GB goes to the top of the stairs and pulls out several oil viles.  He waves all the party members through shouting at Minotaur to hurry up and crawl though.  Once the party has made it into the tunnel GB will empty the oil flasks on the area in front on the stairs and carefully on the first set of stairs. GB will use the rest of the mvmt to get away and ready a fire blast at the oil slick.

Bel moves down the stairs and gets ready to fight and/or run.

Gathered together in the large cavern, you wait for the sign of incoming enemies. 

Several voices are suddenly audible in the north guard room (from where you just came), offering a war cry before quieting back down again. They obviously expected their prey to be just the other side of the door when they came out. 

You cannot see them yet, though you can hear them, and GB is ready to cast a firebolt at the oil-soaked stairs as soon as they start to descend.

Lana notches an arrow and gets ready for the Orcs to come out. "Everyone as soon as GB lets lose the fire bolt be prepared for some to come running out!" she barks as she makes sure Spirit is out of the way.

GB hears the confusion from above and focuses on his magic.  He hears his heart beating in his chest...He awaits until the first orc notices him and steps on the first step before unleashing his fire at the oil on the top steps and landing...

An orc appears silhouetted at the top of the stairs, and begins descending, even as GB's firebolt ignites the oil. The orc screams and tries to run back, but there's already two orcs behind him who are also trying to backpedal while caught in the flames, their regress likewise impeded by the orcs behind them.

In the confusion, you all have the opportunity to act!

/ooc can we see them?

Lana seeing the first orc ignited by the flames lets her arrow lose at the screaming Orc. "Lets hope he continues to run backwards igniting them all on his retreat." she says as her arrow whistles past GB to the target.

GB flees the area and pulls his 50' length of rope from his pack and drapes it over his shoulder.  He leaps into the cavern in attempts to retrieve the severed rope bridge.  He shouts to his companions;

"Watch GB back over the hole.  GB doesn't want to risk his tail feathers on this bridge to be skewered alone on the other side."
