Voyage: You are able to escape the webs, but your blast of eldritch energy is blocked by Shoor’s shield. Unfortunately though, after casting that spell, you realize the webs have trapped you again!

(Will update with Cailean and NPC moves within the next hour or two.)

Just realized I need to roll concentration to see if Shoor can maintain his concentration after Voyage’s nat 20. (18) (He is able to maintain concentration.)

 Cailean will attempt to escape the webs. (Dex: 9) He is able to wrench himself from the webs, before once again casting produce flame at the nearest giant spider. (Attack: 20 Damage: 1) (It his the spider square in the chest and leaves a burning hole [-6hp])(Dex Save: 6)(But unfortunately, Cailean once again becomes stuck in the webs.)

Buppdio attempts to escape the webs as well. (Dex: 8) But is yet again unable to break free. 

Ront attempts to break free. (Strength: 12) (He rips his feet upwards and with a growl rushes towards the the giant spider.) (He takes a two handed strike using his longsword at the beast.) (Attack: 21 Damage: 9.) (Ront savagely tears into the spider with its purplish blood spurting everywhere [-12hp (Total: -18hp)]) (Strength Save: 15) And he is able to do so unhindered by the webs.

Derendil makes two claw attacks against the spider, tearing into its already destroyed flesh. (Attack: 15 Damage: 7) (Attack: 14 Damage: 4) (The second strike makes contact [-4hp (Total: -22hp)]) (Strength Save: 10) Unfortunately leaving him restrained and vulnerable to the spider. 

 Stool attempts to break free of the webs. (Dex: 18) And successfully does, afterwards scooped up by Shuushar who uses his entire movement to dash towards the edge of the webs. (Strength: 11) Despite carrying Stool, Shuushar is still somehow able to stay unrestrained by the webs. 

“Go!” You hear Eldeth yell. “You’ll have to get out of here without me. I’m not gonna be getting out of here anytime soon,” she says grimly. “Just... let my family know in Gauntlgrym.”

Jimjar attacks the giant spider twice with his shortsword. (Attack: 18 Damage: 6) (Attack: 6 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.) (The second one sinks into the spiders chest [-6hp (Total: -15hp)]) (Dex Save: 22) He is still unrestrained by the webs. 

Topsy and Turvy dash to go help Jimjar with the giant spider. (Dex Save: 5) Prepared to fight by wielding their daggers. 

 The giant spiders are up! 

The one on the left attacks Jimjar with its bite. (Attack: 12 Damage: 5) (Poison: 4) (Con Save: 2) (The spider savagely tears through his armor, leaving a large gash across his chest (-18hp) but he seems to still be standing. 

The spider on the right attempts to bite towards Ront. (Attack: 6 Damage: 11) (Poison: 6) (Con Save: 8) (You hear a grunt of pain as Ront drops to the webs unconscious. He is stable, but poisoned.) 

Shoor is up!

Shoor give a chuckle at the sound of Ront’s pain, before turning  to take a shot with his wand of viscid globs at Thodek (disadvantage). (Attack: 12) (Luckily, you are able to doge the sticky glob and continue running across the webs.)

 It now goes to the party. Thodek, Cailean, Svyis, Rian, and Nicholas are up! (Only Syvis is restrained.)

Nicholas sees the edge of the of the web and his heart lifts. We are almost out of here!

Then Eldeth's words reaches his ears and he stops cold. His mind drifts to his family and in particular his brother Ramsey. It had always been "What would Ramsey do?" and he had never quite lived up to it. "By the gods. I must me crazy," Nicholas swears to himself as he turns around and heads back. Ramsey wouldn't leave others behind and if he did, he would never be able to look his brother in the eye again.

As he heads back to help Eldeth, Nicholas sees that Syvis is also restrained. As she is closer to him, he first stops to help free her from the webs.

Syvis accepts the help and tries to free herself.

Dex: 23

Then, realizing they're in the middle of a Three Stooges routine, she uses her first moment of freedom to lend a reciprocal hand (taking the help action) and prays once more to Sehanine that she isn't making a mistake.

Thodek will move up to flank the spider north of him and take a swing with his hammer, “We have to keep going before the rest of them come down here!” 

Attack: 18 Damage: 6

Nicholas moves back to help Eldeth and Svyis, unfortunately becoming restrained in the webs once again (Advantage next round due to help).

Syvis is able to then escape, but then needs to help Nicholas escape his own bindings. 

Thodek rushes towards the giant spider on the left and smacks it with his Warhammer. It makes contact, but the spider still seems to be standing (-6hp [Total: -21hp]). 

Cailean attempts to break free from the webs.  (Dex: 9) before once again hurling a ball of flame towards the spider on the right. (produce flame)(Disadvantage).

Attack: 23 Damage: 8

Attack: 15

The spider gives one final shriek as the fire begins to consume it whole. The body twitches for a second or two before laying still (Dead). 

Rian is up!

(The spider on the right is dead?) 

Rian swerves around and head towards the giant spider on the left flank. As he Dashes towards it, he curses himself for not bringing some daggers to throw with.

End of Round Strength: 19

Rian is just a belt o reach the giant spider using all his movement and is not restrained by the webs.

 The giant spider continues its assault on Jimjar.

Attack: 13 Damage: 7 (Poison: 6) (Con Save: 9) 

Jimjar finally succumbs to the attacks and falls unconscious on the webs. Stable but poisoned.  

Topsy and Turvy in a rage, both make 2 dagger strikes each against the spider.

(Attack: 9 Damage: 4) (Attack: 6 Damage: 5) (Attack: 9 Damage: 6) (Attack: 22 Damage: 6)

 All four strikes make contact as the two young deep gnomes savagely take out the second giant spider (Dead). 

