Seeing Muharg's jaw clench and Arogna's scowl, Shad calls on the Cat Lord's aid for his allies, casting Bless on them. He swallows, hoping for a tree or something he can climb, but thinks no such thing exists on this tundra.
Qinfaren sees the wolves and points them out to any of the group who haven't seen them yet. He catches himself admiring the white coats and how they blend easily into the background.
"Big ones, aren't they?"Qinfaren says.
He runs a thumb along the mistletoe on his staff, centering himself and getting ready for what may come.
As soon as Arogna cuts the two dog free, they bolt off in the opposite direction. Leaving the sled with the parcels behind. The wolves meanwhile start heading towards you.

Muharg looks around, trying to find a spot where to shelter from the wolves, even better if there's also the option to fire some range attacks from within.
Hahaha, I assumed they were much closer than that and an attack was imminent. Arogna wouldn't have let the dogs loose with the wolves that far away. She would have kept moving, tried to look confident, talked loudly, and hoped that the wolves were intimidated enough to stay clear of the group. Is it okay to retcon based on this information? Or at least to grab the dogs as they run.
Arogna curses as the dogs bolt for freedom, and she whistles and shouts after them. "I thought they was closer, an' we was all about to get ate," she says lamely. "Nobody should hafta die tied up. 'Cept for a [orcish word for a dishonorable criminal, which you might remember her using about Griggle at some point]. Qinfaren, maybe they'll come back if you call 'em."
She stands tall, trying to make herself look intimidating, stretches out her arms, and growls towards the approaching wolves.

Shad will take out his crossbow. "Can we, perhaps, outrun them? We have a mile lead," he says. "I'm not sure where we would go, exactly. Back to town?" He will make another attempt to hide effectively: 22.
At that moment, Shad notices a small cave nearby, created by the ice and snow. It's not very big, and you al would only just be able to squeeze into it. Though, it might be a place to wait out the wolves.

Qinfaren calls after the dogs, trying to give them a sense of calm and encourage them to rejoin the 'pack' and head to the cave.
(Persuasion: 11 )
Speech of Beast and Leaf:
You can communicate with (though not understand) beasts and plants and have advantage on CHA checks to influence them.
I've read that as Qinfaren could convey emotion or very basic, basic ideas to a plant or beast but not more than what that creature could realistically understand. Not sure if that would be of any help here or not.
"There!" Shad will try not to yell too loudly. "See! That cave. If we go in first and pull the sledge after us . . . We might be able to attack them from within it!"
Qinfaren grabs the cut leads on the sled and begins pulling it towards the cave, all the while calling to the dogs to encourage them to return to the pack.
As you all enter into the cramped cave you all feel a littler safer from the winter wolves. Now, whilst standing in the cave, you know that wolves cannot attack you from behind. However, with only one entrance to the cave, and no exit other out, if the wolves find you, you will have to overcome the wolves to escape.
Before you can really consider your situation, you soon hear the sound of animals walking around nearby, sniffing the snow blanketed ground.

Qinfaren takes a deep breath and wishes himself to be as quiet as possible, as he does, he runs his thumb along the mistletoe on his staff and whispers "Ductu" to himself.
Casts: Guidance on himself (Bjorn can make use of the Blessing of the Trickster)
As you all try to stay as quiet as possible, helping each other to remain hidden from the wolves. One of the winter wolves happens to wonder in front of the cave sniffing the ground as it goes. There is tension in the air as the wolf is right outside the entrance the cave, but has not yet noticed you. Then the sound of Muharg's chainmail jingling catches the wolf's attention. It turns to it's head in the direction of the cave and it's pale blue eyes lock in on Muharg's. It begins to snarl as slowly approaches.
