Io takes this moment to ask Khloe about Mirrie, "If you don't mind, I would like to ask you something. When we first got here, I was told that there was a visitor that came to the island before us. She was about this tall and wrapped herself up in clothing from head to toe. I was also told that she left the island on a ship. Can you tell me if she said where she was headed or which ship she left on? Did she divulge any information about herself?"
Ritha, of course, drops her disguise and joins the others. She takes part in the town square celebration, partaking in the food and drink offered there, and this time, enjoying it.
As she does so, she sees Kassiopeia eyeing the farmers, and trades words with her. As it turns out, the other woman wishes to stay on the island, and help the farmers rebuild and grow more properous with her Goddess's blessing. Happy that her friend has found a calling here, in this foreign land, she informs the others of their cleric's departure.
Kanlos puts away his bow and stops by the ship to pass on the good news and the invitation to the feast. At the feast itself, he'll hesitantly taste the food, just to be sure his god's displeasure with the island has been eased. Assuming the food has taste, he'll try and mingle with the guests and spend time with the traders who just arrived to learn anything he can about the seas ahead.
Watching as Besios is led away, Xerronios moves over to the celebration, playing songs of celebration and hope and cooperation. He sprinkles in songs of praise for Athreos and Klothys and asks the occasional question, subtly and carefully, trying to determine if Bethios and the others really have been de-fanged.
Io Khloe does remember Mirrie, or at least a person that matches the description Io gave. She had approached Mirrie, to see if there was any aid to be had from her, or those who traveled with her. She had found it odd that Mirrie had not accepted the old Lord's invitation to join the land owners for the normal feast for new arrivals, so had approached Mirrie. There had been two ships in port at the time and Khloe recalls that Mirrie had just arrived that afternoon, on one ship, but booked passage on the ship that was leaving the very next morning, not the ship she had arrived on. She does not recall the name of the ship, just that it was heading further out into the uncharted seas.
Kanlos The food tastes amazing and there is no reaction from eating it.
Xerronios It is very clear that the old Lord has been removed, his thugs scattered, and the island under new rulership. It seems the future of this land has been made come to fruition,as your god has willed it.
You have a good evening and night on the island. The next day you are back on the Proud Jester and ready to move onward. The ship has been loaded with supplies from the island, as a thank-you for the aid you have given. You sail forth accompanied by the cheers of the island's workers as they line the harbor walls.
Once more out on the open sea, you have several days of travel ahead of you. Please feel free to RP as you wish here. I likely won't be able to move this on until next week, as I will be heading to our family cabin for this holiday weekend. I'll be able to reply to posts, and RP NPCs, but won't be able to move along the story, not until I get back home again.
Io thanks Khloe for the information. It feels to him like the further he travels the more concrete information he finds. He however feels less confident about how close he's getting though as the time between the woman leaving and him showing up seems to be very inconsistent.
Over the next several days of sailing, Io would pray in his room, walk around on deck and occasionally ask whoever was up at the crow's nest on look out duty if they saw any ships sailing nearby. He was almost hoping they would run into some ship who's crew would have seen the covered up woman.
(Those new bards from Tasha's can animate items, I think. Crafting magical items is the purview of the artificer and *maybe* the forge cleric classes, though, AFAIK)
The next few days of travel goes by uneventfully. A few squalls pass by, soaking the crew, but leaving the ship mostly unharmed.
On the fourth day out from the last port you hear shouting coming from the deck. Moving to investigate you find several of the sailors squared off, one with a bloody nose and looking ready to get into a fist-fight with a seconed member of the crew. The rest of the crew there argue among themselves, clearly unable to agree on what happened.
Going by what you overhear it seems that the blood-nose crew member got smacked by a loose beam,w hen the other sailor didn't lash it down properly. Half of the crew thinks the sailor should get taught a lesson for their shaddy work, while the others believe it was a simple mistake, and just bad luck the second crew member got bashed by the beam.
Gnorcys moves in, talking strongly to those fighting, but does not seem to have any affect on the situation, actually causing several others to move in to support the two fighting, now there are 6 crew members included in the brawl.
The first-mate, Rhordon, steps up, flexxing his huge minotaur muscles, but does not seem able to discourage the fight either.
Aughus, moves in, trying to use some logic to get the situation under control, but also has no effect on the crew. They seem set on this fight, and not their captain, the first mate, or even their moral leader are able to get them to back down.
Rolled a crew check, failure, a intimidation check for Gnorcys, failure, a intimidationc heck for first-mate, failure,a nd an int check for Aughus, failure. Not good...
Even as Aughus is stepping back fists start to fly. More of the crew has joined in, and it is an all-out Mutiny now, as several of the crew move to strike at the officers as well as each other.
