The three force missiles slam into the brain, causing it to explode into chunks that fly into the air and scatter across the floor.

The mind flayer moves across the room, making his way through the double doors that were almost destroyed by the gray dwarf.

Jorah, having seen the cat man go down, really doesn't like that brain thing, but since it died, focuses his energy on firing at the half orc gang leader.

Ranear would race towards Floon and attempt to drag his badly injured friend out of harm's way. "Hey old friend, It'll be alright.. let's get you out of here."

Misha rushes up to the duergar in attempt to share some of the wealth:

Flowers makes gurgling noises and drools a bit more

"Do not worry, keetee. Meesha weel take care of you soon to end meesery." she called out. "Your death weel not be forgotten! To the great leeterbox een zeh sky!"

"You're not the only one who can create fire." Jen runs around to the east and casts Burning Hands on the Duergar and the Orc.

Misha swings her sword and slices its arm, sending a spray of blood across the floor.

the flames engulf the half-orc. his clothes catch fire in an instant and he lets out a blood curdling scream as he flails in agony before collapsing to the ground. The gray dwarf holds his arms in front of his face as the worst of the flames burn his arms and legs. when the flames subside the gray dwarf is charred and bloddy but still standing. 

The singer gray dwarf would snarl at jen as bits of singed beard fall to the ground. He would step close to Jen and swing his large maul towards her with all the strength he can muster.

Marla responds to her fellow arcanist being attacked by hurling a Fire bolt at the Duergar...

The gray dwarf over extends as he swings his maul towards jen. When his attack misses he is unable to dodge the incoming streak of flame from marla and takes the hit square in the chest. What was left if his beard quickly ignites and the flames race towards the dwarfs face. A strained grunt is the last sound he makes before collapsing to the ground. 

As the dwarf collapses the mind flayer continues to make his way into the next room to the west and with a flash of light, he disappears.

combat is over. Renaer has dragged the very badly wounded floon across the stone floor and has him slumped against the wall. The tabaxi's eyes are open but he doesnt move. drool drips from his mouth as he stares off into the distance.

Satisfied that Flowers is at least stable, Alexa makes her way rapidly over to Floon, prioritizing caring for the wounded over figuring out what's up with the mind flayer. She checks Floon's wounds carefully, her examination gentle and experienced.

Medicine: 20

It is a miracle that Floon is alive when Alexa inspects the battered and broken man. All of his fingers are broken and the fingernails ripped off. a couple if his teeth are broken along with most if his ribs. bits if glass are embedded in the face if floon that appear to have been from a healing potion. Alexa thinks that they may have used a healing potion at some point to keep him alive long enough to continue torturing him. 

The broken man looks up and manages to give you a nod of appreciation. he is alive and could probably walk with renears help.

"You're going to be fine," Alexa reassures him softly. "We're going to get out of the sewers, and then I'll be able to heal you a bit more, and we'll take you to the Hospice and you'll make a full recovery." She turns to look at the others, raising her voice a little so they all hear her. "We need to get him and Flowers out of here. If we bring them to the Hospice of St. Laupsenn, I know priests who can help them both."

Marla checks to make sure the mind flayer isn’t immediately coming back, then searches the bodies. (Investigation: 12)

‘This isn’t just a couple of thieves’ guilds having a spat. That was a damn *Mind Flayer*!’

She’s noticeably paler than *before* coming face to face with a Mind Flayer...

"Yes. Which is why I suggest that we leave the premises immediately and take Flowers to the Hospice so that Alexa's friends can heal him."

When searching the bodies or the half orc and the dwarf, marla finds a spell book which contains the following spells: burning hands, disguise self, false life, shield, unseen servant, and witch bolt. she also finds 6 gold pieces.

Flowers purrs when he hears his name

and drools a bit more

Marla holds up the book to Jen. ‘Spells. We can take a look through them later.’ she pockets the book, and hands the 6gp to Alexa. ‘That’s all the money they had.’ she nods to Flowers ‘For the healing fund, if you’re not able to help him...’
