Ritha cleans off her swords and re-sheathes them. "What do you suppose they wanted of us?" she says as she turns to the others. "And is anyone injured?" She looks for the captain to ask if the ship was damaged by the giant crabs as well.
Xerronios voice changes, becoming deep and resonant as he chants an ancient leonine victory song. Not the full ballad, of course, they don't have the 2 days for that, just the first verse and the chorus.
Io sheathes his sword and takes the tea. Pushing the visor of his helmet up he keeps an eye on the waves and says, "I'm mostly fine..." He drinks the tea while keeping his eyes fixed on the waves, staying ready to jump back into action at the slightest sign of more danger. "Thank you for the medicinal tea" He will add, while still looking to the waves to stay alert for danger.
(Just realized I have been using Austin instead of Yanna here, will be fixing that as we move forward. Any previous places you see Austin, just realize I was speaking of Yanna...)
Gnorcys and the officers of the ship gather on the aft deck, as the ship gets under way once more.
"You did good to keep those hags at bay." Aughas informs the group of you as you join them there.
"Keep them at bay?" Yanna snorts with an amused chuckle. "They bloody-well killed one of them, and drove the other two away, that is a far sight better than just holding them at bay." She has blood on her leathers, and several rents in the armor, though the flesh under looks whole, likely having been healed.
Misty, who seemed about to speak, glances at Yanna with a narrowing of her eyes and remains quiet. The more astute of you might realize she doesn't want to agree with Yanna on anything just now. Misty has some of her hair mussed, and looks like she has been through a battle, though seems to have gotten out of it without any wounds, or at least her own leathers have no holes in it. Not overly surprising, as she would have been up in the lookout when the enemy attacked, and likely used her bow from there.
"You did a great job indeed." Gnorcys informs the group of you. She has a lingering look at Misty, but then turns her full attention to the group of you. "We'll see more of those sorts of things from this point onward, which is why you are here after all. Tomorrow we reach the last safe port, and, from there on, we are in uncharted seas. I am a bit surprised, though not overly so, to have encountered these sorts this side of the port, but it is not unknown to happen."
Io asks the captain, "What are the chances that someone might have already ventured out into the uncharted waters? Would it be likely that a fleeing... fugitive who was in the last port we visited a day or two before we got there would be able to move into uncharted seas ahead of us?"
Ritha, seeing Kassiopeia looking confused, sidles up to her and leans in, whispering under her breath. "Don't try to figure it out. The captain told me it was man trouble between them. I hope they settle down soon enough, the atmosphere is a little uncomfortable around the both of them..."
She backs away and listens intently, still curious as to why the hags would have singled their ship out, apart from looking like a deceptively easy target. "Do you think there is trouble ahead at the last port? I would have thought there be some sort of patrol along the sea to keep the worst of dangers from the uncharted waters drifting in towards the settled lands. That they broke through makes me worry a bit."
Kanlos chuckles quietly at Ritha's comment about breaking through a patrol, "I used to lead patrols out in the wilderness. Be as thorough as you'd like and they'll still find a way through. And that's on dry land where you can follow tracks, out here, all they have to do is swim under the surface. If they hadn't attacked us, we likely wouldn't have even known they were there." Glancing over at Misty, "Speaking of, do you mind taking me up to the lookout and show me what exactly we're looking for out here? How to spot signs and identify what we're seeing?"
Xerronios nods in agreement with Kanlos. "Yes. Even if there is a such a system in place, Ritha, and I doubt that...it'd take a great many ships to have even the slightest chance of being effective...it would be easy to circumvent. I'd not read overmuch into the idea that we were attacked." He turns to the Captain. "What do you think, Captain? Anything to particularly worry about with being attacked here?"
Gnorcys shakes her head. Her ice-blue eyes still scanning the water as the ship picks up speed. She has a hand resting on the rapier at her side, though, like Misty, her studded leathers look like they went undamaged through the fight. "I would not read anything into it." She confirms. "There are patrols out there, but as your companions have said, raiding parties get through all of the time."
Kassiopeia you would recognize the slices in Yanna's leathers as those made by large pincers, like those of giant crabs. The looks the two give each other gives you the impression of two friends who are currently unhappy with each other, but likely to not let it get too out of hand.
"Very well." Misty tells Kanlos, nodding to the crows nest. "Climb on up and I'll give you some pointers." She climbs up after you, her hand grazing across your shoulder as she takes her position, maybe a bit closer than necissary, but starts to give you pointers on keeping an eye out across the sea. "It is not just about seeing what is on the water, but above and below as well." She starts.
The rest of that day, and the following night, pass by without anything obvious troubling the ship.
The next day you come into sight of Bastian, a fortress port on the edge of the uncharted sea. Due to the high towers of the fortress it is spotted from some distance.
"We will be spending the rest of today here, resupplying before pushing off into the Uncharted Sea." Gnorcys informs everyone aboard ship as the ship moves closer to the fortress port ahead. It is about midday now, so that means half a day and a full night in the port.
This is a much larger port than the last one. If you have anything you wish to do here let me know.

