Marva starts to feel better as she gets back into the swing of just serving drinks. So, she thinks, I'm comfortable in a library and serving drinks in a tavern, but not so great at dueling. Good to know.
She feels bad for Panvalor who is clearly struggling on stage. When she gets a chance to speak to him, she says, "Listen, I've seen you do much better than that. I know you can and you know you can. Don't judge yourself by one performance." After another moment, she thinks, maybe I should take my own advice.

Panvalor sat at the bar after his failed performance drowning his sorrows as he used minor illusion to create small figures on the countertop.
But hearing Marvas words he smiled lightly and while a large part of him was still certain that someone had cursed him, the cleric words were certainly comforting. Turning towards her he raised his tankard slightly and nods as he replies "My thanks cleric you seem to have discovered the ancient skill of bartenders everywhere to be good listeners and offerers of sage wisdom."
Finishing his drink Panvalor leaned back against the bar as he turned to look at the performers on stage before tilting his head towards her and asking with a hint of concern. "but what of you, I hope you have recovered from your earlier... misadventure."
The townmaster is Harbin Wester’s son (Harbin Wester Jr.), and he has inherited the nervousness of his father under similar circumstances. He has written the notices for quests.
“If you’re a dragon, know that I’m far too thin and bony to make a halfway decent meal!” [Sound familiar?]
He talks through the door instead of coming out. He doesn’t mislead quest-seekers. When he pays, he slides coins under the door, one gold coin at a time.
The following Quests are on the job board, written in Common and in the same hand.
Starting Quests:
-Dwarven Excavation
Dwarf prospectors rediscovered some ancient dwarf ruin in the mountains southeast of here, digging for relics and treasures. They need to be warned of the dragon that is in the immediate area. Take the warning to them, then return to Junior Wester to receive a reward of 50 gp.
-New Gnomengarde
A clan of gnomes and halflings reside in a network of caves in the mountains to the southeast, making magical messes and archaic junk. They might have some stuff that would actually be useful in beating the dragon. Get whatever you can. If you find something useful and you don’t to keep it, Junior will give you a reasonable price for it.
-Umbrage Hill
The local midwife, Adabra Gwynn, lives by herself in a stone windmill on the side of a hill south of here. With dragon sightings becoming more frequent, it’s not safe for her to be alone. Urge her to return to Phandalin. Once she’s safe, visit Junior Wester to claim your reward of 25 gp.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“At ease, I will not eat you but I will ask of you this. If I can form a band of men and women to help these dwarves, I would like to agree a price of 50gp each for their troubles and to cover anything we may encounter along the way.” Leomyar asks majestically as he to persuade Harbin Wester persuasion13
Leomyar thinks they both must’ve seen something because they both appear to be catatonic with how they keep repeating the same thing over and over again, furrowing his eyebrows he questions “What dragon do you speak of? It can’t be i since I stand on two legs, have you heard of something that I need to know before we can make the agreement.” He looks away from the door and frowns to himself “fair pay for a fair days work for me and my group.” He says a bit more threatening this time intimidation4
(shit, the dice hate me. I guess Leomyar is a bad negotiator 😂)
(He's not going to open the door anytime soon, regardless if you roll a 1 or a 30). Anyway...
Junior- "That beast of the coldest heart, Cryovain the 4th! He flies about, snatching people up and eats themohohoh wait, dwarves say you? OH them, Steelix and Draxus Irontoe. Yeah, they left about 12 hours ago, probably still at their blasted excavation again. you need to warn them! NO ONE IS SAFE WITH THE DRAGON AROUND!!!!!!"

(No I gathered that, I’m just trying to get equal pay for everyone so 50gp each, unless gp stands for “gold pieces” if so then I’m dumb 😂)
“What if I could build a team of willing adventurers and we set out as a group to complete all these quests on the board? I have a tavern filled with many damn crazy enough to risk their lives against this dragon if the fee is good.” He explains, yes he hates going against a fellow dragon, particularly one who enjoys a good fight but perhaps there’s more to this and the dragon is in need of rescuing rather than killing, he’d much rather break bread with the beast
Finishing his drink Panvalor leaned back against the bar as he turned to look at the performers on stage before tilting his head towards her and asking with a hint of concern. "but what of you, I hope you have recovered from your earlier... misadventure."
"Thanks to your word of healing, I am on my way to full recovery. Just a short rest should get me back to health. It may take a little longer for me to recover my pride. Although maybe pride is the last thing I need. Ha ha!"
Marva tends to her work and watches the performers. She looks around at the various patrons and wonders what their stories are.

Leomyar nods as he takes the notice off the board and heads towards the tavern again to rally the troops so they all might set off on this grand adventure and came back inside to the loud bustling of the tavern. Immediately heading over to Marva as she is a fellow Dragonborn and scholar and she’d have some idea on how best to move forwards “Marva, Marva I have important news, I must speak with you!”
(That was ooc but I love your commitment to the part 😂)
Leomyar grumbles under his breath “so that’s 10gp per person.” He rubs the bridge of his nose, he’ll have to take some money out of the bar to give to the adventurers because there’s no way he’s risking people’s lives for that much
Leomyar calls back through town his voice carrying along the wind as it reaches Junior “Deal”
————————————————————————————
Leomyar furrows his brows at Marva “Marva there’s a quest and a dragon against Cryovain IV but we have to act quickly and warn an excavation of dwarves before they die and we’re successful then we get 15 gold pieces each.” He understands why people want this dragon dead but he doesn’t accept that this dragon got up one morning and decided to kill thousands just for kicks, he thinks there might be more at play and this dragon is possibly being used as a weapon of some description and the thought of it makes his blood boil with pure rage.
Marva looks at Leomyar with surprise and a little confusion. "Wait, what? Are we fighting a dragon or just going to warn the dwarves? I'd be glad for the gold if it's the second option. Where do we need to go? Are we bringing anyone with us? Who will mind the tavern?"
“In terms of whose running the tavern, I have an old goliath friend who’d happily run it if it means free alcohol.” He thought to himself as he ran a hand over his horns in thought and leaned against the bar with a sigh “And it’s the second option but we need allies, streets are paved with danger and I don’t want to be on the receiving end of a brother of ours, if I can help it I don’t want to kill it either.”

Disheartened, I leave the shrine of luck and feel a well or pity because I am a big collector of artefacts that can help me on my quest for vengeance.
(DM is it still my turn because if so I would like to go to the job board pls)
