Voyage is able to make is 30 feet closer to the edge of the webs and is able to stay unrestrained by the webs.
Syvis pulls the same maneuver as before, but this time Shoor is ready and is able to block the bolt with his shield (Miss).
Nicholas is able to wrench himself free from the webs and jumps after his fellow party members into the depths below.
Cailean will attempt to break free (Dex: 18) He is able to do so, then taking a look at Ront, decides to dash to the edge of the webs. After he does this, Cailean suddenly disappears in a flash, reappearing above the water (Fey Step). Cailean has now jumped. (Sorry Ront but I can’t be killing my PCs)
The drow are up!
The first soldier spends his entire turn moving to reach Buppido. The second soldier takes a strike at Buppido with his shortsword (advantage).
Attack: 21 Damage: 5
It sinks deep into the Derro’s chest as he gives a scream of pain (-8hp).
NPCs are up!
Buppdio frantically tries to escape (Dex: 7) But as he realizes escape is now impossible, the old Derro give small sigh of defeat.
Derendil gives one final look at Ront. “Sorry my friend,” he says before turning and running to the end of the webs. He is able to reach the edge and jumps into the frigid river.
Giant Spider is up!
It spends its entire action to dash, almost reaching Voyage and Syvis.
Shoor is up!
”Aha, there you are!” Shouts Shoor towards Syvis. He then expends another charge of the wand of viscid globs, shooting it at Syvis with disadvantage.
Attack: 13
It misses again and splats on the web next to you.
Voyage will use her movement to move to the edge of the webs. She looks back, peering into the Fog Cloud, and sighs. There were a few folks somewhere in there, and it wasn't like her to leave people behind. She sighs, whispers "I'm sorry. I..." She wipes away a tear and jumps.
Not knowing the fates of Ront or Buppido (they were on the other side of the fog cloud the whole time) but heeding Eldeth's plea to run, Syvis steps out of the fog to the edge of the web and turns to glower at Shoor. She says something disparaging about the drow's lineage in Undercommon and uses one hand to repeat the obscene gesture he missed earlier while firing one last poison bolt at him with the other. Without waiting to see if the shot hits, she leans backward and plummets off the web into the water below.
Voyage and Syvis are both able to jump into the river, joining the rest of the party.
Shoor gives out a loud growl of anger as he easily bats away Syvis’ bolt, before dropping to the webs sullenly.
Ilvara grimaces as she turns away from the ledge, quickly returning to her quarters. “Recapture any prisoners left. We can find the rest later,” she curtly yells to the rest of the drow in the outpost. Although no one is watching,
Jorlan give a small wry smile. “Well done,” he whispers under his breath.
The party all hit the water in relatively quick succession, gasping at the shocking cold of the pool.
Despite this, you are all able to haul yourself out of the water onto the cavern floor that runs along the underground river. Most of the party is sopping wet, but somehow relatively healthy. Jimjar lays unconscious with Topsy and Turvy both sitting near him shivering. Derendil stays about 10 feet away from the group as her shakes the water out of his fur, and Shuushar comforts a shivering Stool.
Looking around, you see a path leading north and another heading south; both of which go parallel to the river. Additionally, there appears the be a 3rd path that narrows from the small stone clearing you currently rest in, and heads west. (Red arrows on map)
Water, cool, beautiful water! Even though she is drenched and shivering, Voyage has never been happier. "You beautiful, wonderful thing." She murmurs to no one in particular. "If you're watching....if you still care, thank you!"
She will look over to the stealth group. "My---my bottle, do you have it? I'm sorry, but I need it now." Her voice is level, but you can see a very obvious twitching in her tail. "And then we need to move."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nicholas pulls himself out of the water, shivering as he is exposed to the cold air of the underdark. Practically blind in the darkness, Nicholas tries to light one of the torches from the armory. "Thodek or Syvis should have it," he replies to Voyage as he gets down to trying to light a wet torch.
Survival: 10

Syvis stands and straightens her grey tunic, silver eyes flashing in the dark as she rifles through her satchel. She pulls out a curious, small, glowing bottle and hands it to Voyage. "An odd trinket, indeed. I would like to have a conversation about it at a later time when we are somewhat safer and more comfortable." Removing a slightly broken and wet sprig of mistletoe, she hands it to Cailean with an apologetic look. Looking to Rian she says, "I believe Thodek has your relic."
