Bjorn shrugs his shoulders at Qinfaren's words and begins emptying the trunk.
Qinfaren unravels the scroll to find the following on it Dwarvish numerals.
However, as the last item from the trunk is removed, a trap is sprung. The stone visage above the bed opens its mouth. A moment later, a cloud of poisonous gas belches out filling the room.

Bjorn takes a big wheeze of the gas and begins coughing and spluttering. He begins to stagger about.
Bàn pulls his cloak over his mouth to protect him from the poison gas or whatever and rushes in to pull Qinfaren out of the cloud. Once done he casts Healing Word and Qinfaren recovers 4 whole hit points... "No dying yet!" Bàn assures him. "Not to some stupid trap..."

Leading the way, Qinfaren returns to the main passage, heading east. After walking for eighty feet, Qinfaren finds two doors to the north and a portcullis to the south.
"Hey, that duergar said that one of the ways down would be through the central shaft. Do you reckon it could be behind this portcullis?"

Opening the doors, Qinfaren finds a dining hall. Three braziers heaped with glowing hot coals illuminate and heat this long hall. At the eastern end is a hexagonal stone table surrounded by six stone chairs. Seated in the chair facing the door is a haggard old duergar with long black hair streaked with ribbons of white and fingernails like shards of iron. She is devouring a hearty buffet of cooked meats, mushrooms, and strange Underdark fare. Lurking next to her is a small mechanical dragon made of a shiny black substance.
"Hope we're not too late for dinner," Bàn says in Dwarvish. "We're all famished and could use something warm to eat. I'm Bàn and these are my companions Qinfaren and Bjorn... We're pleased to accept your dinner invitation." Bàn says it all with a smile and a charade of calm politeness, taking a couple steps in towards a seat...

Qinfaren collapses to the ground, gagging, then stops breathing.

Qinfaren coughs and sputters and pulls himself up.
"Thank you," he finally says to Bàn.
He looks around the room and now that the trap is triggered he looks into the chest again as well to make sure they haven't missed anything.
(I assume that Qinfaren will wait until the gas has dispersed.)
Bjorn, seeing that Bàn has rescued Qinfaren, attempts to leave the room before he too collapses.
(Con save: 14)
This time he resists the effects of the poisonous gas and leaves the room.
Once the gas has cleared, Qinfaren heads back into the room, with Bjorn following close behind to gather all of the items from the trunk.
"That was a nasty trap," Bjorn remarks. "We'd best be careful in the future."

"Okay we should keep looking around and maybe find this Grandolphaf." Qinfaren says.
He heads back to the main passage way and heads east.

"That duergar was a shaft," Bàn grumbles. Still, he heads over to the portcullis and takes a look at what he can see behind it...
While Bàn checks out whats behind the portcullis, Qinfaren checks out the two doors to the north, listening for any sounds from the other side.
Perception: 11
Drawing closer to the portcullis, Bàn feels heat rising on the other side. He peers down and sees that there a shaft leading down.
Meanwhile, Qinfaren hears voices on the other side of the two doors.

(So, the choice is either go through the doors or try to open the portcullis.)

Doors are a more immediate threat... Bàn turns and readies for them to open.
Qinfaren looks back to see Bàn ready. He pushes open the doors, ready for anything.
