Cade follows the small trail a short distance, seeing if it leads off in a particular direction, but not wishing to go too far as he doesn't feel like facing a host of other goblins on his own.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lorahzt steps up beside Lia and glares down at the goblin with murderous intent. If this idiot and his band hurt Gundren... "If you have any sense, you will tell the elf lady everything she wants to know, now."
, Ologu will walk over to the first goblin archer, the one he nearly cut in half lengthwise and lifts the carcass up for his fellow archer to see. He shouts loud enough for the goblin to hear,
The goblin is obviously startled by Ologu's intimidating presence. "Okay, okay," the goblin says frantically. "We took your friends up to our hideout, just down that trail," pointing in the direction where Cade is traveling. "Then Chief Klarg took the dwarf to the castle on King Grol's orders. Said something about a Black Spider. Your human friend is still there, in the eating cave. I can take you there if you wish. Or kill me, and good luck finding your friend and saving him on your own."
Cade, as you push your way through the thicket, the trail keeps going on as far as you can see. You notice footprints that surmise that about a dozen goblins have come and gone down the trail, as well as signs of two humanoid figures being dragged away along the trail. Do you want to stay put and wait for the rest of the party or do you want to return to report the trail?
Lia looks around the group, and if there are no objections she says, “Fine!”.
She ties the rest of her rope around the goblin’s waist, and leaves a long enough end to be a short leash. She also unties their feet but keeps their hands tied behind their back.
”Lead the way then... And any funny business, and I can’t be held responsible for my friends here!... ... What’s your name anyway?”.
She loops the end of the leash around her hand once or twice and stands, waiting for the others and for the goblin to take the lead.
((OOC: can I assume we’ve looted all the goblins? Did we find anything of use? Lia has taken this one’s weapons and shield and left them on the wagon))
"Trail found." He says in his clearly unused voice. "Can follow easily..." he glances to the goblin. Surmising the others are preparing to use him to lead them down the trail, he shrugs and nods for them to go ahead.
Lia nods at Cade's return, and his news of the trail.
Then she says, ”Good plan!” to Ologu. She tears a bit of cloth from the goblin’s own clothing and gags them so they can’t shout out. “Can someone hide the wagon just off the road? And tie the oxen to a tree near some grass to eat?”.
Cade shrugs and moves to the animals. He leads them off the path and tries to place them where they won't be seen easily by those traveling past. (Let me know if you want any sort of roll for this...)
Cade, no roll is required. The forest is thick enough that the wagon can be concealed easily enough.
Lia, yes, it is assumed that you all are able to loot the dead goblins. During this time, you also match the arrows of the bow-wielding goblins to the ones that killed the horses.
“Nix,” says the goblin. “My name is Nix. Not that that is relevant information.” She hesitantly allows herself to be restrained by Lia’s makeshift leash and heads out along the trail.
When everyone is ready, Cade will follow after the goblin on a leash, walking near the one holding the leash. he keeps an eye out for anything of concern, and moves as quietly as he can...
Ologu will bring up the rear, guarding our flanks. He will alternate readying his greatsword and or javelins depending on the thickness of the trees. If we approach a clearing, he readies his javelins, when the trees are thick, he readies his greatsword. He also knows his chainmail can be quite noisy, so being in back might be advantageous, as well. He will try to be stealthy while still perceptive.
His short legs pumping away, Thror keeps pace with the rest of the party. Not trusting the goblin that leads them, the dwarf's eyes constantly dart about, looking for any sign of danger among the trees.

Life gives you lemons, make lemonade, life gives you a sword? You make corpses of your enemies, sorcery is a good sword life has given you. (Stolen from friend)
After about ten minutes of walking along the trail, you all notice a snare hanging overhead from a nearby tree. Nix walks over and easily disarms the snare.
After another ten minutes, Cade and Lia are able to notice another trap - a camoflauged pit in the middle of a trail. Cade and Lia are able to point out the trap to the others, and you all continue walking.
Lia:
Nix seems to want to cooperate, but knowing the evil nature of goblins, you have a suspicion that she might turn on the party sooner or later.
Following the goblins’ trail, you come across a large cave in a hillside five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream.
"Well, here we are," says Nix in a hushed voice. "Just as you were promised." She signals to you to keep quiet. What do you all wish to do?
“Let’s ask Nix what we can expect before endangering a scout, first.” Ologu suggests. He will place the tip of a javelin at the throat of Nix before the gag is removed. With a free hand, he will hold his index finger over his tusked mouth and quietly go “Shhhhhh”.
Readies an action to puncture the throat and gag any noise should Nix raise her voice too loudly.
Cade follows the small trail a short distance, seeing if it leads off in a particular direction, but not wishing to go too far as he doesn't feel like facing a host of other goblins on his own.

Lia hunkers down alongside Nix and gestures to the party to get down and stay quiet.
She grabs a little water and dried meat from her pack and offers it to Nix. “Thanks, Nix”, she whispers with a respectful nod to the goblin.
She looks back to the group. “What do you think?” she asks quietly, “Sneak in?”.
