Despite not getting much sleep in the last day, no one is particularly exhausted. After walking through the small town, the group quickly returns to Olivessa's place.
"It seems you have all made it back in one piece," Olivessa says after opening the door to Ricky's knock. "Well, mostly. How did it all go? Did you manage to finish the job this time?"

Ricky gestures to the giant verbeeg head they'd cut off earlier. "Yeah, nasty business. Two verbeeg's, not just one. There were murders, too. Grisly scene they managed. Whole town is better off with them gone. And thanks to these friends I aim to help now as well."
"There's a fountain of water back there too," he says. "We think it has some healing properties. It would be good to share that news with the village and your neighboring towns too."
He looks around at the others.
"Quick bite to eat and then head to Dougan's Hole?"
"A meal sounds good. Not sure how quick we need to be, Ricky may need to do more polticking in order to get the full effect of that head," Bàn suggests but he is eager to continue on their journey whenever it is practical.
Olivessa nods her head, "I see... Well... we knew the one was a murderer as he killed our leader. That's why you went back out there to exact revenge.
That reminds me, did you have more thought about whether you wanted to take leadership of Good Mead, Ricky? I'd hate to see the position go to Shandar. With this news regarding this fountain of water, it would boost the town's confidence in you."
Just at that moment, the sound of shouting can be heard with cries of pain. Turning around, you see eight men carrying maces and crossbows marching towards the mead hall.
"Well, that can't be good,"Olivessa says.

"Do you know them?" Qinfaren asks. "Are they reasonable people?"
Though marching on town hall with weapons in this peaceful little village seems to already give Qinfaren the answer he's looking for.
He follows after Ricky and when he catches up to the halfling he bends down and rests a hand briefly on his shoulder, letting energy from the ground race up through Qinfaren and into his new companion.
Qinfaren gives Ricky Guidance in case he can use the extra boost to persuade his fellow villagers to calm down if they need to.
Bàn sends Owl off following the men to keep an eye on them from a distance. He himself follows Ricky out the door, pulling his whip loose in preparation of possibly being needed, and uses Thaumaturgy to call out "HALT AND EXPLAIN YOURSELVES!" in a booming voice three times louder than he could naturally make.
The men continue to march on the mead hall ignoring the group approaching them from the side. Before anyone can reach them, the enter the mead hall.
Bjorn stops in his tracks, "Wait, we need to be careful here. We can't go rushing into that hall. I can only suspect that there are good folk already in that hall. If we enter the hall without caution an all out battle could break out and we could be putting bystanders at risk.
Qinfaren, how do you feel about sneaking into the hall and finding out just what the situation is in there?"

“Aren’t them bystanders you’re talking about at risk by the angry mob anyway?” Bàn asks, rushing to the hall but not yet entering. If there was no gap or open window or such apparent for Owl to get in through, Bàn will take a moment to poof the familiar back to it’s pocket dimension and then to poof it back into existence inside the hall, up near the roof.
“Can at least get eyes on what is going on,” Bàn explains. If nothing new occurs, he’ll then steady himself against the outside wall of the hall and send his senses into Owl so he can see and hear what’s going on…

Qinfaren nods at Bjorn and steps to the hall, quickly using Wild Shape to transform into a small shaggy spider. He slips through any crack in the door jam and quickly moves up the walls of the inside of the hall to remain out of crushing range and to see what's going on without attracting attention.
Bjorn shakes his head, "I don't think that's such a good idea. Owl would be too noticeable."
Qinfaren shifts into a spider and begins making his way up the wall of the hall. A couple of feet from the bottom, he sees a crevice in the wall that is just big enough for him to squeeze through. Unfortunately, he is not stealthy enough, and a woman screams at the sight of a spider.
(@Kaemgen, You can dismiss and resummon Owl within the hall.)

Qinfaren The Spider looks at the screaming woman and wonders why she's screaming. He keeps moving higher to get a better look at what's happening inside the room.
The screaming grabs the attention of the armed men, who look over and see the woman pointing at a spider climbing the wall. However, they decide to ignore her.
Qinfaren, you see that the room has a small group of five villagers forced to the floor. Around them are the armed men who appear just to be standing around. You are not sure what they are trying to do.