Just like last time, Io is going to ask for leave for the day and head into the port.
Just like last time, he will offer a small prayer to Athreos and head out in an effort to gather information on the medusa. He will first go to all the taverns he can, trying to listen for tales of any strange, men or women, covered head to toe that might have arrived in the port recently. He will ask Bartenders if they had given any lodgings to a person fully covered in their attire, wearing veils and coifs. He will join gambling tables, spending as little gold as he can per table and playing a few short rounds to try and see if he can get any information that way. Whenever he figures that he has no useful information in a tavern, he will move to the next.

Ritha will look for a shrine to Thassa and try to compare the difference in cultural practices between her own underwater hometown and how land-dwellers worship instead. She'll pay particular attention to the sorts of sacrifices and prayers offered, and see if there are new ways she can learn to please and serve the Goddess, and perhaps offer a small sacrifice of her own.
Kanlos will wander the city markets to see what might be available, and then spend the night at the temple of Athreos, attempting to commune with patron, returning to the ship in the morning and helping the crew with anything they need.
Xerronios goes ashore, intent on finding a shrine to Klothys. It was true his goddess sought no worship but he felt the need to commune with her and felt more comfortable doing so in a more formal setting. As he searched, asking questions along the way, he kept his eyes out for any shops which sold instruments or magic. Maybe he could find a magical instrument. That would be exciting.
Upon reaching the shrine, the Leonine kneels before the image of Klothys, bows his head, and murmurs, "Klothys, Lady of Destiny, I came on this journey in the fulfillment of fate. Please, I beg you, give me a sign my choice was correct, that my actions have served the Skein of Fate."

Gnorcys glances to you when you ask about people traveling into the uncharted seas. "People go into those seas all the time." She replies to your question. "Thrill-seekers, explorers, the foolish, and those just seeking to get away. So, yes, there is a way for someone to get passage out into the uncharted seas if they wish to do so."
When you arrive in the port and start traveling through the taverns, you get no responses from your questions. It is not that the people are seeming to wish to hide something, just that they do not know the answers you are seeking.
Xerronios As you travel through the shops you do find some shops with magical items, and even a couple shops that have a magical instrument. You will have to let me know what you are seeking and I'll check to see if it is available or not.
Those who visit shrines/temples You feel the warming attention of your god or goddess, but get no other overt response to your patitions.
Xerronios browses through the shops, curious what they have. When he speaks with the proprietors, he asks them to show or at least describe their wares.
ooc: Nothing in particular. For instruments, it would have to be one that he is proficient in: Bagpipes, Flute, Lute, Shawm, or one that grants proficiency as part of the magic. My character is not specifically familiar with any particular magical item or instrument so is not specific in his search.

„Io was the only one who got harmed.“ (7 poison damage) Kassiopeia notes as she mixes leaves, throws them in a tankard and pours hot water over it.
Handing the tea to Io: „That‘ll help you detox faster than you can say ‚I‘m poisoned!“
Saying a few Healing Words as Io drinks the tea. (1d4+7 HP) So Io‘s HP are restored.

Kassiopeia takes a closer look at Misty and Yanna, trying to figure out what is going on. (Insight check in DnDB)
How does it look Misty got beaten up? Close combat? Did she stumble and fall?
Ritha, seeing Kassiopeia looking confused, sidles up to her and leans in, whispering under her breath. "Don't try to figure it out. The captain told me it was man trouble between them. I hope they settle down soon enough, the atmosphere is a little uncomfortable around the both of them..."
