Kaseon rests a calming hand on Eve's shoulder (I figure a passive 13 insight notices her discomfort), "Relax, we will solve this mystery, and continue to protect this town. Relax and focus on the matter at hand. What does this teach us? It isn't simply affecting the isolated, there's no one less isolated than a innkeeper. And he was fine yesterday, so it strikes quick. Unfortunately, that tells me nothing, any of you?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Edge looks down at the stricken innkeeper, his innate curiosity about what ails the man warring with Edge's desire not to also catch whatever he has.
"Edge think maybe not touch friend Penn too much," he says to the others, noting Eve cradling his head in her lap and Senna with her hand on Penn's face. "You good persons but Edge remember story of disease jump Tabaxi to Tabaxi by touch."
While the others deal with the innkeeper, Edge makes his way behind the bar and takes a peek in the kitchen to see if there are any clues there as to what may have happened.
Kanithar: You throw open the door and find Imzel inside checking on one of the three men asleep in the infirmary beds. When she realizes what you just said her eyes go wide and she reaches down grabbing a bag sitting by her feet. She rushes after you towards the Inn and dashes up to Penn, his head laying in Eve's lap. She begins checking him over, then raises his eyelids and angles his head to get the best amount of light. She looks to you and asks, "Could you bring him to the infirmary please?"
Edge: Checking the back you don't find much out of the ordinary other than a bucket of water and a several soaked rags off to the side.
((@Kaseon and @All: yes, I thought a roll of 10 was pretty perfect really as it shows she’s uncomfortable but keen to try and hide it. And I think most will have higher passive insight than 10. I’m happy for anyone to RP and deduce what they want to, from what they think they notice))
Eve stays dead still, perhaps looking a little uncomfortable. She rides it out as best she can and is pleased when Kanithar approaches to carry Penn away.
As soon as Penn is lifted off her lap, she stands up and takes a step back with her hands behind her back. She shrinks back, having little to offer in the way of healing. Just looking concerned, mostly for Penn’s well-being, probably.
Garcis watches this from where he is slowly chewing at a hunk of meat that has been serving as his breakfast. He will approach and pull out one of his potions. "Would this be of any help? I am not sure about illness but if it can help until the healer comes use it."
Edge recoils a little from the pungent aroma coming out of the bucket and rags.
Something tickles in the back of his mind, but he's not sure what yet. The first victim of this plague was a fisherman, then there was a guard, and a gardener and now the innkeeper. None had families, but then they haven't seen much in the way of families around here so far. Fisherman, gardener and innkeeper could all be exposed to the water from the river, but if that was the source, the whole town would be sick.
Frustrated at the lack of information so far, but delighted by the puzzle it has created, he leaves the kitchen to join the others and head to the infirmary to find out more.
Imzel takes the lead back to the infirmary and has Kanithar place the man into one of the three remaining beds in the main room. The other three beds are taken by the three previous men that had fallen ill who toss and turn randomly. The three men have chalky white skin that appears to be damp and clammy.
Imzel begins checking Penn over, removing his clothing and checking for bites, cuts, scrapes, and anything else that might possibly explain what might have caused his sudden illness, "They all come in like this, feverish at first, then the body cooling down as they go into a comatose state. None of them," She waves her hand in the other three men's direction, "Have had a moment of lucidity since they went unconscious."
She goes over to a chest and rummages around for a moment, pulling out a scroll case that she opens and pulls several parchments from. "I've tried several magical scrolls that I've bartered for over the years, but nothing has helped..."
She rolls four sheets of parchment out flat and stares, obviously pondering if trying one will make a difference.
Kaseon looks to his new allies, "Our friend Senna here attempted some of her own method of healing, but it didn't seem to have done too much. Do any of you have any prior knowledge of illnesses? I know of greater magics that can heal almost anything, but I'm not capable of anything near that level."
Having followed the others for the infirmary Senna listens carefully to what Imzel says about the victims. She will try to determine what the scrolls are for, to see if she recognizes them or their uses.
Yes as Kaseon mentions, i tried some magical healing. It seemed to relieve some stress but he still fell unconcious.
He ponders about what to do. I have no magic to cure diseases. Looking up in the room Ramevik, do you have any potions that cure illness?
Senna will use Guidance on herself to focus on the scrolls to see what they might do. Guesing arcana 24
Eve follows the others from the inn to the infirmary. She’s fascinated by all the talk of healing, and magic, but she’s acutely aware that she’s unlikely to be able to help along those lines.
She waits near the back of the group like a worried child... She stays out of the way, but looks on, and listens: in case anything comes up that she can assist with.
Eve’s private thoughts:
A thought passed through her brain, (‘curse’), but doesn't quite settle in her mind before it’s gone again... She wants to ask her imaginary friend, Ipkiss, but will need to find a quiet time and place to do so.

Edge walks around each of the victims of the disease, looking closely at their skin but careful not to touch, looking for anything that might be similar on each one, even a small marking that Imzel might have missed.
(Perception: 12 )
While he looks around he listens to the questions the others have asked.
"Ah, friend ask good question. Just men," Edge says to Kanithar. "Maybe men get bad sick more easy. Maybe just more men in town. But still small number victim. Too small to know if random or something else."
Edge: Even with your acute senses, you fail to find any markings or wounds that would indicate anything that might have started this condition.
Ramevik thinks for a moment before saying, "I have made a few potions that cure poison or disease for Imzel before. Not sure if i have any currently as I've been busy working on other things such as the healing potions Mayor Hulmar wanted for you. I'll see if i can get something whipped up though." With that he takes his leave and heads back to his shop.
Imzel finally gets Penn settled in the bed and says, "From here it's just a waiting game I guess. They are still alive, and we have dispatched a courier to the Urlingwood to request aid from the head of the Wychlaran."
Edge looks up from the patients and makes his way over to where the others were talking with Imzel near Penn.
"Fisherman, first man sick, yes?" he asks. "Maybe we look his boat or his house."
He looks back at the patients. There doesn't appear to be anything they can do to help. Imzel seems to know more about healing than any of the party and they might just be getting in the way.
"First Edge like see blacksmith. See if have silver."
Eve contemplates what has been said. She is concerned much by all of this, and is shows on her face...
At an appropriate moment, she asks quietly from the back, “Ramevik? Imzel? We want to help here, truly.... But I fear we have come late to the party... ...From what you already know, from what you’ve seen,... and if you had the strength and numbers that WE do...” she says looking around at her companions, “What would you do next? Where would you head? What can WE investigate FOR you??...”.
Eve smiles, and almost chuckles, up at Kanithar. As he turns towards the door, she reaches out, as he’s about to go past her and grabs his hand. She just holds it and stands there to keep him there (if he’s willing).

Edge: The bucket stinks of heavy perspiration, the rags were most likely being used as damp clothes that would be placed on the body to cool it down.
(OOC: Will get more posted in a bit later.)
