Marla quickly uses Prestidigitation and Mending to make everyone presentable, then heads to the stairs to listen briefly. if everything seems innocuous she’ll knock loudly, and open the trap door, apologising for the interruption...
As you knock on the door at the top of the basement, you hear a few confused voices on the other side. Then slowly the door creeks open and you see a young brown haired halfling girl who looks to be about seven years old. Behind her clutching a small teddy bear is her smaller three year old brother. "Who are you?! How did you get in our house?" The little girl asks as she begins to back away from the basement door.. holding her arms out as though to protect her little brother.
"Oh... uh.. what is a Xanathar? is it a monster? Were there monsters in our basement?"The girl asks just before the young boy pipes up. "I TOLD YOU SIS THAT THAT BASEMENT WAS SPOOKY! I bet there were a whole bunch of em and i was right and you were wrong!" He hits his sister in the arm with his teddy bear. As you all make your way up out of the basement, Renaer moves towards the two kids. "Where are your parents?" He asks with a smile. "Daddy is at work and mom ran to the market. She said I was in charge" the older sister says proudly while the little boy rolls his eyes. "Well here.. how about you and your brother both take one of these.. and give the rest to your mom. Tell her to use the money to close up the hole in your basement." He would say as he hands them each a gold coin before handing the girl a small jingling pouch. "Thanks mister!"They both exclaim before Renaer turns to look at you all. "Alright.. where to now... I think both Floon and Flowers could use a lot of help"
Jorah looks over at the small hairless monkey children, scoffing as he failed to spot any interesting books or reading materials. Hearing Renaer's concern for Flowers, Jorah will look at Misha who was carrying him. "Hiz brain mush. Sleepz good."
Misha smiles, rolls her eyes at Jorah's comments, and climbs up into the room with Flowers on her shoulder. (A fireman's carry?) He was a heavy cat, that's for sure. She smiled at the children as others had the situation well under control - impressed a three year old had such a good vocabulary.
Alexa nods, poking her head up from the back of the group. "Yes. Follow me." She will proceed to head out of the house and guide the group to the Hospice of St. Laupsenn, the primary temple of Ilmater in the city.
The two children nod excitedly and squeel with delight when Marla performs her trick. When the large crow appears they are startled a bit with the brother hiding behind the sister for a moment but then they both quickly reach their hands out and begin to pet the bird.
Renaer continues to aid Floon in standing and looks to Alexa. "I can pay for whatever aid is required to fix your friend. I will make sure to cover the costs to fix you as well." Renaer adds as he pats Floon on the shoulder. Floon just gives a small nod of his swollen blood covered head in response.
As you all leave the halfling home, You are surprised at how close you all are to the Hospice of St. Laupsenn. It only takes a few minutes and you all arrive on the steps of the hospice. The well kept white stone building invites you through its large open set of wooden doors. Once inside you are greated by a short woman with curly blond hair and green eyes. She wears simple robes and a holy symbol around her neck. "Hello. Welcome. What can I dooOhMyGoodness." She gasps as she sees the beaten and battered Floon. Her eyes then wander to the tabaxi before finally falling upon Alexa. "Oh, Alexa. What happened?" She would ask with a look of confusion and concern.
ooc: Alexa knows that this is cleric's name is Marcy Zephyr, and Alexa actually trained Marcy and was a much more powerful cleric than her until very recently.
Alexa gives Marcy a weary smile. "Marcy. We ended up on a trip to rescue Mr. Blagmaar from the Xanathar Guild." Her voice tightens slightly with anger. "There was a mind flayer, and it set its pet upon us. Several of the others need healing, and the tabaxi had his mind attacked, he will need powerful restoration magic. I would have done it myself, but..." she trails off and waves her hand in the general area of her neck, and the choker around it. "I can give the clergy the entire story while everyone's being healed."
Misha does her best to carefully lower Flowers on to a bed if directed to do so. She then retracts her armor and weapons and stretches momentarily, as if waking up. While Misha did enjoy being encased in armor and fighting, the feeling of business casual wear was also nice from time to time, especially when dealing with customers. She adjusted her shirt and put her jacket back on - absentmindedly feeling the area she got hurt at her ribs when the Duergar pounded her. They were just fine. She smiled at the notion. She was very familiar with divine magic, even if she didn't posses it anymore.
She took a step back and let the clergy do their work.
Jen watches the process too. She couldn't particularly imagine herself working in the clergy, if she couldn't bother sitting in the academy, she wouldn't fare much better in a monastery, but it would at least be interesting to see how it works.

Marcy quickly waves over a few younger clerics.. probably between sixteen and eighteen years old who quickly get to work casing very low level healing magic on the groups injuries and placing cool wet strips of cloth on some of the bruises. "Come with me to get Mother Issa... She is the only one here at the moment capable of fixing your friend since your.. uhh.. Since that happened." She would say awkwardly as she glances towards Alexa's necklace. Within a few moments Floon is looking much better with his open wounds healed and the caked blood wiped away. Marcy takes you up a set of simple yet well kept and clean stone stairs at the far end of the Hospice and leads you to a large set of open wooden doors that you are all too familiar with. You are greeted by a warm smile from a woman who appears to be well over ninety years old. "Hello dear, what can I do for you?" She asks as she looks up from a scroll from her position seated behind her desk. Her office is small and the furnishings are simple. everything is meticulously clean and in very good condition. Mother Issa is a woman practical woman that doesn't take anything for granted. The appreciates all people and things and treats them all with care.
