Misha lunges towards the distracted thug, punching him hard in the face and sending a tooth skittering across the floor. The man snarls as blood drips from his mouth as he squares up against the Tabaxi. A moment later an arrow flies through the crowd.. leaving small cuts in three patrons before slamming into the back of another thug. "NO!" Durnan shouts as he turns to point his sword towards the kobold. "That's IT! YOU ALL OUT!" He would shout pointing to the kobold and then the thugs. Yarga throws one last punch, knocking the bald headed man unconcious before getting up off of his limp body. The four men quickly move to pick up their battered companion and leave. Durnan gives the kobold a stern look.. expecting him to leave as well when all of a sudden.... Shouts of alarm suddenly ring out as a hulking creature climbs up out of the shaft in the middle of the taproom — a monster with warty green skin, a tangled nest of wiry black hair, a long, carrot-shaped nose, and bloodshot eyes. As it bares its yellow teeth and howls, you can see that a half-dozen bat-like creatures are attached to its body, with three more circling above it like flies. Everyone in the tavern reacts in fear except for the barkeep, Durnan, who shouts, “Troll!”
Marla tucks her cards away, her hands twitching whenever she thinks the fight might be moving in her direction. Both her and Shade also still keep an eye on the door. The violence - though not aimed at her - is clearly making her nervous about other sources of potential violence.
As such she’s prepared for the incoming monsters. Unfortunately she’s too focused on the front door, and is slow to react when the monsters pour into the room.
Seeing the troll emerge, Misha took off her greatcoat. She wanted to catch up, but figured THIS might be a moment where the tavern might need some help. She took her time, as if she had done this a million times. She rolled up her right sleeve where a thin metal bracer was attached. She hit a button and was rapidly encased in metal armor. A large hilt she produced from her back belt became an elegant bladed weapon, which emerged with a loud SCHWING. Finally, she produced a shield with some sort of emblem on it.
"Well."Misha said to Jen, rolling her shoulders. "Eet wouldn't be a worthy battle weethout a Moon by my side, ah?"she said. "Shall we?"
"Oh! Marla! Hello!"Misha said, pleased to see her. "Always heppy to talk weeth customer! Couldn't agree more - ees a fine weapon - Meesha take no offense, don't be ridilicous. Come see me next week, weel hef more items for you to see, ya? Your special order ees neerly compleet."
"I don't know if I'll be fighting side by side with you since I'm more of a mage and not the duelist my grandmother was, but I'll definitely have your back!"

"Does not matter how you contreebute, ah?"Misha called back to Jen. "Eef grandmother ees eenside you, good enough for Meesha. Wait. Thet sounded wrong. You know what I mean!" She considered her misplaced words, thinking a moment, then threw her head back in a laugh.
As the Troll climbs out of the pit, three striges circle around its head. Their pointed beaks quickly moving from person to person as they determine who they will feast upon next. The smell of the creatures hits you almost as hard as the stampede of patrons as they rush towards the exit. men and women flood from upstairs as the roar of the troll and Durnan's shout alert everyone inside to the danger that has presented itself. A small group of female tabaxi and Kobolds scurry out the door after descending from upstairs, one of them wearing a while sash that says "bride". The Troll looks towards the chaos and stomps its foot, sending the six bloated stirges hanging from its body falling to the ground. These crimson colored creatures appear to look like grapes with with tiny wings.. overstuffed with troll blood. Carl tries to move away from the table he had been sitting at with Marla and steps on one of these bloated creatures, resulting in a sickening pop and a rush of blood spraying out along the floor....
The three flying stirges fly out into the crowd.. 523
Stirge1 spots the kobold standing on the bar and swoops towards him... Attack: 7 Damage: 5 But Jorah is able to quickly bat the creature away with his shortbow
Stirge2 flies straight towards Jen Attack: 15 Damage: 6 and slams into her chest, Driving its beak under her skin and quickly sucking large gulps of blood from the woman..
Stirge3 dives towards the juicy looking tabaxi Attack: 6 Damage: 5 but Flowers is able to step out of the way at the last moment, sending the creature flying into the table next to him and getting its beak stuck in the wood.
The remaining bloated stirges simply flail around on the ground for the moment, struggling to get up and stunned from the sudden drop
Flowers already in mid run towards the troll will scoop up his maul as he passes the table he left it leaning against, roaring as he goes "Trooooooooollllllll!" the air around him tingles with energy as he rages (continued from earlier - or if that subsides he'll rage again) and brings his mighty maul around in a swing at the Troll-lo-lo-lo
Alexa shook her head. This would take no time, a divine strike upon the troll, and it would only be so much ash-right...she couldn't do that anymore. She instead murmurs a prayer to Ilmater as she flicks a finger at the stirge on Jen, a bolt of holy fire lancing out past Jen's face at the stirge.
Misha was going to move in but she saw the Stirge5 first. She raised up her shield up in front of Jen as the stirge came zooming in needle nose.
Misha will use her reaction to PROTEC against the stirge that was going for Jen. PROTEC: While wielding a shield and a creature you can see attacks a target other than you within 5 ft., you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
She will then MOVE and ATTAC!the Troll. Longsword Attack: 17 Damage: 7
The Stirge feeding on Jen shifts its body a bit to the side as the holy flame streaks across the front of the sorceress, just missing Jen and the Stirge.
Flowers races towards the Troll, leaping over a table and bringing his mail down hard towards the troll. The foul creature manages to quickly deflect the blow with a powerful swing of its large clawed hand. While the tabaxi fails to land his strike, he does distract the troll long enough for Misha to rake her sword against its thigh, nearly bringing the troll to its knees as it snarls in anger. in the meantime Alexa barley misses the Stirge attacking Jen with a divine strike a second before a bolt of arcane energy slams into the creature, causing it to erupt in an explosion of blood that covers the face of the sorceress. Two other arcane bolts streak through the air obliterating a second stirge and badly wounding another as it struggles to stay in the air The blood soaked Ken then quickly forma a small ball of flame in her hand before sending it crackling across the room. the firebolt slams into the trolls face with a loud hiss as its flesh burns. The troll then locks eyes with the source of the new wound and snarls.... tbc (need kobold action)
I remember a time before time. Acheron - and the age of Conquest. A time before Hell. A time before Praxia and the loss of those I loved. As I swing and hit the troll, my body reacts to training due to my new life, not reacting to gifts from the old. Where I once was, I am no longer a Prime - a sacrifice I made long ago to save my world. To be forever removed from the Plane of War was the price I paid. I did so willingly and freely. Even though the price was high, I am forever content with the choice I made and the lives I saved.
The old has been rewritten. My body reacts not because of what I was, but for who I am now. This time, it reacts because I was born, not created. I see life and love in everything around me - in everything, and in the midst of this battle my heart pounds and my muscles tighten and work because I want them to, not because they are commanded to.
It is this reason that as I face danger I laugh.
I am free.
