"I believe you are captured and are trapped as a unicorn statue, but I don't think we established if unicorn was your true form." Cico thinks to Primara. "The more we know about you the more we can help."
<I'm sorry, that was probably a lot. I'm Lyss, I think I said that, but Mister Mirt sent us to see if you have any information about the Zhentarim guys. Some of them might have tried to blow up out house this morning! OR they were chasing a gnome who was coming to our house, and something else blew them all up! I know you are different from other horses, cause the other ones I talked to this morning got all freaked out, but you're just playing it cool, cause I'm new and you don't know me yet. What can I do to let you know I'm a friend?">

Kerri doesn't give Aimee the necklace they know absolutely nothing about, falling back into her ways of "if something blows up I'd rather it be me then the children" mindset. Upon arriving at their destination and waiting for a while, Kerri lets everyone settle in before looking up at the sky. "The sun rises high today don't you think?" She asks outloud.
<Hey Kerri, the horse can definitely hear me, but it's not talking back to me in my head. Any suggestions? You can talk back, and only I can hear it, neat, huh?>

The dray departs with Kerri, Lyss and Aimee aboard. It’s fairly packed in on the lower deck but the roof has a few spots near the front, just behind the driver on his raised platform. As you make your psychic and verbal attempts at communication with the horse, you reach a crossroads and the driver briefly checks left and right for potential collisions.
The horse looks back at Kerri, their eyes meet knowingly glancing at Lyss carefully to see if there is any response from the halfling. As Morgan the driver turns his head, she quickly faces forward.
(Lyss can make a persuasion roll for that very well written psychic message.)
<It was, or at least I believe so. I have spent so long as a mere item to be traded. When I last had form the humans had great cities in the sky and elven empires still spread across the land below. I believe the magic they used on me was a combination of those cultures, it may be lost to time.>
Aldrik, Edvord and Cico tail the dray as Primara speaks to Cico’s mind. Planning on making any moves?
Lyss hears a message back in her mind in an incredibly blasé voice < So, Mirt DID send you. Seems like you can’t get the staff any more. I used to get carrots and sugar cubes when I gave my reports. And they were discreet at least. Get me alone with the robed lady and don’t make a scene ok.>
You feel a tap on the shoulder from the conductor. “Excuse me, some of the other passengers have expressed concern over you casting a spell over the front of the vehicle. I don’t know if you are aware, but there was an explosion earlier today so everybody is quite on edge. Could we try to be considerate towards the other passengers please?”
Meanwhile, the tailing team are approached from behind by a young City Watchman. His green and yellow robes jiggle around him, just a few sizes too large. He constantly adjusts his helmet as it slips down over his eyes. As he gets closer you notice his meagre attempt at a moustache surrounded by shaving cuts and pimples. “Well met.” his voice breaks, but he looks to you eagerly as he makes a salute. “ I’m officer Arquette, and I’ll be your personal surveillance. I just wanted to break the ice and get that awkward sneaky stage out of the way. Just think of me as your friend. After all, wouldn’t a true friend report you if you did a naughty crime. That way, you can learn from your mistakes. Remember, if they don’t rat you out they’re not your friend, they’re your enabler.”
"I AM official and allowed to cast magic.", She grumbles under her breath.
Lyss will crawl up to whisper in Kerri's ear when people stop looking at her as much, passing on what the horse said about carrots and sugar, and how to do from here.
Cico turns and looks at Arquette, looking the watchman up and down.
"We can not vouch for your safety," Cico finally says. "We will not cause you harm, but since we have been together some very unpleasant things have occurred. I just thought you should know."
He then turns his back on Arquette and ignores him.
Arquette pulls out his truncheon, spinning it in his hand. "I've been trained in hand to hand, crossbow and blunt weapons by the best the watch have. My fists are registered weapons. If anyone's keeping anyone safe it'll be me, don't you worry. If anyone's keeping anyone safe here it will be me. These streets aren't exactly your noble halls or peaceful elven glades." The truncheon slips out of his hand, bashing into his knee before he catches it. He tries to keep his smug smile going through the pain as he limps along behind you.
The dray ahead carries on along the high street, past the market many stalls have overspilled onto the street. Halflings selling sugared ice, cabbage farmers, and pushy trinket touts line the roads. Pedestrians swarm around the carts in the road, leaving the carriage to slow to an insufferable crawl. The passengers groan in unison, making their plea's to the conductor to do something about it.
Primaras voice returns, <Why do you keep asking me this? Do you not believe me?>

Cico frowns.
"I believe you are captured and are trapped as a unicorn statue, but I don't think we established if unicorn was your true form." Cico thinks to Primara. "The more we know about you the more we can help."
She smiles widely at the coach driver,
"Thank you Morgan and Maxeene! Maxenne? Did you name her? It's beautiful!"
To Lyss,
<Hey! What's she saying? Tell her she can work at the inn after!>

Aimee is enjoying her ride in the carriage, humming to herself a tune she heard in a seedy dock bar a few nights back.

Cico watches, one eyebrow rising
"Not elves live in glades," Cico says, then looking down at Arquette's knee he adds. "And that's not how to use a truncheon."
He turns away from the awkward yet still arrogant young guard to look at the brothers.
"Primara may be ancient, older than even the oldest elves and dragons alive today. It will not be easy to return her to her true form."
While he mulls this over, he watches the others on the carriage ahead, wondering how long it takes to talk to a horse.
