“Nothing bad has actually attacked us until we touched it. Probably if you fiddle with that statue the wolf will spring to life and bite your throat out.”
You can't quite make out what they are saying. They are similar in tone to the whispers you heard earlier.
The one is made of fine crystal. It glitters in the torchlight from the group. It reflects a kaleidoscope of colors around the room kind of like a prism. You think that it could be used for an arcane focus.
((Should have mentioned this earlier, but the whole dungeon is pitch black. Thadalas has been carrying around a torch for the group. I'm terrible as remembering lighting. Sorry.))
Alev is awestruck by the pretty colors, but he's not as crazy for mysterious and possibly cursed crystal orbs as he is for gemstones. In any other situation, he would step in and take it, but the experience with the armor makes him feel cautious about the statue.
"It's pretty, but mine is prettier." He shurgs, pointing at the pendant he wears on his neck.

"To answer your question before, the way back is shut for all intents and purposes. You could perhaps reach the front door of this building. But as Sergei has learned, the house will not allow it."Rudick stated, finally chiming in after having spend the past few moments staring daggers at the face of the statue. "As for the Orb, do any of you sense anything from it? Does it feel like it could be the heart we sought to pierce? If not, then left be it shall for now."
With that, he turns to look at the others, knowing at least some were at least practioners of magic. When an answer is given, he just nods, gives the statue one last look, and then heads for the west and its voices. Voices his warhammer would silence, if its wielder had anything to soon say about it.

Shoulders slumping a little at the treasure to be left, Skip turns back to the group. “Gnomes can see fairly well in the dark. And ok, let’s leave the pretty ball and go see what this noise is all about”
"I still suggest watching your step." Leann says as the group looks ready to go through the western door. "Where I am from the most likely path is the one most often trapped." She will let their scout lead the way, and take up a rear guard position for the group.
Per Rudick's comment, the aarakocra takes a closer look at the orb, his beak almost touching it. "...I don't see or feel anything there, but I don't know if I would be able to tell if there was something. Sergei's the one with the magic eyes, not me. I wouldn't know, sorry."
He takes a step back. "It looks like a normal arcane focus to me, and I already have one" He turns to Skip. "That being said, do you think someone out there would be interested in buying this thing? Rose... The ghost girl mentioned something about fortune tellers when I was talking with her, and I think fortune tellers like magic crystal balls a lot. If you and everyone else is okay with the risk of the statue suddenly moving or anything like that, this could be worth some coin later on if we find the right people to sell it to."
Depending on the gnome's answer, he will either risk it and take the orb, let Skip take it, or just leave it there and walk away. Either way, he will then follow Rudick to where the chants seem to be coming from.

The party makes its way towards the door at the end of the chamber. Rudick pushes open n the door and reveal a 15 by 15 foot room. Chandelier is suspended above a table in the middle of the room. To high backed chairs flank the table, which has an empty clay jug and two clay wagons atop it. Iron candlesticks stand in the corners of the room, their candles long since melted away. Across the way, you can see a another short tunnel that leads into another room. To your right, you can see another tunnel that turns out of sight.

as he hears Alev discuss the orb, Skip says in a low tone to him “if we get a chance, we will lift it in the way out I reckon it’ll be worth a few gold”
As they leave the chamber and find the small dining space, Skip flits ahead of the group, to the tunnel the other side of the table, intending to check out what’s beyond
Much like Alev, Rudick gives the dining hall a cursory once over at best, before then continuing on down the short tunnel that led to another room without hesitation. As they weren't exactly being quite -- or at least, the Orc had been -- he still half-expected the chanting to stop at any point, or cloaked figures to come rushing around the bend for their 'tresspass'. Or perhaps all the chanting was just damned souls trapped in the house? He shook his head quickly and once, dispelling such distracting thoughts.

“I hear it” Skip calls back over his shoulder. “But why worry about what we can’t see yet when something in here will probably want to do us harm”
Sergei remarks,
“Nothing bad has actually attacked us until we touched it. Probably if you fiddle with that statue the wolf will spring to life and bite your throat out.”
“Good job I got this silver sword then” skip quips back with a smile. He does take a step back and draw the silver shortsword though

(( Lighting sucks! I’m running ROTFM with my IRL group and it’s supposed to be “darkness” all the time, well lemme just say, that sucks! ))
Sergei prefers his own arcane focus, thank you very much.

Leann can see in darkness already.
Sergei can see magical auras but cannot see in the dark. He would take the darkvision with gratitude.

Alev is completely uninterested by the dining hall. He follows Skip and takes a peek into the tunnel, trying to see what's beyond it.
