Cedar's two arrows send the old woman reeling! In desperation, she reaches into her tent and pulls out a censer emitting some green gas. As she lifts up, a dark shadow extends across her face and she laughs malevolently.
"Fools! You can't kill me."
(Uses Censer of False Life. Gains temporary HP: 15)
The old woman then takes cover behind a pillar, protecting her completely from ranged attackers.
Nolla's shot wipes out the most injured bandit, so Tam strikes the second. The remaining two bandits have finally recovered from surprise and act. The larger one draws a mace and swings twice at the dodging Tam, intending to pummel him!
Attack: 5 Damage: 8

The second bandit draws a crossbow and jumps behind an open window in a ruined building. She fires a bolt at Cedar.
Attack: 5 Damage: 4
The fungal drummer is severely damaged by Jaesali's javelin and Helena's arrow. It lumbers towards where the stalker's arrow last came from, but in frustration can't seem to find her. Instead, the mushrooms on the body release a cloud of mind-afflicting spores!
(Helena must make a DC11 CON Save or be stunned for 1 minute, repeating the save at the end of her turns. On a failure, she also gains 3 Stress.)
One of the dancers have finally rushed over to the fire-place. Seeing Tam, the cloaked figure attempts to shove the monk into the fire!
(Tam must make an Acrobatics check, contesting a Athletics of 13)

Helena is stunned by the drummer's weakening spores. Cedar and Tam's attack heavily injure the mace-wielding bandit. Meanwhile, Nolla drops the dancer with a single shot from her bow.

The large bandit realizes the futility of continuing the fight. He Disengages from the fray and begins running towards the forest, though still in range of ranged characters or anyone who wishes to give chase. The crossbow bandit curses and follows, but not before firing another shot at Cedar!
Attack: 6 Damage: 4
The old woman screams at them, "What are you doing! Don't you dare abandon the glory of Noreddon! I'll guess I'll just have to do this myself."
She peeks out from her cover and holds up a rod covered in fungal matter. A dark essence flows from the rod into the air- a cloud of darkness covers Tam and Cedar. A sense of paranoia fills their minds, as well as the sound of heaving lungs.
(DC 14 WIS Save or gain 3 Stress.)
The fungal drummer, unable to find Helena, rushes Nolla instead who clumsily revealed her position by breaking a branch. It attempts to pummel her with it's rotten arms.

Helena stands frozen for a few seconds before managing to shrug off the spores affects. She stares at the drummer and pulls out an arrow, preparing to shoot that thing out of existence.

Nolla shoots the drummer and vanishes into the underbrush, leaving the fungal creature confused. It appears to be heavily wounded, but in animalistically continues to attack with no regard for it's mortality. However, Jaesali's javelin soars over it's head.
As Tam charges the old woman, she simply cackles. She draws a jagged, obsidian dagger and holds it up to Tanye's throat.
"I assume you are here to rescue my sister? Poor thing- a misguided soul who refuses to see the truth in the world. But soon, she will be devoured by the sea..."
The old woman points at the ocean, which begins to churn fiercely as if a huge struggle is occurring deep within. Rain is pouring down on the ruined temple and lightening thunders overhead.
"Why don't you back off now? Something glorious is going to come out of those waves- something amazing your mind will shatter like glass upon processing it. Go, go now, unless you want to see the show?"
The fungal creature turns around and charges Jaesali instead, slamming her with his arms.

The old woman readies an attack with her dagger- if anyone takes hostile action against her, she will slash Tanye's throat.

"If you kill her now, what will the sea be eating?" He gives her a meaningful look. "Drop the dagger and run, I won't chase you. Neither will the rest."
He glances at the sea, "Doesn't look like you have much time to decide, but if you plan on killing her anyways..."
(What a week! I'm been swamped with work, but now Thanksgiving break is here, I've got more time to continue this game. Thanks for hanging in there- expect a post coming tomorrow.)

Torrential rain continues to fall as the old woman cackles in the night. She holds her dagger closer to Tanye's neck and says, "You foolish mortals think your logic can avail you? Miserable conglobations of flesh and blood- do you think the great void of the ocean cares about your reasonings? But alas, when the ritual is compelte, I shall become young again. A lifetime of service of rendered my body frail, but soon, I shall be awakened!"
Suddenly, Nolla's arrow slams into her. Normally a killing blow, the false life infused into her body from the Censer allows her to stay alive. She grimaces as she glares back with absolute hatred.
"That was a mistake."
She slashes the dagger across Tanye's throat, who currently struggling with the ropes while eyeing the growing menace in the waves below.

However, the arrow shot has rendered her off-balance. In a miraculous display of agility, Tanye cranes her neck at the right moment and is barely nicked by the dagger.