Roll initiative and tell me what you do as the Mutiny starts.
Xerronios scours the shops of the town prior to their leaving, searching musical instruments. He wants to purchase the best, most well-constructed and beautiful lute he can find. He's looking for a show piece, something a traveling bard would use as part of his act before lords and ladies. He also tries to plunder any bookstores of tomes relating to magic and the creation of magical items. (ooc: let me know what, if anything, he finds and the cost)
Once back aboard the ship, the bard spends most of the time when he isn't helping the crew studying his lute (ooc: either the one he bought or his own), singing to it, trying various ways to imbue it with the power of his song. He knows this will be a long process, with no guarantee of success at the end, but it's something that has been calling to him for many years. He keeps detailed notes on his processes, his attempts and failures and, hopefully, the rare success.
ooc: What I'm thinking is that he'd like to craft a magical lute that, when played either gives a target a bardic inspiration, or perhaps boosts the power of his bardic magic (maybe raising his DC or granting an additional spell slot or 2). I'd welcome any suggestions.
Looking up at the sound of a disturbance on the deck, Xerronios leaves his lute behind but brings his weapons and flute on deck to see what's happening. "A brawl?" he says with surprise. "What could have started it," the question is asked rhetorically as he knows no one listening to him could possibly know.
Initiative: 19
Moving towards the combatants, he calls out "Everyone not fighting move back!" Then the bard puts the flute to his lips and begins playing a soothing song, a song to put the unhappy, the stressed, even the violent to sleep. He accompanies it with some bardic magic, a spell of sleep.
Sleep cast at 2nd lvl, centered on the fight, keeping himself far enough away. HP affected 36
Caught off guard by the mutiny, Ritha narrows her eyes. "Enough of this nonsense!" she yells, sweeping her hand over the deck and causing a fog cloud to roll out over the combatants, in an attempt to keep them from murdering one another.
Kanlos puts his hands near his daggers, but doesn't yet draw them, and tries to read the mood of the crew, looking for key agitators that might be pushing things.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Io stares at the chaos in front of him. In the past he would have commanded his men to break up the fighting but he had lost that type of sway for a quite a while now. All of his spells are geared towards dealing death. He doesn't want to kill he crew so he can't use any of his spells in good conscience. He waits to see if the rest of the party have any ideas on how to handle this.
Kanlos Watching the fighters, you don't see anyone exactly leading this revolt. It seems it is a spur-of-the-moment thing. Mostly just bad timing on several levels. Four days of being bored on ship, shaddy workmanship (likely not the first time by this sailor,) and a bad response from the officers, all made this into something more than it would ever have become on its own. You would believe the crew is rather happy with the officers, and with this mission you are on, so this came out of no where.
Ritha You cause a bank of dense fog to cover the deck of the ship. There are cries of pain and frustration from inside the fog still though, clearly the fighters are not willing to give up that easily.
Xerronios Pay whatever you think such an instrament is worth. Likely it would have some sort of gemstones or precious metals on it, so that might decide the cost. There is no real masterwork option in 5E, at least that I've been able to find. I'll leave it up to you on how much you would spend on such an item. It will depend on how fancy you wish it to be after all. As you cast your spell, during the brawl aboard ship, there are thuds as unconscious people fall to the ground. You cannot see in the fog to know exactly how many, or exactly who, you managed to put to sleep.
Io Watches and waits for a time to make a move...
The brawl continues inside the fog, though has lessened some. Likely several of the key fighters are now sleeping on the deck of the ship, while others of the crew have likely come to their senses some by now.
"Stop this now!" Gnorcys voice can be heard over the hubbub of the fight still going on in the fog. "If this goes any further we will have to follow Mutany laws, and neither you nor I wish that." Several more of the crew leave the fighting at this, knowing the penalty for mutany is very steep. There are a few still fighting though.
Kanlos draws his bow and moves to stand beside Gnorcys, arrow knocked, but not yet drawn, trying to show the seriousness with which this even will be taken as well as ready to fire should anyone move to strike the captain.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
ooc: He'll pay 100 gp for the fancy lute. Was he able to find any tomes or other research material?
Cursing inwardly at the fog, though it was as good idea he still wished he could see how efficacious his spell had been. Still, it had had some success. "Let's do it again," he says. He increases the volume of his singing, cutting through the cacophony of the fighting, laying another spell of sleep on the fighters.
Performance 14 Sleep at Lvl 2, again centered on the the fighters or were they'd been anyway. 26

OOC: What? There’s no such limitation in the DMG. Most spellcasters can do it. I was just curious if bards were included in that group.

Kanlos will spend his time learning as much as he can about sea travel, hazards, how he might help the crew in an emergency or anything else he can.
(OOC: I don't see why bards couldn't craft a magical item.)
