"By the Abyss," Shad says to himself. He knew things lived in the water (Weird!), but he thought they were mostly small tasty fish. Whatever he was looking at was big. Really big. He is going to have to ask someone with more experience with this water stuff about it. Shad starts down the mast.
When he gets to the deck, he'll grab the most sea-bitten looking sailor, but someone who also has authority. "When I climbed the mast just now, I saw some kind of huge behemoth in the water! Let me show you!" he says.
Qinfaren manages to escape Captain Silvermane's hands and squeeze through a gap in the wood work.
The sailor turns an eyebrow to Shad as he listens to the tabaxi, "I take it you're not familiar with the seas? Anyway, there are many creatures that swim in the seas that you might call a behemoth. Shakes, whales, giant octopuses, dragon turtles and more. Most of the time there's nothing to worry about. Besides they prefer the deeper parts of the ocean, they don't come this close to shore."

Qinfaren the Spider darts out through the gap in the wood and makes his way quickly to a shadowed nook. He looks around to make sure no one is looking and changes back into himself and then quickly goes over to join Shad by the mast, breathing hard from the fast run at the end, but feeling delighted that he was able to hold the spider shape the whole time.
"What did you see, Shad?" he asks as he catches the end of the conversation. He also looks around to the Captain's door and waves at Muharg.
Seeing Qinfaren with Shad at the mast waving, Arogna skips over some of the remaining details of Uncle Grog's adventure, and completes the song after a further three or four verses, with a triumphant shout of "Hoy!" She stands up from her squatting position. "Glad you liked it, anyhow," she remarks to Bjorn. "You'd think sailors would appreciate a good song." She looks to see if any of the crew are applauding.
"It was big shape, moving in the dark, out at sea," Shad says to Qinfaren. Shad looks at him for a long moment, then glances around, especially at the sailor, and turns to the crew member. He wants to ask about being a spider, but will wait. "Well, okay," says Shad says to the sailor. "We are close, but not close enough, to the shore. Nothing huge is going to stand up out of the water?"
Qinfaren looks around to make sure no one is near by to overhear.
"Our captain is a rather neat and tidy man," he says and then thinks about it for a moment. "No, not a lot of mess in there at all. Couple of chests, a few maps, and a lot of books. More books than I think I've ever seen actually. And there was an awful lot of gold in one of his chests."
He pauses and looks around some more.
"But no, I didn't find out anything. Except someone on this ship knows magic and was able to set some sort of alarm. But why we can't leave the ship tonight, I have no idea."
Muharg adjusts his belt and goes "Captain, sir. Since you don't need our help, and the intrusion in your cabin doesn't appear to be anything serious, I'll go back on deck if I may." Then nods sharply at the captain turns around and sets off for the deck and gets to the rest of the group.
"That was some good sneaking Qinfaren! Did you notice anything?"
"Well, look," replies the crew member to Shad. "I cannot see anything out there now. I can't see anything out there now. So whatever it was has probably long gone by now."
Shortly after that the rest of Icebreaker crew and Luskar Deliverers begin to retire to their cabins, leaving you and the night crew left standing out on deck.

"Should we set our own watch up on deck tonight?" suggests Arogna. "Just subtle like. I'd sleep up here, but it's too damn cold. Hate to be stuck in a cabin if something goes down."
Qinfaren almost starts towards the captain's cabin. He's started to feel bad about deceiving the captain and making him search his room for intruders. But it's getting late. He'd sleep on it and ask the others for their opinion in the morning. There are more pressing issues at the moment.
"Maybe we should just ask the captain to set up his little alarm system around the cabins too." Qinfaren suggests. "Then we could all get a good night's sleep."
He thinks about it a bit longer.
"Maybe we shouldn't bother the captain tonight. He seemed a little agitated earlier. I think maybe he drinks too much," Qinfaren add. "What if we set up watch outside the cabins? The crew looks to be on watch up here."
"That's a good point Qinfaren" Muharg nods in agreement. "However, I imagine there was some crew watching the other night when something went overboard, and it still happened... Maybe the one of us on watch can patrol back and forth from the deck to the cabins?"
Shad looks at the crew member, the mast, the railing of the ship. He kind of wishes for a spy glass, but it is dark. Listening to the plans for setting up a watch, he agrees. "Muharg, wake me when your watch is done," he says. "I'll nap until then." Shad makes his way down to his hammock and large ball of blankets piled on it. He is quickly resting.
"I don't have much experience with watches on the like," Qinfaren says. "I usually just lay my head down near the fire and asked the animals to keep an eye on things while I slept. Not so many animals around here."
He follows after Shad.
"Wake me when your watch is over. I can take the third one."
"Guess we're covered then. Thanks," says Arogna. "Go ahead and wake me up if you need some more muscle for anything, or help staying awake. I hope I'll just see you all in the morning, though." She heads for her cabin.

Muharg wishes everyone good night as they go below deck to the cabin. He then starts wandering about on the ship’s deck, occasionally leaning on the railing and going downstairs to check the cabins area in regular intervals.
Muharg spends some time investigating around the Icebreaker. Most of the candle lit lanterns have now been extinguished, providing even less light than before. For a long while nothing happens and everything is peaceful. Then towards the end of Muharg's time at watch, he notices someone lurking in the shadows, heading towards the cabins.

Just double checking I'm assuming this right: It is night time and we are currently moored in Ice Peak port, but not allowed to disembark.