Alexa winces at bit at Marcy's words and follows the cleric to Mother Issa's office. She bows to the priestess. "Mother Issa. I am sorry to ask so much, but a friend of mine had his mind drained. He needs powerful restoration magic to mend his mind."
"Don't you fret young one" The old woman would say as she slowly moves up from her desk. "there is no task to difficult for llmater" She continues as she glides across the floor. although she moves very slowly, her movements are graceful and precise. Her words are warm and reassuring like that of a mother who has seen it all before. "Let's go tend to your friend" She says calmly while reaching up to place a reassuring hand on Alexa's shoulder as she moves past. Mother Issa then proceeds to slowly slide down the hallway. the slightly hunched woman's silver colored hair shimmers like a dazzling rainbow. the sunlight piercing through the beautiful stained glass window and reflects off the top of her head as though she wore a halo. Once downstairs, she would approach Flowers and Floon. "Thank you for your assistance, I am feeling much better now" Floon says with a nod to all of you and the various clerics that helped to heal him. Before he can finish his thanks, Mother Issa takes his hand and examines the fingers and notes the ripped off fingernails. She pokes him in the ribs which causes him to wince before opening his mouth and shaking her head at the multiple broken teeth. "You are hardly healed young one... here.. let me finish getting you all fixed up." She would say before placing her hands on floon. A white light begins to shimmer around her hands as the fingernails immediately begin to regrow and the teeth of the man regenerate before your eyes. "There... that should do it." She says before moving from Floon to the brainless Tabaxi. "Hmm.... well this interesting" She says as she places her wrinkled hand on the large cat and gives it a gentle pet and scratch behind the ear. Her hand once more begins to glow... as a few tiny beads of sweat form on her forehead. After a few very long feeling seconds, Flowers shakes his head a few times and blinks rapidly. He looks around and sees his companions and Renaer... and Floon.. and a handful of other clerics. He is in a place he has never been in before. "There..." Mother Issa says with a nod as she dabs her forehead. A few of the other younger clerics look around and whisper to each other. You get the impression they have never seen her use some of these more demanding spells before. "You should be right a rain now young one... now both of you make sure to thank llmater before you leave." She says with a smile. As she goes to turn away from the group and head upstairs, Alexa notices that her movements seem a little less graceful than they were mere minutes ago when she slowly limps away... You get the impression that she is exhausted and trying not to show it.
"Wait! Don't you want something in return for your help!" Floon shouts a little louder than expected. "Yes, What you have done is no simple task"Renaer joins in. "Please... allow me to pay you for helping us."He says as he pulls out another bag of coins. This one seemingly heavier than any of the coin pouches he has produced previously. "It is our duty and our calling to aid those in need... to end suffering." Mother Issa replies as she slowly looks back over her shoulder. "You can make a donation to our cause if you like... but if you REALLY want to repay my me and my brothers and sisters here...." She says as she slowly lifts her arm and gestures to the various clerics around the room "You could work to spread the message of llmater as well. There is much suffering here in Waterdeep... and llmater protects and shines his light those that work to end that suffering. The best way to give back to us is to give back to others" she finishes with a smile before turning and slowly making her way up the stairs. Marcy excuses herself and moves alongside Mother Issa. She knows better than to try to help the old woman but stands nearby just in case...
Ranear than opens the lid on a nearby collection box near the front doors and drops the coin pouch inside. "Well.. I think it's time we went our separate ways." he says with a nod to each of you."Floon... get some rest and maybe we can get another drink sometime... maybe at a little nicer establishment" Floon smiles and nods in agreement. "Give me a couple days and I'll be good as new." Floon says to Ranear before looking to each of you. "Thank you all so much for helping me. Ranear said Volvo sent you all to find me.. Well give him this" He says before handing a small decorative pin to Misha. "That is my family crest. Tell him you found me and that I'm heading home to rest... Thanks again"
And with that Floon and Renaer head out into the street. Much of the fog is gone and you all realize it is probably about 3 in the afternoon. A few rays of sunlight dance across the busy street in front of you as Floon and Renaer disappear into the crowds.
Marla quickly uses Prestidigitation and Mending to make everyone presentable, then heads to the stairs to listen briefly. if everything seems innocuous she’ll knock loudly, and open the trap door, apologising for the interruption...

Jorah perks up at the child, and looks at him, giving a toothy grin, "Youz smart. Yez, Jorah is Dragon!"
Flowers purrs
Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
(OOC: I was using my 3 year old daughter as inspiration. She talks like crazy :P)
Marla kneels next to the children, smiling. ‘Would you like to see a magic trick?’
(Assuming yes!) Marla uses Prestidigitation to create a shower of sparks, into which she summons back Shade, with a loud squawk!
She then stands, and looks round. ‘Can you guide us, Alexa?’
Alexa nods, poking her head up from the back of the group. "Yes. Follow me." She will proceed to head out of the house and guide the group to the Hospice of St. Laupsenn, the primary temple of Ilmater in the city.
