"Never thought I would say this," Shad says, "but the Icebreaker is warmer than Fireshear. Or at least my hammock there is." Shad stomps his feet and jumps in place to stay warm. "Might even be some liquor aboard, Arogna. Rum or something."
"Probably, Shad, but it's not just the drink I'm after," says Arogna. "I had a mind to sit in a tavern by a fire with all of you for a bit. I always see it as that's the way you should start out when meeting new people, you know? Just doesn't feel right else, somehow. I don't know why. The ship will do, though." She shrugs, and looks at Qinfaren again, "Unless your mind's set on talking to that idiot in the forge."
“I say we go onboard and find a cozy spot where we can have our food and drinks. The sooner we leave this Duskloch worm behind, the better.”
Then gives a look at Qinfaren and Bjorn, then looks at his own feet, rises his gaze again at the towering pair and says “I’m sorry lads, if you feel like you need to go tell him, I understand. Damn it, I will even come with you if you ask me!” Adjusts his belt “But this dwarf is not putting one foot inside his forge.”
"I believe we have to try to warn him at least. Whether he decides to stay and face the mob or leave is up to him, but I will at least try. Go on ahead I'll will make haste," Bjorn will start walking back to the forge, waiting for Qinfaren if the firblog chooses to go as well.

After listening to Bjorn's words and watching him turn around and start walking back into the town, Muharg takes a look at the rising smoke columns, the turns his gaze towards the Icebreaker and finally at Arogna.
Takes one deep inhale, his nostrils flaring, holds his breath for a couple of seconds until he finally releases the air with a noisy exasperated sigh, almost a grunt, as he shakes his head and starts walking after the goliath.
"Wait for me you stubborn soft-heart, you're going to get yourself killed if there are still some of those annoying flying critters roaming around..."
Qinfaren listens carefully to what the others have said, especially Arogna. It's a lot for him to take in at once. He spends so much of the year on his own wandering the quiet valleys and hills of his homeland that he can still get a little overwhelmed by spending a lot of time with others.
"Arogna, I think I understand what you mean, and why you would not go back now. But where I come from, to let someone be killed for carelessness and damage to some buildings would be the same as being a murderer yourself and I would be exiled from my people. I will not ask you to come, but I hope you understand why I must try to reason with Griggle."
With a deep exhaling of breath, Qinfaren turns and joins Bjorn and Muharg on the way back to Griggle's forge. Without mephits to deal with, he hopes the trip will be much faster than last time.
Qinfaren, Bjorn and Muharg start heading back east along the route they have now travelled twice. As they walk back they notice that the fires have now gone out. There are no more fires continuing on after the death of the mephits.
Eventually, the party of three finds themselves in the market place where they encountered the four smoke mephits.
(DM Note: Make a Perception check)
Lennart turns to Arogna, "If you plan on grabbing drink before continuing on our voyage you better head there now. But I would keep my head down if I was you. The people of Fireshear are already on the edge if they have not already jumped off. If they spot you they might start questioning you. At any rate, you best not convey the knowledge of what your three campatriots are doing. They may not react in our best interest to such news.

"Alright, Mr. Bassk," replies Arogna, trying to control her scowl. She looks at Shad, "What'll you do? Follow after them, or go and get warm and find a drink?" She shakes her head. "It's not going to be good if any more of those things show up. They shouldn't have gone back. Knew they would, though."
Qinfaren seems out of his depth with this plant. Too far from home he thinks to himself. But he settles down again and looks at the plant and tries to determine if there is anything unnatural about it.
"Strange, but probably not unheard off I believe. We have our fair share of evergreens out north afterall. It does seem that the mephits are gone for good." Bjorn says in response.

Shad watches Qinfaren, Bjorn, and Muharg. He smacks his lips for a moment, trying to decide on how thirsty he is. "The forge," he says, "was actually pretty warm!" He looks toward it, or its direction anyway, then smiles. "Tell you what, Arogna, let's make a game out of this little melodramatic tragedy of theirs! We'll sneak up on them! 'Off to save the poor blacksmith?' It will be hilarious when we jump out on them!"
If Aronga is willing, Shad will use Blessing of the Trickster. He'll use Stealth himself:18 and follow the other three.

Blessing of the Trickster: As an action you can touch a willing creature other than yourself to give it advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks for 1 hour or until you use this feature again.

He pushes around in the snow and soil of the stall a little more to see if he there is anything else that might reveal the source of the magic flower.
