While she is still paralyzed and he is yet invisible, Olwer hisses a warning to Erevan ''She's coming loose'', and then hastens to drag her behind a tree and out of sight of the crowd.
Elsie starts to struggle, but she’s only a halfling in a sack, so the pair of you handle her easily. More faire-goers have turned to regard you curiously. What could be going on? You can’t help but notice one halfling child tugging on her momma’s clothes and saying, “Momma, those elves are stealing a lady. Is it a game?”

Realizing he may now be plainly visible and trusting the warlock or his sprite to do something to stop Elsie, Olwer speaks in a loud voice, putting on his best imitation of mixed surprise, disgust, and pity,
"Whoa! Too much cider and cake for you, lassie! The cloth won't hold it all, so you just sick up on the grass. Let me hold your hair out of the way."

Erevan briefly considers putting both Elsie and Olwer to sleep, but decides that might not accomplish much. He hopes that Fez's bow will work its own particular magic soon enough.
He turns to regard those who are watching their halfling bagging with any concern and nods his head as he sees them falling for Olwer's ploy. He sends out a brief telepathic command to Fez. The sprite then suddenly appears in mid-air near the last halflings or gnomes who may be looking on with any concern. He starts whistling a merry tune and flying about, doing aerial stunts, twirling and twisting, slowly leading attention away from the two half-elven bounty hunters, while keeping well out of reach of any curious onlookers.
Erevan steps over to Olwer and Elsie and leans down toward the bag. He says quietly, "You've been captured, miss," he says, his voice cold and menacing. "Calm down and go quietly and everything will be much easier for you. Make a scene and we won't hesitate to bring you to justice in a shroud rather than in shackles. We won't hesitate to silence you permanently if you won't silence yourself temporarily."

Olwer proceeds to frisk Elsie--confiscating any knives or similar objects he finds-- and then tie her up in the sack with ten feet of string. At no time will he remove the sack from her head and shoulders. He covers her as completely as possible once his search is finished.
He keeps his body positioned so that anyone in the crowd looking over will see only the tree or at worst, his back.
If nothing interrupts this work, he will glance around the tree. The crowd is distracted? If so, he suggests to Erevan, in Elvish, that they hustle eastward, out of town, and circle round to the inn to get their parcel in the saddle.
Erevan agrees with Olwer about the general plan. Fez keeps up the distracting aerial dance long enough for he two half-elves ro make o even quickly to the east.
You must pass by the Squirrel and Nightjar Inn in the way out, and Miss Buttertree bursts out of the building as you do so. She’s quite upset, blubbering and making a scene!
”Oh masters, forgive me, but tragedy has struck! Your companion, the 3rd one of you, I’m afraid the worst has happened. Please forgive our impudence, but we peeked in the room to see if he was feeling well, and, well, he wasn’t! That is to say, he’s laying in his bed, DEAD!”

Olwer tightens his grip on the sack and frowns darkly, but otherwise shows no strong emotion.
Miss Buttertree is bawling. "I don't know, I'm just a simple innkeeper! Honest to goodness, I didn't see anyone come or go all day, it's been quiet as a mouse here, what with everyone busy up at the faire. I never heard him stir all day, so I cracked the door open, and he was in bed, so I c-c-came up to him... And... And then I could s-s-see he wasn't... Wasn't breathing... A-a-and he was c-c-cold... So cold..." Her eyes unfocus as she recounts this dreadful scene and she gives a shudder. Clearly she's not used to patrons dying in her establishment.
''Excuse me, Mistress Buttertree. This comes as quite a shock. If you will give us a moment alone, please."
Olwer will privately suggest that they check out Taro's corpse and look around the room before transporting the prisoner. Signs of foul play may necessitate a change in plans, but of course Olwer won't make any decisions without Erevan and he won't abandon him. Olwer will keep the prisoner in the sack, closely watched at all times. Any peep out of Elsie will earn a shake of the bag and an offhand remark about maybe cooking some 'rabbit stew.'
Erevan is stunned at the news. He thought that Taro might have decided to sneak off on his own for some reason, but dead in his bed was not something that could've been predicted.
Erevan agrees with Olwer that they have an obligation to look into this. "Who knows?" he says quietly to Olwer, so that no one else--including the "rabbit" in the bag-- can hear him. "Maybe someone is looking to take out all of us?"
He joins Olwer in an investigation of the body and the room.
Put in spoiler in case of drug overdose trigger (TL;DR Taro died of a drug overdose):
You find Taro lying in his bed, just as Miss Buttertree described, stone cold dead. It appears he had choked on his own vomit, many hours ago. You see a small pouch lying near one of his outstretched hands in the bed, with a powdery blue substance spilling out. You've spent enough time in Baldur's Gate and other large cities, working both with and against other seedy criminal-types, to know what this is: it's usually called Pixiedust, and it looks like Taro has overdosed on it.

If Erevan will take a turn watching the prisoner/bundle, Olwer makes a final sweep of the room, just in case the two bounty hunters have missed some clue about the apparently unintentional demise of their third team member.

I don't expect to find anything else, but it seems to me that Olwer would check things out a bit further, just in case this was more than bad habits meeting bad luck.
Shaking his head, Olwer mutters, "Black Bess surely took a hand in this, but if anyone else did, I can't see it."
He hastily makes a sign against evil fortune.
Turning to Erevan, he says,
"Well now...I can't see anything for it but to leave some money to see to Taro's proper burial here in Honeypuddle. His money, if he didn't spend it all. Then we take his personal effects back to Baldur's Gate and leave them with the guild to find his next of kin, unless you think we'd better do that ourselves. We've got a job to finish. I don't fear travelling at night, and I like the idea of getting an early start on the trip to the city. We can camp out under the stars, weather allowing. I'll need to rest at some point. And I'm leery of keeping our prisoner here at the inn. But what do you think we ought to do?"
Elsie's wisdom save: 1
You can feel the spell waning and life starting to come back into Elsie's limbs.
The faire-goers are starting to notice the disturbance. There are a lot of children here, by the way.

Some of the halflings laugh and turn away. Nobody looks too alarmed at the moment. Elsie growls through the sack, “What’s the big idea? Let me go!”

Olwer you find and snatch a knife out of each of her boots. Then you tie her up.
OOC Adding knives to character sheet.
For now, anyway. He's not planning to keep what is probably her property, but she can't very well be left with blades while a prisoner.
How far is it to Baldur's Gate?
And when is sundown?
Sundown in 2 hours. Baldur's Gate is 2 days' journey from here.

You see no signs of foul play. The room seems just as you left it.
