Voyage DEX Save: 11
The steam catches her full blast in the face and she stumbles backward, but she does not look quite as hurt as she should after being caught in scalding steam. (-5 hp)
(Voyage has resistance to fire damage due to tiefling)
She coughs and stumbles, taking a minute to catch her breath. "Steam vent Watch yerselves!" She'll announce to those behind her.

(No need to make a check Syvis, as this was only targeting Voyage. I rolled randomly for the encounter victim, Sorry!)
As quickly as the steam appeared, it is gone again. Although some party members may have taken the brunt of the force, most are unharmed and are able to make their way to the passageway safely.
The rest of the day’s travel through the winding labyrinth of rocky passageways goes as smoothly as such exhausting travel can, and it soon becomes time for the group to sleep.
I need a survival check from either Cailean or Nicholas made with advantage due to the other one assisting.
Additionally, Shuushar will make a Survival check with advantage for navigation due to help from Thodek.
Survival: 11 (Let me know if Thodek would like to start making these checks because Shuushar has a +0 to Survival.)
Nevertheless, you continue down the right path and are able to complete a second day of successful travel.
Now would be the time to role play any conversations between PCs and or NPCs, or let me know if your character would have done anything throughout the days travel.
As they continue to navigate the subterranean caverns of the underdark, Nicholas with Caileans's help is constantly on the look up out for anything that can supplement their meager food and water supplies.
Survival Check: 518
OOC: Sorry forgot to roll with advantage for the first die.
Before settling down for the...night? sleepy time? "long rest"... Syvis pulls Voyage aside to talk.
"Before we set out today I saw you sit down with your ice bottle. I'm not certain if anyone else was paying attention but I AM certain I witnessed you disappearing for the better part of an hour. While I have heard tales of teleporting mages, I don't know why any would choose to return to this accursed place. What manner of magic is it? Is the bottle an anchor to return to your point of origin? For that matter, is the place you traveled to your point of origin and THIS your destination? That raises several more questions that I'll address at a later point. Where were you transported? Your home? Another plane of existence? Are you able to take others? Are we able to use this magic to escape our current predicament?" Realizing her intensity, she pauses, breathing heavily, before continuing in a softer, more measured tone, "I apologise. When witnessing new marvel's I find myself filled with questions and a need to find applications to test my understanding." Then she falls silent and stares at Voyage expectantly with her large, hard-to-read, silver eyes, clearly feeling she had explained her strangeness sufficiently.
Thodek will cast create water, another 10 gallons, and consume his full ration before conducting another ritual, converting a portion of gold into a bag of caltrops.
Voyage looks up in surprise as Syvis appears and asks about the bottle. The tiefling's hands instinctively pull it in closer to her, and then, as the elf's tone softens, Voyage closes her eyes.
"I did say we would discuss this." She sighs. "I think I told you all I am a sailor by trade. Gods, I loved the sea. The feeling of waking up and walking on to the deck and seeing nothing but sky and water. There is no feeling like it in the world." For the first time since you've met her, her entire body seems calm, and even her twitchy tail seems relaxed for once.
"It has been some time since I've been to the sea. I found a...being, that offered to help those I cared about. I agreed. She gave me certain gifts, this bottle among them. But she also demanded much. I...." It looks as though she is about to say more, but stops herself.
"I am still learning the capabilities of this vessel. Right now, I can go in myself for only a few hours and as near as I can tell, it the inside of this bottle is actually a space between planes. It is quite comfortable in there once you get used to the sensation of...well, being in a bottle. I think, given time, I may be able to bring others with me to hide, or to rest. But not yet."
She offers a thin smile. "And I would love nothing more than to disappear from here forever and reappear in Neverwinter. But I am limited to the physical location of this bottle. Besides, a good sailor never abandons her crew." She gestures to all the other escapees scattered across the camp site.
Cailean looks over the rations, spending time to channel magic around the stores to remove hidden toxins from them. Once satisfied, he conjures berries to add to the offerings with a gentle reminder that they will only last for 24 hours from the time of conjuring.
He eats one of the berries, then slowly sips his day's portion of water as he watches the others settle in for their rest and reflects over what their group has gone through together so far.
Casting Purify Food and Drink as a ritual over the food stores, casting Goodberry and adding 9 berries to the food stores. Full ration in the form of 1 berry and drinks full water.
"Intriguing..." Syvis says, lost in though. You wait for more but she remains silent, chewing on a lip with brow furrowed. Several moments later she walks away without another word.

Based on what everyone said, that would put us at 11 full rations of food used (supplemented by Cailean), leaving the party with 15 lbs of food. Additionally 11.5 gallons of water were consumed (supplemented by Thodek), leaving the party with 14.5 gallons of water left. Nicholas gains one level of exhaustion meaning he has disadvantage on all ability checks until his next long rest where he can get rid of the exhaustion. Thodek also now has an extra bag of caltrops.
Assorted members of the party take watches while others are able to sleep soundly on the cold hard ground of the passage. The next couple days go by without trouble and it is 6 days and nothing of interest occurs until you come across a large cavern that is dimly lit by a hazy mist that just feels... off. There seems to be a constant energy buzzing through the air that you just can’t quite place.

Exhausted by his attempt to try and ration their water supplies by drinking less, Nicholas rests against the cavern wall as the come to a stop. While he leaves the scouting of the way ahead to those with eyes better suited to the dark than himself, his eyes constantly scan the darkness beyond the light of the torch looking for any sight of danger.

Syvis removes a single caltrop and tosses it a few feet into the mist, seeing if there is any effect. She's looking for any swirling or movement of the mist, electrical zap from the metal conduction (on a hunch), any perceivable movement or sound from a creature being alerted by the sound of the caltrop hitting the stone floor...
Thodek fainlty remembers learning about these mists that occasionally appear throughout the Underdark, but can’t actually remember anything about them.
Syvis throws a single caltrop into the hazy area, but nothing seems to happen. The mist stays relatively in the same place and no electrical zaps can be seen.
Syvis shrugs and turns to Thodek, "Although you are the first I have met, I have heard tales of the duergar and their fortitude. Would you be willing to risk stepping into the mist to test a theory?"
Thodek raises his amulet of Moradin and whispers a quick prayer (guidance) before taking a couple steps into the mist, trying to stay in sight of his allies in case something bad happens.
Thodek: As you step into the mists, the buzzing in your head suddenly gets louder before disappearing completely. Nothing odd seems to happen that you can feel, but after about ten seconds, you begin to sense something creeping into the back of your mind into your subconscious. Please make a Wisdom Saving Throw.
Those watching perceive no reaction or difference in Thodek’s stance.

Hearing Voyage's warning, Syvis is able to jump out of the way and avoid most of the steam, still getting a bit singed in the process.
