Qinfaren - 2 hit dice - 10 ; 11 and uses Natural Recovery to get a Level 2 spell slot back.
Qinfaren gets up and gathers his gear.
"Oh, by the way," Qinfaren begins. "Have you seen the sons here as well? Some of us have encountered both of them before. One stole our dogs. It would be nice to talk to him about that."
Grandolpha chuckles, "Military might? I have no military might. We Muzgardt specialise in brewing this draught. Sure there are those loyal to me within this fortress, but I do not yet have enough to overthrow Xardorok Sunblight."
When asked about his sons Grandolpha reples, "I have seen his sons coming and going. I do not know if they are currently here or within the surface dweller settlements."

"She has no military might," Bàn points out once back in the hallway. "Perhaps we should kill them so she cannot betray us for whoever does have the military might around here. I'm not sure it's the wisest course to leave a trail of duergar behind us alive and healthy and knowing our destination..."
“I think she was being honest. And if we keep being honest, we can’t take out an entire fortress. But if her followers keep out of it, then maybe we have a chance at stopping what’s going on here.”
"Well, she might not have any military," Bjorn replies to Bàn. "But it seems that she does have guards. Do you not remember those cooks who reached out for weapons when we first entered the room? I don't think it wise for us to pick a fight with everyone here."
Moving further along, Qinfaren finds that there are three more rooms not yet explored on this level. Doors lead to the north, east, and south.

Qinfaren gives a listen to each door, tapping into the power flowing through the mountain to help give guidance to his senses (Perception: North: 22 plus 4 ; East: 8 plus 4 ; South: 13 plus 1 ).
"Was hoping my spell would at least have a chance of working but I'm all but tapped out anyway," Bàn grumbles. "Not sure how the rest of you are feeling but that bit of a rest only did so much for me. I don't have much stores left so whatever we're hoping to accomplish here better not be too tough."
At the north door, Qinfaren hears the sound of someone moving around behind the door. However, behind the other two doors, he fails to hear anything on the other side.

Qinfaren indicates the doorway with noise behind it.
"Someone's in there. Should I open it, or sneak under and see who's in there first?" Qinfaren whispers. Then he adds to Bàn, "Maybe we'll find somewhere in here we can hole up in for a longer rest."
"We're here now, may as well go for broke and try to accomplish our goal here," Bàn suggests. "Wouldn't mind Owl back but they were never one much for indoors anyway. We could always just knock..."
The sound of Qinfaren's knocks at the door echo around in the room inside. However, there is no reply. The door is not opened. Instead, inside the room, it now seems quiet. Almost as if the room itself is holding its breath.

Prestidigitation lights the unlit braziers. "I thought you heard something in there?" Bàn asks. Not annoyed but stressed a bit, he had been on edge in case something jumped out at them...
"Did I know that?" Bàn asks himself silently and tries to look a little harder to see the invisible people. Bàn than repeats what Qin said in Dwarvish...
(Bàn did encounter an invisible duergar upon first arriving at the fortress.)
Despite Qinfaren's best efforts he sees no movement in the room, and hears no reply. However, the lit braziers do shine light on the stone trunk in the room.

"Grandolpha sent us," Bàn explains as he approaches the door. "She said she needs helpers now. Something about being in danger. We offered to help but, go figure, she didn't trust us..." He walks in with his arms spread comically as if he was blind rather than them invisible...

Qinfaren looks over at his companions and nods.
”Guess we should keep taking a look around.”
He thanks their host for the meal and company and heads back into the hallway to see what doorways they haven’t checked yet.

Qinfaren raises an eyebrow, not having contemplated just knocking.
"You're right. It could be one of Grandolpha's supporters."
He reaches out and knocks on the door.

"Little pigs, little pigs, let us in..." Bàn murmurs and uses Thaumaturgy to cause the door (if unlocked) to fly open.
Upon the casting of Bàn's spell, the door flies open. This dark chamber contains a plain stone bed, a stone trunk, and four unlit braziers.

Qinfaren looks at Bàn and says "They can turn invisible."
Qinfaren concentrate for a moment to give himself guidance and then listens carefully for any indication of where the person inside the room might be.
