"When you're ready, we'd love to hear," Shad says to Atenas before he slides into the store as well. He is, as usual, looking for the gear that will keep him warmest and also for climbing equipment. "Torvin, where did you meet the kobolds?" he says as he looks around the shop.
Arogna heads in through the doorway, trying to hold herself politely and not take up too much space, and looks around at the goods. "We gettin' them pi-tons?"
Qinfaren meanders through the store, helping to look for climbing gear, though he's not entirely sure what that would look like. Something metal he imagines.
While he walks around, he keeps an ear open to Torvin's conversation.
"Did they find a white dragon?" Qinfaren asks. "I'd love to meet a dragon. Maybe not a white one, but if that was my only chance, I could live with it."
He also makes his way to wherever this Jarthra person might be, a counter maybe, and asks "Do you have any maps of the area? We're making our way to Ragged, or Regged, or Reghed or something Glacier. Would be nice to know what the easiest route was."
"Did they find a white dragon? No, but they did find me," Torvin continues. "Anyway, so I had been travelling for some time and had run out of food..."
After you enter the shop a dwarf man comes out from a backroom in the shop.
"Welcome, how might I assist you? Is there anything I can help you with? Pitons, and rope? How many pitons would you like, and how much rope?"

"At least another fifty feet of rope for me," Shad says to the male dwarf. He lowers his voice. "Are pitons the ones that go on your feet? Or are those crampons? How much do crampons cost? How much do five pitons cost? Will you take daggers in trade?"
He is also listening to Torvin. "Wait. What do Kobolds eat? Is it a tasty treat? Or nasty?"
"And maps to the glacier, please," Qinfaren adds to Shad's list. "Do they have any hot springs on the way? That would be a nice spot to relax. And maybe find something green growing. All this ice and snow is starting to wear me out a little."
Qinfaren continues looking around the shop.
"You never know when a magical staff will show up," he says to Shad.
"Jus' a bunch a food," Arogna says, peeking in her somewhat light coin pouch. "I can throw in a few coins for climbin' stuff an' all, Shad. An' some bath herbs for the hot spring, right?" she laughs to Qinfaren. "You never knows your luck."
OOC: Shad, Arogna will pay for the climbing gear and rope if you don't have enough.
"Crampons are what you fit to your boots, and cost two gold pieces for a pair. Pitons are what you use for a handhold and cost five copper pieces each, or two silver pieces for five."
"but I had noticed that this group of kobolds had plenty of provisions and that's when I had an idea."
"I don't have any maps, but if you want to get to Reghed glacier, just head northeast from Caer-Konig follow the trail, don't go up any hills or mountains, and you will be fine. Or if you prefer you can hire Jarthra and he can take you up there."
"I decided to appear in front of the kobolds, they were startled at first..."
"We do have a climber's kit."
"It will cost you twenty-five gold pieces though."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Arogna," Shad says, "I'm happy to contribute toward a climbers' kit also. As Bjorn suggests, we should buy one. I might be able to manage to some degree with my claws, but more rope wouldn't hurt."
Shad will take bundle from one of the deep pockets in one of his coats. He will unroll it on the counter. "Also, Atenas, my friend, I'm willing to trade from my outstanding dagger collection." He will try and persuade the merchant that this is a good idea: Persuasion 22
"Or perhaps with a good enough guide, we can avoid serious climbing all together?"
(OOC: Is Jarthra the man who was smoking the pipe?)
Bjorn would dig through his coin poch to count the coin he has. Twenty-Five gold, that was half his fortune. The goliath thinks long and hard before counting out the coin with a sigh, if it was going to help them with their task then it was worth it, "Twenty-Five you said? I'll take it."

Jarthra disappears into the back leaving you all standing there for a moment whilst Atenas continues Torvin continues with his story.

At the moment Jarthra returns with a bag containing the climber's kit and places it on the counter.
"There you go."

"They believed you, Torvin? You do have a commanding presence," Shad says. "So, how long did you stay with them? Did they take good care of you?" He rolls his dagger collection back up and ties a knot around it.
"Jarthra," he says, "tell us about the trail to the glacier. Yetis?" Shad says.
Muharg nods along Tharvis's story, not paying much attention to the shopping endeavors. "Oh, by the way, lads, count me in if we need to contribute in the purchase of whatever we might need..." He then takes a look at the counter. "Wait, are we buying climbing equipment? Atenas, Jarthra, do you think we'll need it on our way to the glacier? We need to pass through Caer Konig again before going to Calvin's Cairn if we finally have to, right?"
He then thinks for a moment. "We could also invest in healing consumables. Atenas do you have any means of healing?"

Torvin and Atenas raise an eyebrow at Bjorn and mouth the world 'table'.
After Qinfaren heads into the store, Atenas gestures to the rest of you, "Please come on in, and feel free to see our wares for yourself."
"Well, the kobolds I encountered up in the mountains not far from here... you see they were looking for a white dragon to serve..."

"Red dragon, for me," he says. "That's the kind I'd die to meet." He listens to himself, what he's just said, and smiles. "Probably literally!"
