Kiera looks back at Fayne and smiles "Not all of one place is the same, there are parts in every tranquil part of the world which are tempestuous and evil, just as there are parts of every evil part of the world which are good, we just have to choose which parts we bring with us" 

Vestigar, you see a pale sailor on the docks. He smiles. "Well, there are plenty of options on the port. The most affordable is probably the Grapevine Canopy. It's right next to a good tavern as well."

As you wander closer to the restaurants and inns of the port, you notice that Mercasi seems to specialize in wine above all other delicacies.

'I needed to get away from a very tenacious pursuer, the matter is a bit sensitive, and I figured this might be a good out of the way place to find some work or injustices to right.'

"I figured it'd be the perfect place to explore a bit, maybe discover some abandoned ruins or a tomb. It's an entire continent that's only recently been resettled - there's bound to be something interesting to find." says Aurlan. He looks around, excited, seemingly feeling more at home already.

He leads them toward the tavern that the sailor pointed out.

Kiera follows behind looking around with great interest

"I was pointed in a direction, told to help people as much as I can, so I walked and was led here"

She smiles wide skipping ahead a little and spinning around

(OOC: Just to make sure, it is still morning, right?)

(It is still morning, yes. Probably about noon by now)

The tavern you walk into is relatively quiet. Apparently the bars seem to thrive more at night here. There are still multiple waiters jogging from table to table, and there's a large expansive bar in the back. Not to mention a very large wine collection displayed behind said bar. It is reasonably worn down, but still very much usable.
One of the waiters glides over to you. It is a male tiefling, with unkempt black hair and a slightly tattered blazer. "Would you like a table or seats at the bar?" the waiter asks.

Fayne looks at the others. "Personally I'm not a fan of intoxicants, but I'll sit with you all if you want to."

"It's probably better to make sure we have the funds for a place to sleep before we start drinking"

Kiera looks towards the tiefling smiling

"Do you have rooms to rent? We have had a long journey and want to make sure we have somewhere safe to sleep before we start drinking if you don't mind, then after that I'm sure at least a few of us will have a drink"

The male tiefling waiter nods. "We do have lodging, but it is in our adjoining building." The tiefling leads you across the room, past a door and into another room. It has multiple people with bags, walking in and out. A few beings stand behind a desk at the front of the room. "They handle our rooms. Have a good stay." The tiefling then walks away.

A female halfling stands on a small wooden log so her head is barely above the desk. "How many rooms do you need?"

"Well, I... I prefer not spending all my money just on one night." Fayne says to the group. She speaks with a rather feeble voice that gets even weaker as she continues. As she speaks, she turns her face away from everyone. "Maybe we can share a room?" And then, after a short pause: "Or two rooms, Aurlan and Vestigar in one and..." She spells the words with her lips but at that point, no sound comes out anymore.

"Two rooms then" Kiera smiles giggling a little

"One for us girls and the other for the boys, how much for that?" she says looking at the halfling at the desk

“Sounds agreeable enough.” Aurlan replies.

'Two will be fine. We have had a hard journey and a safe place to rest would be most welcome.'

with this Vestigar will look the inn staff straight in the eyes and say, 'What might you have available to such weary souls?'

The halfling's eyes widen when looking into Vestigar's eyes. She quickly checks a small registration book in front of her. "Well...we do have two mini-suites available on the the top floor. Our mini-suites truly are luxurious in comparison to other lodging places in the port. They are 7 silver per room per night. Is that affordable for you?"

 Kiera nods "That sounds good to me and just to be sure there are two beds in these rooms yes?" she says while pulling 2 gold coins from her pouch

"Correct," the halfling replies, ready to accept the coins.

Kiera hands them over "Keep the rest, I imagine we'll be staying here for a while" she turns to her companions "There we are friends we should be safe tonight!"

 The halfling smiles. "Thank you." The halfling provides two keys. "Those are to your rooms."
