Arogna is not sure whether the crewmember has correctly understood her report, since his face looked a bit odd. But the praise from her team-mates reassures her that it was indeed a good report. She grins at Qinfaren's very practical assessment, and heads with the others to the tavern.
His drink getting to him, Bjorn finally realizes that he is only supposed to pick up the armor on the next morning and returns to rejoin his companions. "So what did the captain say?"

"He weren't there. But I give him a good report," Arogna says proudly. "We can spend the night at the tavern. Gotta be back by late morning to sail. So better not drink so much it's hard to wake up."
Qinfaren opens the door to Green Hall and leads the way in, hoping to find some chairs near a fire.
"Do you think the local jailer will be able to contain a wererat for very long?" he asks the others. "I hope she won't hold a grudge. She really should just move on from Rool."
“To be perfectly honest, I’ve never experienced such a mind-clouding love. It must be intense, huh?” Starts Muharg.
He then takes a sip of his ale and goes on. “Not that I envy the part where one looses his own mind and goes around blindly trying to kill anyone who steps between them and their lover, but in a way, I’d like to feel such an intense love for someone sometime.”
He takes a bite at the roasted fish on his plate. “That being said, I agree with you big friend, I really do hope she gets to get over it at some point.” Wipes his mouth and beard with a napkin “Sooner than later hopefully.”
Shad takes the same chair he had earlier. Puts his feet up. He sets his herbal tea on the arm of his chair and the plate of warmed, but not cooked, fish on his chest. "Ah yes, love," he says. "More fickle than the Cat Lord themselves. And as likely to cause bloodshed." He thinks for a moment. "I've no idea how or if the town will be able to restrain a wererat. Perhaps if her heart is broken."
"Waste of bloody time, if you ask me," comments Arogna. "Makes people act dumb, or jealous, or both. S'like findin' a wolf cub. It's all fluff an' tumbles at first. But if you go keepin' it and feedin' it, like the rat-woman did, it gets bigger an' bigger an' more dangerous, an' one day someone gets hurt. Best if you don't start feedin' it in the first place." She gulps her mug of ale. "Stupid business."
Arogna pays for her room, her substantial dinner, and a number of drinks. She appears to have forgotten the advice she gave out earlier about not drinking too much, but on the plus side, she has not attempted to start a fight. "Wake me inna morning," she slurs to the bartender. "Not too early like." She heads upstairs, hoping that her sleep is not interrupted, although looking at the state of her, it seems it would be very hard to do that.
"No, it's not. However, as with most places this far north, it for those who seek refuge from the rest of the world. Whether they are escaping the laws of the cities, outsiders or otherwise forgotten, if a life on the sea is not for them, they will head north."

"A life on the sea or heading north into the cold. What options!" Shad says, but he feels The Cat Lord tugging him toward the Ten Towns even as he speaks. He will pay for his room and clear his tab. "We're couriers currently. How else do people earn their keep here? Mapmaking?"
Bjorn would pay for his room and then offers an answer to Shad's question, "Trapping, hunting, gathering and the like. The folk of the Ten-Towns are mostly fishermen though. Knucklehead trout fetch a tidy sum."

Muharg also pays for his room, drinks and food, and adds to Bjorn answer. “On a side note, a life at the sea is not that bad once you get used to all the yawing, rolling and pitching. It teaches you to think ahead of time, to always be alert, and to appreciate the moments of peace. Besides, I think it also gives one a nice tan... if your skin is exposed, that is.”
He the looks at Shad’s expression “Also, lots of fish.” Shrugs with a smile and heads to his bedroom for the night.
"Well, yes, there is the fish," Shad says. He licks his lips and touches his stomach. "Knucklehead trout you say, Bjorn?" Shad is headed up toward his room as well, talking as he goes. "Have to try some tomorrow!" He will curl up on his bed for the night.
Qinfaren goes a long with the others, slipping a few coins to the innkeeper and then heading upstairs to get a night's sleep where he doesn't have to be curled up in a ship size bunk. At the very least he can rest his legs on the floor here.
The place is quiet in the night. Though you do hear a wind blowing past during the night. In the morning, you wake to hear voices coming from downstairs.

Qinfaren stretches as he pulls himself up out of the bed, careful not to bang his head as he does. He quickly dresses, grabs his gear and heads downstairs to find the others, and breakfast.

As you continue to talk the other patrons begin to head home as the fire starts to die in the fire place.

“Maybe it’s time we ask for rooms, huh?” Muharg asks as he stands up and and walks towards the bar.
He then asks the person at the bar ”Excuse me, friend. Would it be possible to have some rooms for the night for my friends and myself?”

The barkeep smiles warmly before replying, "That will be five silver pieces per room."

He then turns to the bartender.
”This island is a harsh home with so much ice and snow. What brings people to carve out a place for themselves here? It cannot be easy.”
