„Aaaaahhhh wait a second ...“ Kassiopeia yells, as she runs under deck. Quickly browsing through her chest, she grabs a pair of shorts and some rope which was cut the right length to serve as belt.
Changing and a brief look into the backpack to ensure it is as ready to go, she grabs her trident and rushes back to the main deck.
„Where‘d everybody go?“ she wonders until she spots Ritha swimming nearby.
„Aughus, can you please drop down the ladder.“
Waiting for the addressed to deploy the rope ladder she then climbs down and glides into water, pushing away from the ship.
Diving down the community below is revealed to be a smaller town by the looks of it. You do not spot anyone swimming around though, but do see a larger central building, probably a good place to check out.
Let me know if you head there or wish to do something else first.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Where is everyone?" Ritha muses as she swims towards the large building. Praying to Thassa for guidance, she keeps her eyes peeled, searching for any signs of the villagers.
(Sea is decently deep, not less than 250 feet or so.)
As you near the central building a couple tired-looking tritons open the door, looking around with concern. They wave you towards them, clearly wanting you to hurry.
As you gain the building you are ushered inside quickly, the tritons clearly keeping watch as they do so. You are brought into a large central chamber, where many tritons are gathered. They all look malnurished and tired.
"How did you get past the great beast that swims our waters?" An elder triton asks as he sits in a chair of honor to one side of the room.
Remembering proper procedures, Ritha bows respectfully to the village elder, before introducing herself.
"I am Ritha, servant of Thassa. Be greeted, my brethren! May we know the names of yourselves, and your village?" she ask politely. When appropriate, she continues the conversation:
"Great beast?" Ritha says, confused. "I saw nothing of the sort. Please, tell us, what predator dares to terrorize the children of Thassa in their own homes?"
Io also bows. When the talk of the big creature comes up, he remembers something and says, "Do you mean the large shark we saw that was routed by the dolphins?"
The elder gives his name and the name of the town.
"Yes the great shark." The elder says, nodding. "It has been attacking my people anytime they leave their homes, and has either eaten or driven off the schools of fish we survive on."
"This shark can repay its debt to the town by offering its flesh as sacrifice," Ritha agrees. "It is suitable Let us bring this creature in, and allow the villagers to feast upon it, just as it has feasted upon them."

Spyro would swim towards the central building as the hair on his body dances and sways in the water.

Io stays with the group, following Spyro and Ritha.
Quick question: how deep is the sea here?
Kassiopeia will follow down but slower than the others, looking around to spot the towns fields.
Are they looking in order or were they devastated?
Is there any visible destruction in or around the town?
Xerronios swims with the others, keeping alert but mostly trying to control his mingled awe and terror at being below the waves.

Kanlos follows the group for now, trying to get his bearings and a handle on swimming.

Following Ritha's lead, Xerronios bows the elder triton, "Greetings, respected Elder."
After hearing about the 'great beast' he swims back to the door. Looking out carefully, he tries to see any evidence of such a creature.

Did Kassiopeia notice any devastation of the fields or destruction of buildings on her way in?

There was no distruction noticed on the way in.

Io says to the party, "Looks like we found the source of their hunger problems. What say we solve it by killing the thing?"
Kanlos nods, "Better a long term solution than a short term one."

"If I had known the problem was a fish, I'd have stayed onboard the ship and tried to hook it with my trusty lure." Spyro would say with a grin.
Kanlos nods, "It appears we're agreed then. Um... How does one go about hunting a shark?"
