"The powers these two posses will not be easy to manage."
"echoes....choes... oes... oes..."
Lyss adds a final flourish to the Watchman's proclamation.
She returns Aimee's high five, and waves to her "Uncles" watching the carriage from farther down the street.

"They appear to be overstaying their welcome," Cico says.
"Lyss are you registered?"
She looks to her friend, to be sure before continuing,
"You should still come even if you don't let Lyss drive! We aren't that fancy, you should SEE our place! Our best, only, employee is dead!"
She offers encouragingly to the driver. She realizes a few seconds later that may not make sense and clarifies,
"LIVING dead! He's fine though, very goal focused!
