Kanlos
Disengaging from the first mate, Kanlos nearly flies up the ladder, emerging onto the upper deck. Almost immediately Kassiopeia slams the hatch down, kneeling on it with her shield under her. The latch used to lock the thing is fairly easy to use, so you two slam it home with ease.
Spyro
Moves towards the merchant captain, staying behind some of the crates near the mast. Casting a spell, a arch of lightning lashes out towards the merchant, hitting him and sizzling between the two, sustained by the spell.
Bandits...
There is shouting from below, and several thuds against the hatch, but the hatch seems to hold.
Merchant
"What be the meaning of this!" The merchant-looking pirate says in a voice meant to carry. "Treason! Betrayal!" He looks to the Proud Jester as he screams these things. "Your adventurers left me crew to the critter below!" He yells over, the sizzling ark of lightning still connecting him to Spyro. "Now they are trying to kill me as well!" He turns hard on the wheel of the ship, turning it towards the Proud Jester. As he does so he raises his other hand and reveals a hand crossbow. He sends a bolt at Spyro.
"You lie." Gnorecys calls back, glancing to her officers. "Take evasive actions." She orders, the Proud Jester much more mobile than the merchant's ship, so clearly in no danger of being hit by the slow-moving Sinful Devil, especially with no sales up on the Devil. Rows start to work as Rhordon barks orders, and the sound of Yanna's drum sounds out over the water.
Attack on Spyro... Hand Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: 23 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 3 piercing damage. (Spyro has half-cover from this attack.)
Xerronios grips his long sword tightly and moves toward the Captain but pulls out his yawm. Placing it to his lips, he manages, with a single hand, to blow a strangely dissonant tune. Then he pulls the instrument away and his lips move but none can hear the words...none but the Captain. Xerronios does not stop his movement, intent on getting as close to the pirate as possible.
attack:Dissonant Whispers damage 6, WIS save DC 14 to take 1/2. If fail, must use Reaction to move as far away as it can safely do.

Io puts his war hammer away and says, "Your idea to ambush us was a bad decision." He lunges toward the captain, his hand glowing with negative energy.
Io grabs the captain by his head and lifts him off his feet. He sends a surge of negative energy into the captain's head from his hand then he lets go.
Xerronios casts his spell and the merchant-pirate grimaces as the full affect of the spell washes over him. He immediately turns and moved to the very front of the boat, pressing up against the railing there.
Io stalks towards the merchant captain, black power surrounding his hand. As he touches the captain with that hand, the captain's skin turns gray and his eyes empty of life. Io drops the dead man to the deck.
As you collect yourself aboard the Sinful Devil, the sounds of pounding from below eventually go silent, those below clearly waiting to find out what is going on above deck.
The Proud Jester comes around, alongside the drifting Sinful Devil.
"Well, seems our Yanna is right, once again." Gnorcys says as she gives you all a nod of approval. "We'll make for the nearest port, along our current path, and can turn in any surviving pirates over there." She pauses. "There are survivors, right?"
"Just give them to Thassa." Rhordon says with a grimace.
"Thassa will take them when and if she wishes." Gnorcys says back. "It is not our job to hasten that along." She glances back to the grup of you. "Will you come back over here, or do you wish to stay on the Sinful Devil there?"
(What are you guys going to do? Gnorcys will have Rhordon captain the Sinful Devil for now, with a couple of the crew, to get it to the next port. There is no real place to stay on the Devil, other than down in the hold, where the prisoners currently are located, so not sure staying on the Sinful Devil is going to be your best bet. Let me know though.)
As the Io drops the body to the ground, Spyro would lower his rod as the lightning ceases. "I'd be alright sending them to see Thessa as well" The Satyr would reply as he clutches his bleeding shoulder. After pulling out the bolt he would slowly make his way across the deck. "I wan't off this damn ship. I was happier fishing abourd the Jester." He would say with a smile to Yanna.
Io will move back to the Jester. He will say, "We have killed the captain and the crew is below deck. I doubt there is any actual lizard-like creature there but if there is, any you let me know?"
Kanlos removes a copper coin from the pouch at his belt and places it beneath the tongue of the fallen captain, carefully arranging his limbs at his side, "May Athreos carry you to your destination, one last voyage. What is the custom of handling a death at sea?" After seeing to the handling of the body, he'll move over to the hatch in the deck, "Your captain is dead, we can either take you to port and turn you in, or turn this ship into a pyre at sea, I suggest behaving yourself." He then heads back to their ship without waiting for a response.

"I've no need for it,"Ritha says to Spyro with a nod. Approaching the body, she says to Kanlos, "As a servant of Thassa I can tell you that tradition is, as you have done, to place a coin for passage under the tongue, bind the mouth shut, and then allow the body to stand for a day so that others may mourn. Those mourners then usually grant offerings for the dead, before turning the body over to the waves. As we have fed from the bounty of the ocean, so our bodies becomes food for her depths."
She spares a cold look at the corpse. "I do not believe the men below will likely wish to honor this corpse, however, as they have displayed no honor whatsoever. And as you have already granted him coin for the ferry, I am sure he will not mind handing us his worldly goods in payment for this waste of our time." She says a brief prayer over the body, before ripping a strip of cloth from the man's shirt and binding his mouth shut.
Ritha will search the corpse for any valuables, as well as any sort of identification, either of the individual, or of his pirating group, or of his deity. Investigation: 11 + Guidance 4

As Xerronios rides back to the Jester and later, he ponders the significance of the encounter, wondering how it would help the skein of fate, the untangling of those myriad chains. As his comrades and crew mates shuffled back and forth between the ships, the bard took out his lute and began playing a traditional Leonine song, just the melody for he did not feel up to singing. At the end of a battle, the bards on both sides would play this song, or another, as a tribute to the victors and a salute to the fallen. That the human had been a pirate did not matter, not in this context. He had fallen in battle against Xerronios and his companions. That was enough.

The fight ended quicker than Kassiopeia expected and after the hatch is sealed she gets up and picks up her shield. "Time to patch you up." she says as she pulls a box with bandages and salves from her backpack. Looking from one to the next she notices 3 injured and one dead. "He was not a nice person and he did hurt Spyro, so I guess it was inevitable that this would happen to him sooner or later." she mutters directed at noone.
Approaching Spyro she inspects the wound, making sure it is clean and the bolt was not poisoned.
"Just hold still for a moment! You can get whatever you want from him when I'm done with this." Healer: 13 "Ok, good enough for now."
Since the three are standing next to the pirate corpse Kassiopeia turns towards Ritha checking her side. "You got to close to one of their knives I guess. Please be more careful next time!" She applies a salve and tightly wraps a bandage all around Rithas body and the bleeding soon stops. Healer: 11
"Both of you, don't bounce around until tomorrow or the wounds might open again."
Kneeling down next to the pirate she checks his pulse and briefly opens his eyes to inspect them: "Dead!" Getting up she shrugs and waits for the two others to finish their business.
Since Kanlos just ran off there is no chance to check him at this moment.
"Thank you!" Spyro would say to Kassiopeia, "It feels great" Spyro would smile and try to perform a very stiff dance as Xerronios played his amazing song. The satyr would wince in pain however as he got got a little too into the music.. prompting him to clutch his shoulder.

((Small Clarification, which enemies are on top of deck? The guys who aren't locked downstairs?))
Con save for concentration! 12
(The only enemy up on deck is the merchant - pirate captain. All others are currently locked below deck.)
