Sephi’s ball of fire sails over Olwer’s head, but Rourke’s crossbow bolt hits, despite the distractions from the crowd.
Round 3
Iork will see this thing through, though he’s getting cooked alive by his armor. Attacking Erevan despite being pelted by missiles from the Faire goers:
cast Healing Word on Erevan as a 2nd level spell (if doing so provokes no AoO in 5E-my understanding is that it wouldn't unless Iork possessed a certain feat)
9
( I misread that as attacks on Olwer by Iork. I see he's still hitting my buddy, so my buddy gets the healing spell)
Erevan is hurting under Iork's assault, but still has some fight left in him. He takes a slight step back from Iork and raises his hands into the air.
"Enough!" Erevan cries, his eyes glowing green and his voice booming unnaturally loud. "The Faire of Pudding is under the protection of the Twilight Court! There shall be no more violence visited upon anyone or any pudding!"
((Using Fey Presence, all within 10 feet of Erevan must make DC 13 Wis save or be charmed until the end of Erevan's next turn))
I assume this means my guy will not be using his bonus action to burn Iork further, unless Iork isn't charmed and thus keeps attacking. Good thing Olwer goes later in the round! Olwer can still defend himself and his allies, yes? It's a charm person effect not a command (absolutely no violence), right?
Using heat metal and casting healing word both use a bonus action. I could easily rule the casting of healing word to instead use an action but you’d lose your concentration on the heat metal spell (use it as bonus action first, then use healing word, now heat metal is over) is that what you’d like to do?

Yes, a reasonable ruling, for sure. But since you are giving me a choice, I chose to burn, baby, burn!
Can Olwer disengage to get out of melee range of Iork while maintaining concentration and using the bonus action to inflict that damage?
Olwer continues to cook Iork, while getting away and scooting back along the edge of the tent, deeper into the crowd, who continue to boo and throw things at the assailants.
Rourke reloads his crossbow bolt, cursing as he is pelted with food.
In the next round, on his turn, Olwer plans to drink his healing potion unless doing so opens him to being hit or breaks concentration. He uses his normal movement allowance to keep distance from Iork while staying with heat metal range.
No matter what, he will continue to roast Iork as a bonus action for an additional 8
"Finish him my friends!" Erevan calls out to the little people who have allied themselves to his cause. "Forget food - use tankards, forks and knives! Pelt him or pummel him! He must not be allowed to ruin this fine faire!" He hopes those who have fallen under his spell will buy him a little extra time here.
And then, probably no surprise to Iork, Erevan utters a few magic words and disappears!
((Persuasion to rally fair crowd to my cause (Adv for those who are charmed): 24 Cast Invisibility))
Olwer drinks his potion and maintains the heat metal spell. Iork grimaces, trying to hold in a scream of pain, and then he collapses to the ground.
Rourke, getting ready to fire another crossbow bolt, sees Iork go down and, with an almost relieved look on his face, runs out of the tent. He doesn’t even glance at Sephi, who seems oblivious to the development, wearing a grin of glee on his face as he continues to hurl balls of fire.

The cutting words don’t seem to have much effect on Iork. His mind is beyond reason or caring about such things.

Olwer, assuming he charms you, this is the effect:
Therefore you can proceed as normal, just can't do those above things.
Iork wis save: 16
several halflings and gnomes near you are charmed, though, Erevan (or frightened, as you wish)

Sephi the pyromaniac is hurling more fire at Olwer. You smell smoke and vaguely get the sense that the tent is on fire somewhere.
