As GB rises from the river he drops his torch disoriented.  CM cast Fire Bolt on the tentacle about 10-15ft in front of him.

Lana aims her bow and fires at the creature as before she realized another arrow had come from behind her. Spirit not able to reach the beast moves closer to Lana to protect her.

Aregarak and GB can't see anything in this darkness, and are therefore in higher danger of becoming food.

Aregarak and Jane, actions to you!

Jane grabs a strange herb pinned to one of her many coats and whispers to it casting Faerie Fire on the Roper. Dex Save 13. 

As a bonus action she will move behind another rock and Hide Stealth 12

"He he he," She chuckles to herself, "Jane Galang be sneaky."

The roper, unable to dodge the effect of the faerie fire from this mysterious interloper, is lit up by a dim light! Its full 9 feet of rocky mass, complete with writhing tendrils, looks like a grotesque Winter Solstice Festival tree.

With a mighty roar (and the ability to 'see' the roper again - Aregarak lashes out with his mighty greatsword, the air crackles around him with electricity

and he'll also zap the roper with some electricity as well....

A huge chunk comes out of the roper at Aregarak's strike, followed by an urgent, enraged gurgle from its gullet. 

It lashes out to attack Lana with two tendrils, being unable to find the newcomer...

The roper then decided to try and eat an easier target, going for Bel instead of Aregark. He pulls the half-elf into his mouth...

Lana and Spirit, both grappled by the tendrils, are both pulled into the rushing water, and GB is pulled up onto the ledge next to the gurgling roper.

She moves to another rock and Hides Stealth 11

She sniffs the Strange Herb pinned to one of her coats and concentrates on how it makes her feel. 

The electrical storm that rages around Aregarak crackles and fills the air with the stench of ozone as he stabs his greatsword once again in to the gaping maw of the roper

(OOC - oooh I wonder if I put some metal caps on my horns if I could effectively use them like a taser when I rage! hahaha!)

GB unable to see what it happening around him decided to again grab the tendril holding him with Shocking Grasp

Lana fires at the face of the roper.