 Buppido once again attempts to escape from the webs. (Dex: 15) He screams out “Help me!” to the rest of the group as he struggles aimlessly. 

Derendil attempts to escape. (Strength: 12) Barely able to escape the webs, he picks up Ront, ready to carry him to the edge of the webs. “Come on buddy,” he says. (Athletics 24) Unfortunately, he just can’t quite seem to get the dead weight to budge. (Strength Save: 8) And he also becomes restrained in the webs yet again. 

Shuushar dashes carrying Stool and this turn is able to reach the edge of the webs (Strength: 19) Unfortunately now restrained by the webs. “Stool and I are ready to jump,” he calls out unusually loudly for the old Kuo Toa.

 Shoor growls in rage at the sight of his giant spiders dying, and attempts to shoot a blob from the wand of viscid globs at Topsy.

Attack: 11

She is able to dodge the glob and gives a surprisingly feral growl right back at Shoor.

 Voyage, Syvis, Nicholas, Rian, Cailean, and Thodek are up!

At this point most of the outpost has gathered on the bridge including Ilvara and seem to be watching with amusement at the chaos. There is no sign of Sarith and you can just makes out what seems to be Shoor and Ilvara sharing a smile.

Thodek will dash for the edge and jump into the water if he can reach.

Syvis, having trouble making a decision for possibly the first time in her life, walks as far as she can toward the edge of the web so that she still has time (movement) to peak out of the fog, shoot at Shoor with her crossbow, and duck back in.

Reaching into a satchel, she retrieves one of the crossbow bolts she took from the dead drow guards and knocks it.

Attack: 17 Damage: 5

Dex: 24

 With Syvis' help Nicholas is able to free himself from the webs, "Thank you." 

Looking around, he sees that the gathering drow on the bridge. The situation is looking increasingly grim and the reality hit him. They would not be able to save everyone and it did not looks like they would be able to get Eldeth out of whatever that was. With a glance towards Eldeth, he says softly, "I'm sorry."

Nicholas then shouts to those who could still move, "Run!" and then starts dashing towards the water end of the webs.

Rian had just managed to approach the giant spider it was killed. When Nicholas shouts for them to run, he nods. He curses himself for not contributing more to the encounter, and dashes towards the water end and jumps. 

Voyage Dex Save: 9

Still stuck in the webs and beginning to panic as the others are starting to make their way towards the water, Voyage curses at Nayantara again in her mind and then yells to her nearest compatriots (Nicholas and Syvis, I'm assuming).

"Go on and get out of here! Make sure the mushroom child and the crazy old Kuo-Tua get out! We knew what we signed up for when we agreed to try this escape. If the lot of you ever encounter a marid named Tara....well, tell her Voyage says she owes you a boon."

She looks up at  Shoor, anger flashing in her eyes at his amusement, and takes another improbable shot at him (Disadvantage because restrained)

Attack: 12 Damage: 9

Rian and Thodek are both able to jump from the webs, landing with a large splash in the freezing water below.

Nicholas is just able to get to the edge of he webs before his feet suddenly begin to stick the webs, becoming restrained. 

Syvis is able to quickly dash out of the fog cloud to take a shot at Shoor, but the bolt goes wide, before you quickly duck back into the fog (Miss). 

Voyage is unfortunately still stuck in the webs, struggling to get free, and unsuccessfully send an eldritch blast towards Shoor (Miss). 

Cailean will attempt to break free from the webs (Dex: 7) But is unable to.

NPCs are up! 

Derendil tried to escape the webs (Strength: 12) He does so successfully before once again attempts to pick up Ront to carry him to the edge. (Athletics: 13) He gives an annoyed sniff seemingly unsure of what to do now. (Strength save: 18) However he is not stuck in the webs. (Originally was a 22)

Buppido attempts to escape (Dex: 22) but is still unable to break free of his sticky prison. (Originally a 5)

 Shuushar attempts to escape (Strength: 18) He is able to break free, as both he and Stool jump down into the river below. (Originally a 19)

Topsy and Turvy work together to try and pick up Jimjar (One helping the other.) (Athletics: 20) And somehow, the two young deep gnomes are able to carry Jimjar’s unconscious body and jump off of the edge with it in tow. (Originally has an 18 for Athletics.)

(Welp this post is sufficiently screwed up now. Pay attention to the actions in the text, not the rolls, because they have changed a bit. Will continue in a new post.)

Shoor is up! 

Although you can tell he begins to seem nervous at the sight of some people jumping, Shoor keeps his cool and calls out to Syvis. “Come out little elf girl. Let’s play a game.”

He shoots a charge from the wand of viscid globs towards Syvis (disadvantage).

Attack: 16 

The glob misses by a couple feet as he give a cry of anger.

 At this point Ilvara begins to grimace at the sight of her prisoners actually escaping. She gives a hand motion as two Drow soldiers jump down to the web, and a 3rd and final giant spider also comes into view.

 Voyage, Syvis, Nicholas, and Cailean are up! (Nicholas, Voyage, and Cailean are restrained)

Voyage will take a deep breath and calm herself for a split second, silently asking Nayantara's assistance to escape the webs.

"Hahahaha!" She laughs with surprise and triumph and will use her action to Dash straight towards the water 15 feet.

End-of-turn Save: 14

Syvis makes a rude gesture that Shoor cannot see through the fog. Hearing Voyage's cry of victory, she stops feeling around in her bag for the silken rope to try and lasso the tiefling. She carefully feels her way 10 feet north (out of the fog), loads another poison bolt into her crossbow, and lets fly at the drow before ducking once more into the fog (east).

Attack: 21 Damage: 9

Dex: 21

 Nicholas wrenches himself free of the webs and rushes to the edge and jumps.
