As you sleep one night on the boat you have a vision... You are a great leviathon of the deep, swimming through dark waters. Ahead of you though is a brightness, something you must find and a place you must reach. It draws you strongly, and you propel yourself through the water with speed to reach it. The feeling of the powerful body is astounding, you feel powerful, like a ruler of the ocean itself. When you wake you sense something off in one direction still, a place you are pulled towards. When you wake up you find A lustrous seashell laying on your chest. A clear omen of Thassa.
Windlass wakes and holds the shell, running a finger along the edge. She rises and walks to the gunwale and peers off in the direction she feels the pull.
Perception: 14
If anyone is around she will tell them she feels a pull in that direction. "Thassa needs me to go there."
Xerronios, as has become his habit, spends the first couple of days back at sea composing a ballad about the time on the island, what they saw, who they fought, what they achieved...or didn't as the case is. When it's ready, he gives a performance in the early night hours, just after the third meal.

(With how many high rolls Xerronios is getting for ballad composing, he's going to end up with Theros' version of the Illiad by the end of this lol)

(Odyssey, the Iliad was the battle, Odyssey was the voyage. And I really hope this game doesn't turn into a ten year siege.)
You keep the crew spllbound with your music, playing late into the night. You only stop playing when you are simply too tired to continue. As the music fades into the night the crew stands and gives you a loud cheering ovation.
Windlass
You sense the direction to where your goddess wishes you to go. Directing the crew, you get the ship pointed in the correct direction and head towards that sensation.
Xerronios
As you travel onward you sense something as well. A combining of fate with Windlass, that your own god approves of the change of direction, and wishes you to also continue onward towards this new destination.
Arrival
It is several days of travel, but, after some time, you come upon an area where storm clouds churn up the sea ahead. The storms are filled with huge blasting forks of lightning, and, even from a distance, the sound of thunder pounds the air. Both Windlass and Xerronios feel pulled onward, towards the storms.
Xerronios turns to his friends. "Does anyone feel compelled onward, toward the storms? The needs of Fate lie within that storm, or perhaps through it."
Xerronios turns to his friends. "Does anyone feel compelled onward, toward the storms? The needs of Fate lie within that storm, or perhaps through it."
Kanlos looks at his friend with an astonished expression, "I can honestly and safely say that the thought of sailing into that storm has not, and would not have, occurred to me as anything resembling a good idea."
“It is where we must go,” Windlass says. She goes to the captain and again offers her services to cast gust of wind at the sails to help guide the ship, or even to negate some gust from the storm that might threaten the masts.
"I too have no desire to sail this ship into that storm." Gnorcys tells Windlass as the request is made. "I know you feel drawn to it, but could it be a trap?" She looks hesitant, not wishing to go against her own goddess, but fearing the safety of the ship in that strange storm ahead.
Please give me a persuasion check for anyone who wishes to talk Gnorcys into taking the ship into the storm.
Xerronios eyes the storm askance but nods his agreement with Windlass. “The Lady of Fate requires us to enter. Im no more thrilled than any, but we are all tools at times.”
Gnorcys eyes Xerronios for a bit, then grits her teeth. "Into the storm then." She says, nodding to the crew. It is a sign of how much they trust her, as they all move out without a single opposing argument. The ship turns towards the storm, and the storm parts. The sound of crashing waves fill the air, a clear sign of the Sea Goddess's pleasure. Even with the storm parting to give the ship passage, it is not an easy feat to sail the ship into the gap in the storm clouds. Great reefs dot the water, and the sea itself swells oddly with strong storms boiling to either side of the ship.
Tell me what you do to aid in the sailing of the ship through the gap in the storm. Gnorcys, and her officers, will handle the main effort, but what do you personally do to aid in this?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xerronios strolls around the ship, keeping us a constant sound of fun, uplifting songs and ballads, anything to keep the crew's spirits up. If anyone, from the lowliest hand to the captain herself, looks like they are about to engage in a particularly difficult task, he works hard to specifically inspire that person [ooc: gives and Inspiration Die]. He also keeps a close eye on the sailors in the rigging, ready to use the magic of feather fall at any moment. He also calls into being an unseen servant and uses it to fetch food or water for the crew.

Windlass does her best to wait for an opportunity to use gust of wind to help push the ship in a burst of speed when it needs one, or to counteract a sideways gale that threatens the ship. She will also help navigate the ship with her proficiency, and continually cast guidance on the captain to ensure she has everything she needs to get them through the storm.

The magical storm constantly rages to either side of the ship as you sail onward, thrashing the water to foam. The storm-wracked area is filled with reefs and jagged rocks, making it incredibly hazardous to ships. On the lookout post, Kanlos tries to keep watch for the reefs and rocks, but finds it difficult to tell what is what, not having seen such turbulent seas before. Luckily Misty is there with him, and is able to spot some of the more dangerous reefs. The ship still pumps into a few rocks, as even she is having trouble spotting all of the dangers in the rough water. Gnorcys pilots the ship through the opening in the storm, needing to use all of her skill to keep it from hitting the reefs that Misty warns her of. Still the ship is slammed into a couple rocks quite hard, the sound of splintering wood loud to those aboard the ship. The ship remains on course, but it is clear that, even with the guideance and inspirration given, Gnorcys is having a hard time of it. Ethan, the ship's bosun, quickly moves to the worst of the damaged areas, his helpers working hard to seal up any leaks as the ship continues onward. They keep the ship afloat as it eases through the opening in the storm.
After an hour of sailing you come out the far side of the storm, the ship a bit worse for wear, but still sea worthy, at least long enough to get to the beach ahead. It is a small island, a jutting spur of rock surrounded by a beach. It is no more than half a mile across. The island’s beaches make for an easy landing by shallow-hulled boats. Just past the beach, sheer cliffs rise-up to a needle point, 1,500 feet into the sky. A number of caves are dotted around the base of the cliffs and further up the cliffside. A rough-hewn path spirals its way from the base to the pinnacle.

Kanlos would have spent those few days continuing to learn more about crewing the ship, enough that he'd be able to step in and help if needed.
