Ricky shakes his head. "Nah, we're taking this stuff. I ain't a grave robber, but I also recognize a place of power and stuff that don't rot. There's magic here, for sure. I'll take all the magic I can get for to help us on this business ahead." Ricky scoops up the sphere and the wand.
Before we leave, I'd like to try and fill up my water skin with water from the apparently blessed water.
"Let's not kid ourselves, we take the items and we are grave robbers. Or perhaps tomb raiders is a more apt appellation?" Bàn says with a hint of a sneer. "Not saying it's not the right choice but let's not sugarcoat things..."
If Ricky is willing to allow him to hold the items for the time it takes to identify them (11 minutes each) then he will. If Ricky resists then Bàn shrugs and looks back to the tomb. He had a sense it may go deeper than this so he checks inside the thing for a possible false bottom or such. (Maybe I just misinterpreted the description though...)
Bàn checks the pearl first, and discovers that the pearl requires attunement by someone who can cast spells. The pearl will return some magic to the wielder when the command word is spoken. Bàn then checks the wand (+1), he discovers that it too requires attunement by a spellcaster. Then the wand will grant a boost when casting combat spells and will help hit those who are hidden.

Bàn will ask the others to chck the bottom of the tomb and such for hidden passage or such while he checks the items. Once he has finished identifying the objects he returns them to Ricky, explaining how they work. "If there is nothing else of interest here we should get moving on..."
Qinfaren keeps his distance from the tomb and focuses on the other passages that enter into this room.
"They may be powerful, but I'll pass," Qinfaren says. "My people sometimes place items that were important to the firbolg in life in their burial mound. It's very bad manners to dig it back up."
Bàn shrugs. "I don't disagree but at the same time life goes on and if they could have truly taken it with them I think they would have by now," he says trying not to sound too glib about it. He wouldn't have disturbed the place if it had not been a source of trouble for the locals. When a gift is dropped in your lap though...
Bàn tosses the pearl to Bjorn and sticks the wand into his gear and is ready to continue on...
Bjorns nods in response to Qinfaren, "You speak the truth, my friend. However, this person is from a time long forgotten. I don't know if anyone would be offended today.
I think I would like that pearl though if no one else wants it."

Ricky puts a hand on Qinfaren. "I respect that. But I've had my ass handed to me six ways to Sunday more times than I can count. I ain't gonna even go the distance without taking every advantage I can. I'm too short. Too weak. Too slow. And too stupid. If you can do it without losing some self respect, I'll help you do it."
Bjorn watches as Ricky places a hand on Qinfaren in comfort, and then he shakes his head, "Come on. Let's get back to that cave to get some of the water then return to town. I don't think there's much else left in these caves for us. It was already getting late when we first arrived."

Qinfaren looks down at Ricky and smiles through his bearded face.
"I'm still not used to how cruel the world is outside of my valley," Qinfaren says. "There you could either stay hidden or talk your way through most problems or just go fishing for the day. But out here . ."
He waves his hands around.
"I understand and don't hold it against any of you. If you think we need these items then make use of them."
He hoists his pack on to his shoulders, taps some snow off the bottom of his staff and gets ready to head back.
Once they've filled their waterskins, Qinfaren will keep an eye out for trouble as they start towards Good Mead, looking low to the sides of the trail.
Bàn, on a rest on their way back to Good Mead (assuming we get one and aren't interupted first), will repeat his Identify ritual to see if the waters from the statue continue to hold any magical qualities after they have been transported away...
On the journey back, Bàn takes a moment to test the contents of one of the waterskins. After spending the time to complete the ritual, Bàn learns the water is still effected by the greater restoration spell. However, the water from the pool will only work on a creature once.
It takes several more hours of travel until the group finally makes it to the edge of town. Already people are waking up to go about their day. It seems that a whole day has passed since you first left Good Mead.

"It would have been nice if the verbeegs hadn't been so aggressive," he says but then shrugs, "but we deal with what we get not what we want."
He then looks over at Bjorn.
"After a bit of a rest, do you think we can make it down the road to Dougan's Hole before dark? We'll have to set out from there to go overland to find the duergar fortress right?"
He thinks about that for a few moments.
"Does anyone have any ideas on how to deal with duergars who seem to really like to become invisible?"

Bjorn thinks for a moment, "Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but whilst I'm tired, I'm not too bad. I think after a short break, we should definitely get to Dougan's Hole before dark. It is only a four-hour trek from here.
Let's go see your friend, Ricky, Olivessa. We should tell her all about what has transpired since we left."

Bjorn turns to Ricky, "It might be worthwhile letting Bàn check what those items do."

Qinfaren frowns a little when Ricky scoops up the wand and the sphere. Then sighs.
"Yes, Bàn should check them," Qinfaren adds then looks down at Ricky. "Wands and orbs might not be much help to a warrior like you."

Ricky holds out the items to be examined.
"Perhaps we are 'expert treasure hunter's then..."

"Huh.... I can't do much with these, but they sound fascinating. Somebody take them." Ricky holds out the pearl and wand.
