Lorahzt looks after the fleeing goblin with a Drow curse on the tip of her tongue. She looks towards the cave and readies her longbow, hoping to get a clean shot on the little monster if it tries to flee to its comrades.

Lia nocks another arrow, and levels it calmly at the other goblin over by Cade...

She suspects someone will beat her to it, but if no one takes the creature down she’ll make sure to fire at least once before it has a chance to get away...

(The goblin is going towards the cave, possibly to alert other goblins of your presence.)

Sally flies deeper into the cave, following the stream to a large set of twin pools, noticing several goblins here and there, but nothing much other than that. Arame, as Sally flies back towards you, you notice Nix still kicking in her restraints.

Everyone who hasn't taken an action, feel free to do so in any order.

IF Ologu is convinced that Nix can’t break free, he will hurl (assuming his place in initiative is reached) a javelin (at disadvantage presuming the fleeing goblin is more than 30’ away). IF he is not convinced, he will not take his attention away from Nix and Arame’ who appears defenseless.

As Lia raises her bow and aims, a javelin whistles past her towards the retreating goblin.

At the same time, she hears Nix kicking about, and twisting against her restraints. She relaxes her bow and slings it over her shoulder.

She turns to Nix. She can’t allow the goblin to give their position away. Fast as lightning she lashes out twice with her fists, trying to quickly knock the poor creature unconscious again (advantage due to Nix being restrained):

Seeing the goblin fleeing and possibly going to alert the inhabitants of the cave, Thror quickly releases the arcane energy he has been holding. A beam of cold energy streaks towards the goblin, hoping to take it out or at least slow it down.

As Sally lands on Arame's shoulder, she immediately opens her eyes and perceives what is going on around her.  Before she can quieten Nix, she sees several others aiming at a goblin that is getting perilously close to the cave where it could alert the others of their presence. 

Without even thinking, she mutters, 'Something fiery your way comes.'  as she casts Firebolt. 

Ologu's javelin strikes true at the fleeing goblin, piercing it deep into its side, before Thror's frost ray immobilizes it, leaving it dead on the ground.

Lia's unarmed strikes hit their mark as Nix falls unconscious again.

The stream leads the way into the cave. What do you all want to do?

After Lia knocks Nix unconscious again, she checks (and re-checks) the bindings tying her to the tree, and the gag around her mouth.

Then she turns to Arame just in time to see Sally return and the firebolt screech towards the last goblin! “Nice magic!” she says “And who’s this?!” she asks, reaching up to tickle Sally under her chin.

"What are we going to do with Nix? Should one of us, perhaps one of us that does not have darkvision, stay behind and guard her?"

Ologu glances to the mouth of the cave and makes a mental note to retrieve his javelin before entering the cave.

Arame answers Lia, "This is Sally, she's my familiar."  She smiles, pleased that her firebolt seemed to hit its mark.

Then she glances at Ologu. "I don't have dark vision, I can stay here with Nix.  When you go into the cave following the stream, you'll see two pools of water and a goblin here and there. They don't seem to be aware that anything is amiss. You might be able to take them by surprise, one by one. We really need to find out where that castle Gundren was taken to is."

Lia is already in love with Sally “She’s adorable!”.

Then she chips in, “I’m not so comfortable leaving one of the party out here, especially with goblins hiding here, there, and everywhere! We’ve already been ambushed twice... Nix is bound, gagged and unconscious. I think she’s out for the count now. I say we just stick together”.

She turns back to Arame, “If Sally sit’s on your shoulders can you see through her eyes again, to enable you to see in the dark?”

Lia turns to Ologu, “Safety in numbers I say. I don’t want to leave Arame behind. And she has powerful magics! We might need her abilities”.

Ologu nods at Lia.

"I got the distinct impression that Nix will no longer cooperate. Even if she knows the location of the castle that holds Gundren, I doubt she'll reveal it. I think our answer to that mystery is contained in that cave." Ologu points to the cave. "So, do we trust the binds that hold her? She must not be allowed to either sneak up behind us nor scamper off to alert Chief Klarg or King Grol that a rescue attempt is being made. That might get Gundren killed faster, assuming he's still alive."

“Hmm... I think you might be right, Master Ologu” Lia gives Ologu a polite bow of the head “I too get the same feelings of betrayal from Nix myself”.

((OOC: @DM is there any way we can get a sense for how long Nix is likely to be unconscious now?))

”We could always cover her with branches to hide her from others searching the area. And I’d be very happy if you would check my knots too”. Lia smiles at Ologu and steps aside from Nix for now.

"Me thinks it be best if we end this one's life," Thror chimes in, "What you be thinking to do once we are done here? We can't be letting her go free." 

Thror looks at Nix briefly before turning his gaze to his companions. His hand reaches for dagger as he continues gravely, "Me'll do the deed if there be no objections. Arame and Lia, best you don't look," Thror gestures for them to turn away as he purposefully steps towards Nix.

Lia looks at Thror and sighs, resigned to the truth, “You are right my friend. But this little one is my responsibility. I spared her life, and I shall take it. It’s my duty...”.

Lia walks over to Nix, and unless anyone stops her she kneels beside the unconscious goblin woman, holding her head in both hands, close to her own; whispers a few words that are just between her, Nix, and both their gods; and she ends it swiftly with a sharp twist and a crack.

She stands, places a hand in Thror’s shoulder, and walks past the few that are around, and heads towards Cade and the cave.

Ologu watches Lia approach Nix and hold her head. He knows what’s coming. As he watches Lia’s muscles flex, he closes his eyes briefly and says softly to himself, “Rules”.

Gripping his wooden lucky charm on its cord around his neck, Cade moves to the entrance tot he cave.  He steps around the dead goblin bodies as he does so, wanting to make sure no enemies were coming as the others move to join him.

Thror allows Lia to do the grim deed. As Lia walks past, he gives her a reassuring squeeze on her arm,. not quite being able to reach her shoulder. He then too turns to head towards the cave.
