"Yes, we shall," Bàn answers with a bit of a grin on the side of his face. "But not yet... Let's not be hasty." As he speaks Bàn slowly moves around the tomb and inspects it.
"It could be trapped. There could be magics about it. It's a bit off being in the middle of nowhere so such oddities may be more common?" he continues as his examination continues. He begins at a distance before slowly moving in and inspecting the tomb up close and personal. He gives it his best possible look before he dares try to budge it, none the less open it.

Bàn looks at the stone block but sees no evidence of traps magical or otherwise.
Bjorn nods his head as he watches Bàn examine the tomb, "You have a point there. I mean I think that this whole chamber was possibly what remains from ancient burial site. These pictographs do seem to illustrate how this tribal chieftain led her people settle in this region. Then this one seems to be showing how they fought some terrible monster. Although, this one seems to show that the chieftain carried a wand and casting a destructive spell.
So, we have this room, and then we have the area just through there where we fought Duhg and his 'friend', I think that was another burial area. Therefore, I don't think this is necessarily in the middle of nowhere. Some ancient tribe used live here or close by. Human by the looks of it.
However, this all that remains, and no one has disturbed this tomb. I suspect there would be something to protect their chieftain's remains."
Bjorn crouches to help examine the tomb.
"Here let me help you."

"Ah, I see what's going on here. The chieftain is laid to rest under this stone block. That's where the tomb his. I don't think we will be able to move this by ourselves."
“If only we had a couple of giants to help us lift it,” Bàn says wryly. He looks around more at the walls and such in case there are any levers or triggering mechanisms but then shrugs and gives in.
“It’s a curious thing, but I suppose not our real job to investigate. Let’s go see how Ricky is making out and continue on our way…”
"Well we could try that," Bàn replies as they walk. "I had thought you mean all of us, not just you and I... Let's see what is coming with the statue and then we could possibly all return."
As they reach the statue and Bàn sees Qinfaren testing the waters, so to speak, Bàn suggests he could cast a spell that would allow him to detect magic. "If you think there may be something here, otherwise I wouldn't want to waste my energies. But it should last long enough for me to see if there's something here and then perhaps rush back to the tomb..."
"This statue is carved out of the rock so its not going away," Qinfaren says. "If there is magic around it we could investigate a bit more but even if it is we'd probably have to come back here to make use of it. Might be worth knowing though."
Bàn casts detect magic and sees a gold aura radiating from the statue and running through the pool of water. Bàn knows that this aura signifies magic belonging to abjuration magic.

Bàn advises the others of this. “My guess would be that statue is doing something to the waters… Let me check the toon while I still can, then I can come back and do more to try to identify just what this is.”
(interrupt as needed, just summarizing below to speed things up if nothing comes up…)
Bàn hurries to the tomb before his 10 minutes of Detect Magic expires and reads what he can, if anything. He shares that information with the others and then suggests “if we want to make a day of this I have a ritual that may allow me to identify some of these magics more precisely.” He would first spend the ritual casting time and the statue and the water to cast Identify there, then do so again at the tomb - perhaps more carefully depending what he had detected there…
Bàn quickly checks out the tomb and sees grey auras coming from beneath the tombstone. This means that there is magic underneath the tomb, but it does not belong to any school of magic.
Bàn then performs a ritual to identify the statue's properties whilst touching it. Bàn learns that the statue blesses the pool, granting anyone who drinks from the pool the effects of greater restoration.
"I think you might be right, Qinfaren," replies Bjorn. "What did you find out?"
(No has heard of the pool before.)

Qinfaren looks back down at the water after Bàn lets them know what it is.
"That would be handy, but strange that it was out here with the verbeeg," Qinfaren says. "At least it's good to know it's hear if we're ever passing this way and need help."
He stands up and nods in the direction of the tomb he's heard about.
"I don't like the idea of opening someone's tomb," he says then adds, "but the verbeeg might have been using it as somewhere safe to lock things up. Shall we open it?"
If the others agree, Qinfaren will help push the lid off.
Before leaving this room, Bàn takes a drink of the restorative waters. He doesn't think he needs it, but surely it cannot hurt. He will also empty a waterskin and fill it with the waters from the pool. "No idea if it will retain it's restorative properties but it is worth a shot," he says to the others with a shrug.
Having told the others that there was magics at the tomb but unidentifable to any school of magic, he again suggests they wait the ten or so minutes it takes him to try his Identify spell. "It may not work though, this time," he warns. "The magic seems to be coming from beneath, not the tomb itself... So touching the tomb may not be enough. No harm in trying though, barring the wasting of some sunlight..."
Unless there is objection Bàn does the Identify ritual again and (I'm assuming) comes up empty. "I guess the choice is to open or not... I vote open, out of curiosity if nothing else."
"Well, then it looks like we're opening it," Bjorn says before joining the others to start pushing. It takes a moment for the tomb to start moving, but eventually, everyone summons enough strength. With a lot of effort, the top begins to move, and the tomb is opened with time.
Beneath the block, the skeletal remains of a female human are found underneath. Her tribal garb has been reduced to dust and tatters. In her left hand is a large spherical object that looks like a pearl. In her right hand is a wand.
"Looks like those two items are what you were sending, Bàn"

Qinfaren keeps melting the water while the others go check the other chamber.
Bjorn and Bàn arrive in the room with the stone block. Now that they are in the room themselves, it is evident that it is a tomb.
"What do you think?" Bjorn asks. "Shall we open it?"

Qinfaren swirls his hands in any water that has resulted from melting the ice, sniffing it and feeling it to see if its anything other than water.

Qinfaren tests the water, but he is confident that it is water.

Qinfaren lets the water dribble off of his fingers.
"Whatever it's doing to the water, it's not making it acidic or anything," Qinfaren says. "You probably have to drink it."
He waits to hear back on the tomb before exploring it further. While waiting he looks over at Ricky.
"Has anyone in Good Mead heard anything about a magic spring out here?"
(Has he heard anything about this, DM?)

”This really is a tomb. I vote for just putting the lid back on and leaving her rest in peace.”
