Nicholas listens to the conversation without much to added. The whole situation was just so unfamiliar to him. Above ground he had the scooting around dangerous areas, even making large detours if need be. Down here in the underdark however, that was not an option as cave walls were much harder to get around.

The long rest continues without trouble and the party wakes up to continue their travel through the Underdark.
As you continue, the passages become darker and even those with darkvision begin to have trouble seeing through the winding tunnels. Additionally, the tunnels begin to narrow as they also begin to fill with water. Shuushar tells you this is safe and means that you must be close, but the waist deep water is still nerve racking to some.
Thodek please make a final survival check with advantage to navigate the dark passages.
Although your travel is somewhat slowed down by the exhausting process of trudging through water, you still continue successfully for the majority of the day.
At this point, those in the front who I believe are Syvis and Thodek. You notice some dim light approaching the party from around a bend in the passageway that is accompanied by soft unintelligible voices chattering.
Ill assume the party has some form of light source at the moment.
Thodek holds up a hand for the group to hold for a moment, speaking to Shuushar while continuing to look ahead, “Do they sound like your kith and kin?”
Syvis: As you inch up the passageway silently, you see what you assume to be a fishing boat filled with 9 fish-like humanoids akin to Shuushar. The boat is slowly rowing down the passage towards the party and is dimly lit by what looks like phosphorescent fungi.
You would be able to inch back to the party and tell them what you saw, but after that there isn’t much time till the boat reaches you.
Voyage looks at Shushaar. "Knowing who your people are....should we be expecting a fight? Or do your people trust you enough to vouch for us, old one?"
"Either way, we would all do well to be on our guard," Syvis says as she palms a dagger inconspicuously and pivots behind Thodek, crouching lower in the water.
Voyage puts her dagger away. "Fine with me. We'll need some supplies and directions anyway -- maybe a boat too. Doesn't pay to anger the locals unnecessarily."
She looks to the others in the group. "But I won't be put in chains again. If they put on foot wrong, I will light them up."
She nods at Shushaar. "May the Gods be with you, old one. Go have your talk."
Nicholas would agree with the groups decision and watches Shushaar go speak with his people. Nicholas would however continue to remain vigilant in the case of everything going south as it has on numerous occasions so far.

Finally the boat of kuo-toa reaches you. Shuushar steps in front of the group and greets the fishing patrol with a nod.
He then begins to enter what seems like a conversation in an unintelligible language full of guttural noises and soft clicks. Shuushar and what you assume to be the leader converse for a little while before the back-and-forth slowly trails off.
Shuushar turns as you see the kuo toa begins to draw their spears. “They have asked us to surrender ourselves and our weapons. I... I don’t recognize any of these Kuo-Toa. They seem different... angry,” he says gravely.
The leader barks some kind of command towards Shuushar who quickly turns back and continues talking with the leader.
Syvis (already behind Thodek and up to her neck in the water) silently slips underwater and begins to swim toward the far end of the boat. When she's confident she's gone far enough to get a ways behind the kua-toa, she stands only enough to get her eyes, ears, and nose above water and then waits.

As the sounds of voices upfront filter through the ranks, Nicholas instinctively reaches for his crossbow wary of what lies ahead.

Voyage will creep closer and draw her dagger, looking to Thodek and Shushaar for any sign that they recognize the voices ahead.
Syvis breaks from the group and presses into the shadows against the cave wall out of sight of whoever is approaching.

Thodek listens to the surroundings, trying to determine if there are any other groups out there. Otherwise he'll wait for Shuushar to make contact.
