"This is the first time I've ever seen one," Qinfaren says. "My first impression though is that they're not native to the area and are going to cause a lot of harm if they're let to run loose."
He thinks a moment longer.
"We can try and beat them off, but they do have the advantage, being able to fly and all. Maybe if we find out how they got here first we would be able to send them away."
"The lady did say that the mephits are not touching the forge. That forge as some of you have already said could well be the source of these creatures," Bjorn looks upon the destruction in shock. He could only imagine the devastation it would wrought if the same befell his own village. He draws his longbow and makes ready to take aim, "Ranged weapons may be our best bet. At least chase them away and save the houses for now, then look for a permanent solution."

Muharg throws his javelin through the air and manages to strike one of the mephits. Magma drips out of the wound caused by the tip of the javelin. It turns its attention towards the direction of the javelin flew from.
However, Arogna's javelin misses its target as the mephit moves to burn another building.
Fortunately, Bjorn's aim is true and his arrow flies through the air and hits the third mephit. The arrow embed into the creature, but it burns up after being exposed to the creatures magma.
Now you fully have the attention of the mephits.

Shad says, "I feel you've been Blessed by The Cat Lord, fickle deity though he is." From behind Qinfaren, he will cast Toll the Dead on the mephit Bjorn hit. (WIS save with a DC of 12 for 1 damage.)

If the Mephit are within 5' of the ground, Qinfaren will move into take a swipe at one with his staff, but it sounded like they were flying above the top of the buildings, and if that's the case, there's not much he can do but stand and watch and just be ready in case one of them comes lower.
(If within melee range, action will be attack: Attack: 24 Damage: 6 magical bludgeoning damage or if they are not within range his action will be to Dodge )

I should have asked earlier, but how do you do ammunition in this game @TheBritGeek? Do we assume we have enough ammo or do we keep track of number of arrows, bolts, etc.