Noticing Nicholas struggling to light his soggy stick, she approaches, reaches out, and lays a hand on the end of it. "Galad," she whispers, eyes focused intently on the torch as it begins to glow brightly.
"Now for the issues pertaining to travel. Are any of you magic users healers? Our gnomish friend there could use some attention unless someone wants to carry him."
She then begins searching the area for any signs of life or recent passage through: footprints, tracks of creatures or carts, points of light down any of the paths, smells or sounds that could have originated from other beings down here, etc.
Voyage will grasp the vessel in her hand, closing her eyes for a second then, but after a moment she opens them and nods gratefully to Syvis. "Aye. We should definitely have that conversation at a later date. You have my thanks, elf."
As Syvis begins her search, Voyage moves over to speak to the twins, Shuushar and Derendil quietly. "Do any of you know where we are? Does one of these paths lead to some sort of settlement? Or even better, a way directly to the surface?"
Svyis: You don’t necessarily see any specific tracks leading down the paths, but it does seem they are relatively traveled
Voyage: As you come over, Shuushar gives a small nod, and Derendil after drying off, moves in closer to the group. “I believe Darklake is westward,” Shuushar says. Other than that though, nobody seems to know where the passages lead.
Thodek: Thinking back, you are able to remember that your home, the city of Gracklstugh, is southward.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thodek pulls out the two holy symbols, putting his own around his neck before handing the other one over to Rian. He moves over to their unconscious companion and lays one hand on him, muttering a quick prayer as the flesh around his injures pulls itself back together.
Thodek hesitates for a moment looking around, “I believe my former home is southward, but we may not receive a warm welcome there, so perhaps westward s a good choice.” As he speaks, his hand drifts back up to his fresh tattoos.
Syvis nods to Voyage in confirmation. Looking around the group, she says, "We need to decide on a direction and start moving as quickly as possible as soon as everyone's on their feet. If none of you have knowledge of this crossroad or a preference of direction we can roll this strange cubic stone I found with numbers etched on it..."
Her diminutive form looms over the prone Jimjar when he comes to. In her flat, expressionless manner she says, "It's good to see you're still with us. Are you well enough to travel? Do you remember what happened? Do you know where you are?"
Jimjar slowly wakes and sits up. He gives a weak smile and chuckle before saying quietly. “Slow down, slow down. I’m not exactly at my best, but we need to move quickly, so I think I can manage.” He stands up with a groan “What’s the plan? Is there anything I can help with?”
(Jimjar is poisoned until he take a short or long rest.)
Voyage nods. "Westward sounds fine to me. Lake means water, and the water's never treated me too badly, especially if you don't think yer people will be too happy to see us, Thodek. Last thing we need is more trouble. Unless you have a sense of the best way to the surface, Jimjar?"
"So you still have your wits about you. It would have been a shame for you to forget you owed me 10 gold, what with your reputation and all," Syvis smirks.
Her face grows somber once more, "There will be time to rest and recuperate once we reach a place of relative safety. Do you have any knowledge of this area? I believe the duergar lives to the south whereas our amphibious friend needs to go west. We can draw straws, roll dice, spin a bottle, etc., if no one has a preference but it would be advantageous if one of us knew these paths. We need to decide which way to go and get moving quickly."
"Thanks," Nicholas rises to his feet with the magically lit torch in his hands and then moves towards the west exit. He waits till everyone seems to be ready before cautiously moving forward, "I guess we best be moving then."

“Blingdenstone, my home city, is northward,” Jimjar says to Voyage. “I’m willing to bet money there’s a way to reach the surface from there. Unfortunately though, the drow metropolis of Menzoberranzan is located on the way. Menzoberranzan is extremely dangerous, but I will follow where you decide to go.”
“As you for,” changing focus to Syvis. “I never forget a bet,” he says with a wink. “Just need to find me some coin.”
"It seems the young paladin's assessment is sound. North and south hold known danger. The path west, I'm sure, contains its own, unknown danger but I don't fancy walking directly toward hostile settlements if it can be avoided."
