Cifray takes a moment to psyche herself up. Slapping her face and doing a little stretch where she slept. She holds out her quarterstaff, ready to fend off anything, and alert her party if needed.
5 minutes later.
"ZZzzzzz..."
Corwin, being the one who needs less sleep than the rest of his group, slowly rises. You'd gauge it is a few hours till' dawn, and everyone is sleeping soundly. He takes in a sigh of relief, as nature seemed to grant them protection from whatever monstrosities lurk behind the trees. That's when he realizes something, someone is missing.
"Is he out watering a tree or did those creatures return?" Gorm asks, annoyed, when awoken. "Is there sign of a struggle?" She asks, already carefully walking around not wanting to disturb any signs. "Is his bedroom still there? Is it still warm?"
Once everyone is awoken and the scene is looked over, Gorm will again call out as if for a lost child. "Moooooskov! Mooooooooooooskoooooov!!"

When Shadow realises that another team member is missing she will start to look for tracks. She thanks the gods that she is able to see even though the dawn is still some time away. Being in the forest makes it easier for her to find what she is looking for.

Basina Fairfoot- Halfling paladin Shadow through the forest (Shadow) - Tabaxi Ranger (beastmaster)

Corwin emerges from his trance, feeling rejuvenated but still wanting to rest quietly in the wilderness and perhaps enjoy the first hints of sunrise. Yet something feels off. He does a quick head count and sees that the tall half-elf is gone. He quickly takes action, leaning down toward the closest member of the party and gently shaking their shoulder and hissing "Wake up! The one called Moskov is gone! Wake the others!"
As the inevitable chain reaction of waking and confusion sets in, Corwin starts looking for tracks, signs of struggle, and the like, trying to determine which direction Moskov may have gone, relying on his darkvision to help him see what he needs to see. He assumes the half-elf has not just taken off on his own or decided to leave the group.
Survival to find tracks, signs of abduction, etc. 21
Corwin and Shadow scour the area, looking around where Moskov slept. Shadow is the first to notice strange claw-like footprints in the dirt. They do resemble those creatures she saw the other day. She also sees that Moskov was probably taken in his sleep. There are no signs of blood or magic being used in the immediate area. Corin is able to follow the tracks of about four or five of these creatures leading north. Exactly the way the group was heading before camping for the night.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Corwin looks more carefully at the tracks, trying to determine if they likely could belong to the same nasty creatures they fought earlier. He assumes they are, but one never knows. Those nasty things seem like they might have just killed them all in their sleep.
Survival 8
OOC: Another killer roll, but at least it wasn't a one.
Shadow will make sure that the group knows what is happening.
”We can’t leave Moskow out there with those creatures for much longer. It worries me that they seem to be sentient enough to abduct one of our party but leave the others. They have something planned so we need to take care so we don’t rush into a trap.” She say in a hurried voice as she waves to Cazoon to come down from the tree.
”Follow the track my friend and keep an eye open for those creatures “ she tells him and he flies away.
“May happen they have need of his magic but not the rest of us? Perhaps he was just on the putter edge. Whatever the case, two people on each guard detail from here on out...” Gorm says grumpily as she follows the two trackers. ((Clueless about their poor rolls...))
Well. instead of trying to follow a somewhat steady path alongside the river, now the party is looking for specific footprints that gradually wind away from the group and deeper into the trees. Time and time again the two trackers, even with the divine assistance, lose the tracks. It is now early morning, you'd guage about 11-ish, and you're still trudging along.
Moskov. The half-elf is sleeping soundly as he is is shaken awake. The first thing he notices is an odd feeling around his wrists. They feel alot like shakles. Aside from that, the other thng he sees is an elf child with an odd bluish tint to their skin kneeing over him. They are wearing an ornate, seweed sown dress with, probably the biggest hermit crab shell he's ever seen on their back. Looking around he sees a dozen other elves of varying ages wearing the same type of clothes, only two of them were wearing shells on their backs as well. Moskov is laying up against a hardstone wall in a pretty spacious room made of the same material, various shells and stones hung from seaweed on the celling. There are two openings to the north and south of him, with a small river cutting right through them. And just outside, Moskov could see those creatures from yesterday, talking with a human man.
The elf child shakes you again. "Rise. Rise!" They whisper as best they could. "Can you understand me?"
Corwin grows frustrated at the group's difficulty in finding the trail. He turns to Shadow as they continue to struggle.
"We must work together, stick together, check each other's readings of the trail," he says, his tone very quiet and serious. "I, uh, am not much used to working with others, but we need to do this. We need to see what has happened to the half-elf."
OOC: I think we can cooperate similar to Help in combat and the one with highest Survival rank gets to roll with advantage. Also I think we both have +5 Survival, but wanted to confirm.
Moskov comes to and is confused by his surroundings. How had he gotten here? He looks groggily around at the room is in and is startled when he sees the beast just outside the doorway. He surges unsteadily to his feet and reaches to where his amulet is buried deep in his robes in a panic. He says to the children quietly but urgently in Elvish, "Get behind me." He faces the monstrosity and stands protectively between it and the kids. He asks quietly, " Where are we?"
Cifray trails along behind her companions as they search for Moskov. She seems dejected, not even able to pull forth a smile or ask them questions. How could she let these people down? Wasn't the whole reason of being in a group to take care of each other? At several points she goes to apologize for falling asleep on watch but pulls back.

Pin will be casting guidance on the lead tracker as often as she can without exhausting herself. First though she dons her armor.
